@@diffypoo I reckon that would be a winning combination DiFFy. I've liked Chris on Top Gear but only when he is behind a wheel, in my opinion he doesn't do the studio work very well... and Matt LeBlanc was just as pathetic as Chris Evans.
idk about you guys, but there's something about Chris Harris. This is the 6th time I'm watching this M2 Competition review and it amaze by how he handles the car and giving a well proper review. It's so seamless and spontaneous.
When Chris talks about steering feel: I've got a lesser 2 series (60% of the power, 90% of the weight) and I reckon you get a lot of information through the seat. Like you can sense what each individual wheel is doing, how hard each tyre is working and how close each wheel is to the limit of traction mid corner. I've not much idea how they engineer that into these cars but I'd be very reluctant to part with mine!
No one reviews like Chris - what a natural! This man worked his life to be where he is today - the reviews are so organic and effortless yet beyond engaging! WELCOME BACK CHRIS!
No one can place a sliding car like Chris Harris, would love it if the video was a little longer though. Not really bothered what he drives next, the new DBS would be nice though
I just picked up a 2020 M2C in Hockenheim Silver on Black with DCT. I wish I could wring its neck the way Chris Harris does. I really enjoy the tail happy personality but I think I will be spending a lot on rear tires. First world problem…
Glad BMW have finally put the S55 into the M2. My only problem with this model is interior build quality. I drove one with dash rattles (customers car) for a couple of weeks, and I'd fix one rattle then find another elsewhere. The car seemed to resonate through the chassis under load, and the interior plastics and lack of fasteners holding it all together, made the dash and door panels on the passenger side resonate and rattle in everyday driving. Found it disappointing, but interior plastic quality seems to be something BMW have struggled with for quite sometime unfortunately.

Alex Napper the problem I have with them is the lifeless steering. The original M2 steering was lifeless. Couldn’t feel a thing. Plus it was slow. The engine spec, its power/torque output and the required heft in the transmission required to cope with that, the chassis bracing and the fact that it needs to relatively affordable so it can't be made extensively of expensive light weight materials , would dictate a weight around what it is.
