“You know when they have a fishing show on TV? They catch the fish and then let it go. They don’t want to eat the fish, they just want to make it late for something.” - Mitch Hedberg 😂
This is exactly what I dream of: traveling the world on a bike. Patagonia is so beautiful, and one day I will be able to go there too. Biking, camping, fishing, enjoying the views, meeting new people, and experiencing other cultures-that's the dream.
Watched this while getting my daughter to bed and absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. Miles is definitely one of a kind. Reminds me of a late brother of mine whom I biked hundreds of miles with. Thanks for the video!
Happy that you enjoyed our Patagonia so fully! beer, empanadas, fernet and fishing. They achieved a great adventure. May it not be the last! greetings from Buenos Aires.
THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A FLY FISHING ADVENTURE VIDEO! Dude, awesome skills. You can definitely tell the amount of work you put into this and it’s absolutely amazing! Congrats on the video man, can’t wait for the next ✌🏽
I closed the window, and looked the video up again because I forgot to like and comment. It's not much, but I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this story. You deserve the algorithmic help, regardless of how small a like and comment may be.
I see the landscapes of my province, Chubut, and it moves me. I am from Epuyén, and this summer I saw them on the road near El Bolsón! I'm glad you enjoy this land as much as we do. You still have the Beer Trail pending, from Bariloche to El Maitén through dirt roads and countryside.
Bravo to this guy. He is living a freeing life. After working my ass off in an office and buying into the "American Dream". I would love to just sell all and be nomadic. Be able to see all of the wonderful places like this. Good on him for getting it done. BTW this was a badass little film and truly enjoyed watching it.
Hey! my girlfriend and I met Miles last year during what we remember as one of the nicest dinners in our travels. We met him in Ecuador on the Quilotoa loop. He's such a nice guy and he maybe inspired us. We were backpackers back then but are currently bike packing the Indian Himalayas. Thanks Miles for what felt like Christmas Eve in July.
Will! Holy shit this was masterful film making and story telling! Bravo man! Unbelievable doc! So so talented. I’m now thinking bigger for my fly fishing adventures!
As I've come t expect from Phelps on the Fly, this wonderful piece of work is about about so much more than fishing, even though I LOVE the fishing. What a joy to see quality video-art like this. Thank you, Will, Erika, and Miles!!
Came across this wonderful film by pure chance. The athomsphere, editing, sound, particularly the colors...they kind of evoke a comfortable, gloomy feeling of longing for a more `free` life on one hand and incites a strong motivation to get out (on the bike) to do whatever asap on the other hand. So, thanks so much for this artifact of the best life. Long may yall run. Best from northern Germany
excellent video. loved the color of the rivers. deep green. I was glad to see that Miles did not take the Highway down Baja. No shoulder with speeding trucks. Congrats to all three of you.
Awesome to watch but hard for you three. Your film making is brilliant and a joy to watch . Those memories will stay with you all forever , I hope . You captured the scenery and culture well and of course your cycling task for it was a task. Thank you for this and keep making the videos . Well done .
watching that scene around the 40-minute mark, the music, the shots, i just sat back and felt all of it. and then the tree snag. bravo zulu. i gigglesnorted. great film.
I am 100% not missing a single blink of my eyes, kept it wide open. Duudee, this is insane! (like Miles would say, in a good way) Love every part of it. As a person who just made my way to cycling and been videographer for a while, this is inspire me. A lot. Thank you so much for sharing dude, loud shoutout from Indonesia 👋
excellent video, cycling and fishing, it couldn't be better, thank you for visiting Argentina, we hope to see you again, congratulations on the video, greetings from Argentine Patagonia 🚲🇦🇷🎣
Muy buena! Gracias! I LOVE Patagonia. Seriously makes my heart hurt I miss it so bad! Thanks for showing the beauty of Patagonia. Amazing scenery, fishing, people...the whole package!
Another great video by Phelps! Just the quality and effort put into these videos deserve a higher audience. This is the second time I watch this one, now on this account, and it always makes me happy but sad when Miles is left alone again. Keep it up.
That was a pretty epic adventure in Patagonia. That Miles well rode for miles. Nice work on the video. It was really cool to see that part of the world. Just do it
I rarely comment on TH-cam videos, but had to on this exceptional content. Loved the fly fishing but especially enjoyed the honest reflection. Just do it, and slow down.
Wow. Havent finished watchjng this yet but its one of the best productions ive seen on biking. Thanks for taking the effort. Hopfully be doing this soon and was thrilled to see the tumblweed prospector!!! Sheffield u.k.
So much fun to watch as always! Great job to yall! With a scarf and a hat like that you guys have to get up to Burlington, VT! Lots to do on Lake Champlain and the surrounding area!
Watching from UK🇬🇧 i to fly fish and this is 1 of the places id love to fish Patagonia... Just absolutely bloody brilliant to have such great friends to do this with you across the Americas with you I hope you all stay friends forever I wish you all the best and have fun stay safe.... 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍 PS an unbelievable achievement i salute you sir
Great film Will . Two of my three passions cycling fishing and the other being motorcycling. All three can get you away from the city and breathing fresh air. Even here in the UK you don't need to travel far to achieve that.
Wow. I honestly thought this was from a much bigger channel based on the production quality. It was so refreshing to watch. Would love to see a follow up interview with Miles.
I saw what you did. Your friends went to different places. It was beautiful and encouraging. I want to ride my bike again. Thank you, brother.🙏🙏🙏💓💖🚵💤🚴💨
In the last 10 years I take my time on long rides. Nature is truly Amazing also in times very protective. I careless those Centuries or small groups rides of whom is finishing first etc.. Your Video is so inspiring that reminds Im not the only one who things that way. Keep up this great inspiration. Its Enlighten!!
I watched a lot video same here. Each video, each emotion. But too much impression here, the feeling is immerse myself into your video to experience together. Thank you for producing & sharing. From Viet Nam with love.
I really love this video, I just keep coming back to it and watching it again. Everything about it, the filming, the scenery, the friendship, the adventure, the shared passion and the fun, it’s all just great stuff. Magnificent job. I do have one question though, what happened to Miles’ Rohloff hub? Did that break or didn’t he like it perhaps?
Thank you so much for your support! It means a lot. He did have some issues with it, it was difficult to service it and get parts for it abroad. He switched to a standard drive train that was easier to service.
@@PhelpsontheFly Thanks so much. Yes I was wondering because all you hear is that Rohloffs are indestructible and go forever. Looks like things can go wrong. Hmmm.
Now THIS is quality content. Most youtubers should take notes. Worth every minute of my life spent watching it. Thank you guys. Mucho inspiration.
Wow, thanks for such kind words and thanks for following along! Cheers!
Thats true! Enjoyed watching
