You couldn't have made a better setup guide for Dolphin Wii & GameCube game. Heck, you even covered the Wii Remotes. Hopefully, some games don't require a Wii Remote, but I also wouldn't doubt it either. Just starting this up for the first time. Thanks so much for the help! Cheers!🍻

A note on using the widescreen (16:9) option, it can mess with graphics in certain games. For example im playing wind waker and it was fine until i go to the second island with the dragon on top. looked normal until the fire/ash effects (where you have to throw the bird girl) and then it got all wonky. Changed it back to the original aspect ratio and all is well. Hope this helps

I have a question I could use a second opinion on, My PC and my TV are on opposite ends of the room, about 10 FT from eachother, my TV acts as my 2nd monitor so I could play some games on the big screen, with that in mind, would I be able to get a USB extender and plug the dolphin bar into it so I could place the bar over or under my TV across the room, or would the extender render it useless? I only ask this bc some hardware that use USBs tend to either function poorly when plugged into an extender, or outright not function at all.

Don't sell your collection, physical media is far better
one of my biggest regrets was selling my childhood collection. digital is great, dont get me wrong, but theres something satisfying about owning the games you like physically
Question. Do I need the dolphin bar to boot any Wii game? I am asking since some games allow you to play with gamecube controllers or non wii remote controllers but to open the game in the first place u have to be able to navigate through the wii main menu and u do need the bar for this. Any help?

2:30 I've never used the Compiled Shaders option in my life, the emulator is very light on your computer and can run perfectly even on a 5600 rpm hard drive and a gtx 1050ti gpu up to the point where you feel there are no shaders it is Very smooth as compared to other emulators
It doesn't hurt or affect anything for people who have graphics cards. But those using laptops or PCs with only integrated graphics will be pushing those CPUs hard and may get stutter during gameplay because of that. turning this on will eliminate that from happening.

Is it possible to connect the Wii U console itself with the computer with hdmi chord, open the game in the dolphin emulator and then just use the computer as a big screen? I connected the console and the computer, I have the dvd inserted into the console but it wont show in the files or anywhere on the computer.

bro I have a question: when I start any dolphin game it tells me that I have some setting in the control panel that automatically activates aliasing and it says I should deactivate it but I can't find this option. Any advice? because i can't find anything

does anyone know why dolphin would have funny colours in full screen? windowed mode looks great but the colours go saturated and mental in full screen. it`s something to do with hdr but even with hdr turned off it still messes up. thanks
Can I use an off brand wii remote with the dolphin sensor bar? Or does it have to be a genuine Nintendo wii remote? Also, do I need to have a remote with motion plus?
🏀Wow I did not know there was a motion bar made for pc to use on emulators. Now I have 3 of those same exact wii controller s and they did not work on the console so hopefully they work on the pc. I have an AMD Radeon(TM) R4 graphics card. Is that a low level one?🏀

How do you get the Games? Like roms for GameCube games, wii games, and Wiiware games. (First time doing this.)
This may just be the specific controller that I got, but I have a GameCube controller that plugs into a usb port. Whenever I push the control stick to the left at all (left, up left, down left) it will register being pushed up on the c stick. Playing Twilight princess and link keeps going into “look around” mode (not sure what it’s called). So anytime I’m running around and need to turn left at all, this happens. Are there any settings that can fix this, or is it just the controller?

You don't need GC and Wii stuff in the same folder, they can be in their own folders to maintain organization. You just need to add a second path for the emulator to scan, it allows multiple paths.

Is it possible to install Dolphin on a wii console? To get the wii and gc games running on ot?
you can boot into the wii menu for dolphin now. any workarounds to get wbfs files as channels as you can a hacked wiii?

Does the dolphin bar only work with real wii remotes? I have an Amazon motion plus Wii remote remote from a third party and it ain't vibrating when refreshing. Well it did once. Anyways frustrated trying to get this remote and bar to work. 😂
