Hey Ryan, Watching along, and seeing these barbwire fences. Why is there barbwire fences in this desert Ryan? Hope you guys have an awesome ride. Thank you!
My son and I bikepacked the northern half of the NM off road runner when he was 8 years old (4 years ago). I watched this with him tonight and it brought back some great memories, he could name all the roads in the video.
@@duzerThanks! He 'trained' by riding a very heavy single speed kids bike to school and back every day all year. We'll be watching more episodes, riding through the Manzano mountains on FR 253/422 was our favorite section.
I just checked. I'm subscribed. All notifications on. And I always need to go search your videos. I never get the notifications. It makes me mad cause I fell how much effort you make to put such a quality content on TH-cam.
I appreciate you checking...I don't understand why TH-cam would make it so hard for subscribers to find my videos, it's maddening! Thanks for sticking with me!
@@duzer Hmmm, same for me. I'm subscribed with notifications turned on. I get notified for most, but every once in awhile, one of your videos simply doesn't even show up in my feed. (This one being an example). Very strange.
Me as well too.I get most notifications but not all. Since I know you release videos on Sunday I just always check to see if a new one has come put as I can't any!! You're the BEST!!
Another data point: I am subscribed, but this video does not show up in my 'All Subscriptions' feed. The "We're Releasing a NEW Bikepacking Bike!" short does appear, though. I only realized this video was out because it appeared in my Recommendations feed.
Ryan, your companion on this adventure is aaaaalmost as amazing as you are 🤪 You guys radiate with positivity, Great video! I have enjoyed every second of it!!! Mutch love and respect Brother, keep up a good work ❤✌️😁
Interesting that it was your first rejection from an RV park. When Leon and I cycled from Ontario, Canada to New Orleans, Louisiana we were rejected from every RV park we tried except one.
Ryan, as I have said before........I don't really care for the desert, but I love watching any bike adventure you're on! Yeah, your videos are that good! DD
You and the Viking really make this video good. I love you two together. I can tell ur good friends and that’s hard to find. I love your videos. It’s very motivating
So I’ve been watching a long time… and your videos ARE inspiring and I say that in sincerity not fluff. I have to admit, and I enjoy all your videos, that the series where you have one or more companion are the best. People bring you up and it shows in these videos. Also very much enjoy the har head in your video. From an army Vet to a marine vet “try not to eat your crayons brother”. You are representing well all kidding aside.
The wind reminds me of your ride, again, through New Mexico when the Navajo family saved your butt, and you shared their story. One of your best! I'm also going to say that you didn't eat enough "real" food. 🙂
My state! I love riding old double track through the P&J (piñon and juniper) forests. I was out there today. And yes, the winds have been bonkers lately.
“This looks like the start of a great friendship..”. -Rick (maybe). Great video Ryan! Nicely curated. Like riding into a headwind, harder than it looks! Thanks.
Awesome! A lot of people think the desert is just dry hot sand. But it’s much more diverse, at least the deserts in our country. Good times. Thanks for the smiles 😘
Another fantastic adventure! Sadly I'm back on the couch for a bit, healing 4 broken ribs and dreaming of my own future bike adventures when the time is right 👍.
Hi Ryan you say that your ole ole socks are made in the USA but you might find that the Merino wool is grown right here in New Zealand so next time you promote your socks can you give NZ a shout out for growing the wool. Loving your videos i especially love your trip through Sweden, if you ever are going to do another big trip abroad you might want to consider New Zealand we have some fantastic routes like the tour Aotearoa which is 3000km (1865 miles) from the top of the country to the bottom. hope to see you in NZ one day. Cheers Chris
A new Duzer series, Sunday evenings are back to normal😁Awesome first episode, having 2 larger than life characters together will be loud😂but inspiring for sure😊Amazing effort in those winds👍
I have been watching your videos for a while. I really enjoy your kind spirit and you are so genuine. Thank you for sharing your bike adventures! I’m a cyclist and I hope to ride some of the trails you have someday.
I ride the rail trail to the farmers market in Santa Fe every Saturday! If you are ever in Santa Fe again it would be awesome to ride or host you! Love them beans!
Hey Ryan, really great video with Thomas. I'm off next week to Spain, doing my first lomg distance unsupported bike trip of about 700 kms departing from Burgos in Notthern Spain, riding down to Valencia on the Mediterranean coast. Don't think I would have done this without your inspiration.
Great to see you back on the road again! Hopefully you'll feel better. I've found that taking isotonic drink with me on a tour helps replenish the electrolytes very well!
Always look forward to the great travel videos, looking forward to the John Ryan and star ⭐️ MIRA adventure, the way you video Mira running backwards is hilarious, get in touch and fly down there, that last adventure in those mountains were spectacular
Hey I checked out your gear list but am not sure... what under shirt are you wearing? Seen throughout the video and at 18:30. I need something like that to protect my arms from getting burned. Also I didn't know BUFF was a thing... definitely going to buy one of those too to protect my neck.
Itz kewl to see how you secure your water bottles with hose clamps on the suspension fork... I used a pair of old lizard skin grips underneath the clamps...:)
Ryan, for some reason this video did not show up in my subscription feed even though I've been a subscriber for well over a year. I just now saw it as a suggested video in my "home" tab. Do you know why? Glad I caught it.
Hey Ryan, love your attitude when you’re challenged! Just attempted the Monuments Loop. Made it to Hatch on first day, some how. I did not feel good, like not hungry feeling bad crap. Decided to pack it in and try another day. New Mexico desert is beautiful, however, the sand and baby head rocks on the trails make some VERY tough riding.
I live ten miles from Moriarty, NM and I am incredibly sad and ashamed that Cuervo Mountain RV Park turned you away, and that you had to resort to Taco Bell (which should be illegal in NM). I hope the rest of New Mexico treats you better!
I couldn’t believe it, never had an RV park deny me. As for Taco Bell, it was kinda late and most of the local restaurants were closed. Don’t worry, I still love NM
These are lighter, easier to setup (one air chamber instead of two), can be serviced at any bike shop (they’re made in the Fox factory) and yes, easier to mount things.
