I have gone to all five boroughs of New York City To Metal Detect and beyond. I also currently own 16 metal detectors. I want to have the best and I want to help you choose the best as well. I am a treasure hunter. So in addition to metal detecting, I go mudlarking at sites such as Dead Horse Bay. Think of mudlarking as metal detecting without a metal detector.

My most important series is called Becoming A Millionaire Metal Detecting. I am trying to monetize my favorite hobby in order to do it more in the future. In other words, we put the clad we find in the ground, affiliate earnings, and merchandise earnings in to the stock market and we invest it. This show started in January 2019.

Internal Motor winding. Love the shirt Adele😂👍😊✌🇦🇺
Good spotting
Love these Dead Horse Bay videos! Just great fun with Adele!!! 😆👍👍👍
Agree 100% with Tim Thompson. You found a cut sixpence from Australia. Silver coin.
I am amazed you spotted that tiny chain...Wow!
Welcome to fun club people!! Hey Mr. Merrill!
@4:50 looks like the armature part of an electric motor. I am starting to hear that Mexican 'Aye-yaya-yaie' whenever Adele insults you and marches off.
That is a armature good eye!-yaya-yaie
SUSHI! Has been unlocked, BANG!!!
Coin made into probably part of a bracelet is a 1943 Australian silver sixpence
This is correct.
i also thought it was part of a bracelet due to holes on both ends. but, what is the glob of silver doing on the back?
Merrill, you and Adele are priceless! Didn't learn a thing about metal detecting, but was thoroughly entertained. Spring is here, the perfect time for you to rescue all the silver in the parks and fields before they bulldoze it and turn it to astroturf. Stay safe and keep digging.
Adele is just priceless .
Dude, I have to be totally 100% honest with you . When I first started metal detecting, a week ago lol I watched your you tude videos, like every one does . I came across your channel and my first impression was ,what is this weird shit haha just being honest, but today this very second I believe you have one of the best channels on you tube ,I literally just said to my wife I need my merril fix ...so thank you I appreciate all the time you take to make these videos please keep them coming.
Kevin you made my day! Thank you so much! I lm the first to admit that I’m a bit wacko, but it’s all in fun to be creative and make people smile!
That heavy thing with copper wrapped wires looks like a little motor i just found in a 30s logging dump.
Its funny the horse nose ring was not only silver but also an horse shoe to funny 😄 😆 🤣
That item at 5:00 is a motor rotor which rotates in a stator. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotor_(electric)
23:30 - The coin was a 1943 D Australia King George VI Sixpence Silver Coin. Most likely part of a bracelet lost to a fire.
The thing with the B looks like a cuff link .
Hi Merrill I think your silver piece dated 1943 is possibly trench art from WW2 . I think that it is made from an Australian silver Sixpence. These coins were minted in Denver, USA and shipped out to Oz. All the best, Alan.
Thanks!
How cool hunting there. A treasure field.. Great hunt 😎😎
Hello 👋 Merrill great video...congrats on the finds
I love the Banter between these two! Hilarious friendly competition
Adel is a rough old soul, shes cooler than backside of a pillow, nice hunt as usual, norcal detecting
Lived on Nostrand ave and ave T for years never hit Dead horse bay, and I was always at the NYPD driving range cross street at Floyd., Great mudlarking sir.
You need a shirt that says ,Dell you stift me again
The copper cylinder is the armature of a clock motor
The coin that you found that was chopped on both sides is an old Australian coin from where I live I would an old six pence or a three pence the design on it is our coat of arms it should have a kangaroo and an end on it and should say advance Australia on it if you look closely at it
Good spotting Tim
Nice finds
The first item you asked about appears to be the winging out of an old electric motor...
@22:53 it looks like an Australian 1943 silver 6 pence coin made into a ring or pendant
How did you ever find the GOLD !!!!!! chain ...GOOD JOB
haha awesome shirt adele
YAAAAAAAAY!!!!! i can never get enough Adele!!!!
Accent cracks me up. Thanks for the laughs Merrill!

Martin that truly means a lot my friend. I started detecting at a pretty dark time in my life and it has helped me cope with so many things. Keep swinging my friend!
@@MetalDetectingNYC Tangs MATE 👍
Merrill, i wondered a while back about using one of those really small water bottles, and making a vinegar and water solution that you could drop coins and other small things in the facilitate the cleaning process. would that be too harsh on the metal too? i mean, i know it wouldnt hurt over a short time, maybe just start softening the mineral build up on such items.
I believe that Finding Nemo taught us all that seagulls' vocabulary is limited to "mine, mine, mine."
1943-D Australian Sixpence made into a ring.
for the day at least you own the BAY!
26:42 clear marble!
That copper doodad, can be cleaned by letting it soke in CLR
. I have to fast forward through the unpleasantness. Not a fan of the bickering. But, the shoreline treasure hunt is always enjoyable. So many unique snips of the past.
Agreed. I know they are friends, but the bickering does get old. Love his videos and adventures, though. :D
Great finds. I wonder if you could find a name on the back of the bowling medal to whom it was awarded.
Good question. I have to clean it more!
The piece of silver wire is most likely the spring part of a old Silver Cigarette Case or Makeup Compact
Great video and great finds as always, Adele is an absolute legend, reminds me of a customer I used to have who no matter how much you did for them, you never did enough or did it right, but in an endearing way!
I have a question for you Merrill and any other detectorists in the comments, I realize I can Google this stuff and I have been looking, but I'd like some opinions from experience, I am this close to buying my first detector, and I was wondering what the general consensus around the Garrett Ace 300 is? Could I, as a complete newbie (although fairly technically minded generally) do better for the same sort of money? Or am I onto a good track? I'll mostly be detecting in soil and a lot of places locally are fairly clay-heavy soils so I don't know if that makes a considerable difference. Thanks in advance to anyone with input and sorry Merrill for hijacking your comments asking this, it just seems like it's a fairly friendly community in your comment section so I figured it would be a good place to ask.
That silver coin/ring object looks like Dominican Republic silver coin.
Looks like a small motor internal barrel
5:10. Part of motor for a drill
It's not a kwuarter. It's a small electric motor keep going buddy
13:00. Interior piece of a lock
Adele for President 2024!
Merrill be nice to Adelle please!
At 5 minutes in you found a small electric motor.
That’s a rotor from an old motor
The copper thing is the inside of a electric motor
Definitely a coin, it has denticles and a date
A cut Aussie sixpence 1943. 925silver
UNLOCKS RULE!!!!
Your find is a motor coil. You're welcome.
❤️👀
Hilarious.
👍👍👍👍🌍🌍🌍🌍
It's the core to probably a fan motor.
5:00 small electric motor armature see;
