For some reason the PS4 controller, while working with my PC and in Steam, the Dolphin Emulator is just not detecting any button inputs. driving me nuts.
You might have to play around with different controller pre-sets. I remember there being different controller types, try a few and see if you have any luck!
If you use DS4W and the gyro patch, you can use the DS4 in another emulator with working gyro. Since Dolphin can do this with real wiimotes, do you know of any way to do it with a PS4 controller? I have searched and tinkered, but can't seem to get anything to work....
Sorry for the super late reply! Make sure you try USB 2.0 ports as well as 3.0. ports. Ideally don't use front panel USB connectors as they can be a bit unreliable.

It detects the controller, but wont detect when i press the buttons to assign them. Only thing that gets detected is the trackpad. Any idea how could this be fixed?

There appears to be a common issue in using PS4 controllers with Wii games. I would try a different controller type in Dolphin or a different controller all together

you can map both the L and L-analog on the same button (L2) that way you can soft press and strong press

Capt Mifune Have you tried using a different USB port? Preferably not a usb 3.0.
Tried in several USB ports, and wireless as well. Controller works fine with other games just not with dolphin...

My DS4Windows is working, but the dolphin emulator won't read it, It worked on previous versions of the emulator, bu now It won't?!

I would hope dolphin would auto read that it is a gamecube controller and allow you to sinc up the bottons using one of the presets
