Before the video: I actually finally got to play this game last month and Sonic 3 and Knuckles is tied with Sonic Mania as my favorite classic Sonic game.
The red guy was protecting the island... and Sonic had it coming. Flying around all gold and such. He got what he deserved.

1: Every zone in Sonic 3 except for marble garden has water
2: the beta music for carnival night, ice cap and launch base are just as good (and even better for ice cap) as the released veraions

I like how he mentioned it’s weird that they wear shoes but there’s literally a hedgehog that runs at like 500 mph and a fox that can fly.

I have a love-hate relationship with Sonic 3 Part I. Getting so many game overs while trying to defeat Big Arm, only to see such an anticlimactic ending. Kid me was a super frustrated early adopter. Yet, I still had tons of fun with it, assuming that was it. Once S&K released, it became my favorite 2D Sonic. S3&K has its own moments, but it overall feels amazing.

S3&K was my favorite classic Sonic until I played Mania. I have to agree about Big Arms being easy, I beat it on the first try with only one ring. Also I made it to the end of the video.
It may be 'easy' but... if it grabs you while you are Super Sonic..... it shows it's REAL power. (it slams the super sonic out of you and makes rings fly everywhere)
