Thanks a lot for this! I just did this with a Wii console bought in Australia (which is an European model anyway) and it was a success. I'll mention some minor differences from the US Wii model (for reference to owners of an European Wii model) but the process is still identical: 1. The prompt for performing a Wii system update when your connection is successful will mention Wii Support Code: 11172 instead of 11182. 2. The third option in the Internet menu under Wii System Settings 2 is called "Agreement/Contract" instead of "User Agreements".

Thanks again for the video!
For anyone else this happened to, this method kept failing for me at 6:51. It would say “Configure network: Fail”. Couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong, so just kept trying and on my 4th attempt, it worked. So don’t be disheartened if it takes a few tries. Thanks for this tutorial, man!

Worked smoothly for me thanks. My wii was version 3.4U and I was not able to update and got errors 32002 and 32007. I changed the country a couple of times. Still got errors. Finally I disabled my 5GHz band of my router because my router is dual band and I just left the 2.4 GHz band on. I also changed the wireless channel of my router to 1 to minimize any probable interference. It worked and updated successfully to 4.3U. Then I followed your video to home brew my wii and it was a breeze. Thank you so much man.

@Daniel Fioritto Sorry for replying late but You need a computer or phone with a connector to the usb, Basically You make a folder called apps on the usb and a folder called games Then you follow tutorials for Usb loader Gx and Nintendont, Yes videos will say Sd Card but ignore it You could Replace it with a usb, Then when you follow tutorials You will know how to get games and apps So put the apps in apps folder and Game iso in Games folder Btw Change every game iso and rename it to "game.iso"
@Daniel Fioritto Btw only gamecube games will work if you want Other games like Snes or nes or n64 download wads because Emulators for them dont work Only nintendont and usb loader gx work So watch TUTORIALs for usb loader gx, Nintendont and Wads and To get wads search up game wads online Dont get random but virus stufd kk
I’ve changed the DNS settings, but the most recent user agreement still loads. What did I do wrong? I noticed that the Wii adds in the. Issuing 0’s into the DNS settings, but that shouldn’t be the issue.
Genuinely thank you so much for this tutorial. I can't find an SD card of 2GB or less and my Wii has rejected every attempt to use an SD card to Homebrew it. This worked for me and I'm so excited
I tried 5 times it attempting to load boot.elf from network configuring network then it says network fail and error if comfig-24 how do I get it to work
So basicallyi modded my wii like this,Ran homebrew through my usb stick,Download n64 game wads cuz Emulators dont function cuz iam running off usb AND not sd card,So gamecube games work BUT wii game's dont how do i fix that
I'm assuming you're running the GameCube games through nintendont, which requires no custom CIOS's installed. Just making sure, have you already installed the required CIOS's required to run Wii games from a flash drive? Without them, booting the games is impossible
Thanks for the video. I get stuck right after it starts modding. The last text line I can see is "Downloading payload..." and it stays there. Have tried at least 10 times and waited very long but nothing happens.
I have a problem. When i get to the special code screen after the user agreements thing, it loads loads and loads and nothing happens or it just says a error message. What do i do?

Update. I actually was able to get this working after resetting the Wii completely and trying this twice with the first attempt failing. It was super easy to do though so took no time at all! Thanks again for the video!
One thing you don't cover: at the end, do I switch my DNS settings back? A comment one way or the other would be really helpful.
Now that the channel has been added to your Wii it does not matter if you switch your DNS setting back. (you can if you want to.)
I think it resets ur dns automatically tho but it doesn’t really matter
Yes, you can set your DNS back to the default once the channel is installed.
I did everything right but when I get to the EULA it just shows the most recent one. Help
Leone Vlogs same
For anyone else this happened to, this method kept failing for me at 6:51. It would say “Configure network: Fail”.
Couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong, so just kept trying and on my 4th attempt, it worked. So don’t be disheartened if it takes a few tries.
Thanks for this tutorial, man!
i had the same problem. removed my usb and it worked
But how do you get games and programs on the channel without a sd card and flashdrive
I mean, once you get the channel, you can't do anything with it unless you have a SD card with those game's on it
How do you do it?!?
@@Captain_Mink awwwwwwwwwwwww
Can you download games to sd card on your phone and then put it into the wii system
@@inclosetgoosebumpsfan use a flash drive and download the iso's from the internet onto the drive then put it on the channel.
@@loganfamily997 if you got a android yeah
It loads through the EULA page. That's hilarious.
Thank You. Your tutorial was fast and simple to understand.
When i open the Homebrew Channel, there is nothing there. What do I have to do? Help pleaaase
@@damian9303 the tutorial said no sd card tho
GavinLikeWh0a no sd card needed to install homebrew . You still need it for the apps on home brew.
@@zynba4251 than what's the point of installing homebrew if you can't install apps?
@@saleerix You can also use a USB to add programs
Thanks for this tutorial. Really enjoyed getting my Wii having HomeBrew
As a child I never understood this
10 hours later
Oh ok I get it now
**accidentally breaks wii**
... f
Did this hack work? Thanks
@@MissKathyE idk
I installed homebrew and my Wii did not brake btw I fell sad for you☹️🥺
Did it actually break??
@@harmony9322 it did break
when i tried to do it it all went well except when i got to the black screen part with text it just got stuck on configuring network.and then it says error if_config -116
That happened to me but with a different number. Restarted the process, and it worked
Same here -116 on my third try now
for me its shows an error were I try to do the user agreements
Check the code. If not 11182, update it. Then redo the DNS. Check to make sure the date and time is the modern.
correct worked second time no prbs
Hi Michael, brilliant tutorial, so easy, worked like a dream, explained so a 5-year old could understand. I subscribed to your channel and I'll look at the other videos you have, may thanks once again

@@DarthAzlan really? Lol
@@Nintentoad125 yes, I saw a brony youtuber make a video on it when I used to watch the show
Worked smoothly for me thanks.
I got network configuration fail when it was trying to download the files. Do I reboot the Wii?
I have the same issue. Did any one figure out a solution?
Anthony Bianco I ended up just using an SD unfortunately. Never figured it out myself
@@cris4palo ah. Yeah i think i might have to do the same thing. I tried like 3 times already, I am going to try one more time...if not well ill do the sd method. Hey thanks for the reply.
I got the solucion, i had the same problem, and what i did was check out the space the wii had, and just start erasing stuff i didnt really care about, so i guess it happens when it dosent have enough memory
You should do more of these types of videos! Very entertaining!
Thanks so much!
Worked great on an old Wii I found, quick and easy instructions... thank you sir!
4 years later and this still works. You’re the GOAT
Ok so if i mod my wii without sd card how will i play games, I NEED usb loader cuz i got a usb but i need a tutorial for usb loader without sd card
He gotcha
@@Skiedeagle Nah I figured my own way Do basically I Ran the apps through my usb Thus my usb replaced my sd card and everything is smooth like Nintendont works and all but i cant play wii games And i need help Plus my usb is fat32 so i cant get games over 4gb I need an SD card But at the same time i dont wanna buy an sdcard if the wii game does not work
@@TachyBunker I figured my own way
@Daniel Fioritto Sorry for replying late but You need a computer or phone with a connector to the usb, Basically You make a folder called apps on the usb and a folder called games Then you follow tutorials for Usb loader Gx and Nintendont, Yes videos will say Sd Card but ignore it You could Replace it with a usb, Then when you follow tutorials You will know how to get games and apps So put the apps in apps folder and Game iso in Games folder Btw Change every game iso and rename it to "game.iso"
My console freezes up at the scam screen :(
Best tutorial out of any category tutorial I’ve ever watched 👍
HAHAHA!!!!!!!! IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You absolute genius/ mad lad! Now I have to see how to load things onto the hombrew channel!
I’ve changed the DNS settings, but the most recent user agreement still loads. What did I do wrong?
I noticed that the Wii adds in the. Issuing 0’s into the DNS settings, but that shouldn’t be the issue.
Same on a classic wii
Is your version 4.3? If not, you need to update first
So I did this... but it's an empty homebrew channel. What do I do next?
Same searching for an answer
@@patrickscally3518 i have an anwser. you need to get homebrew apps
Yeah... you have to put apps there. What did you expect to find?
Genuinely thank you so much for this tutorial. I can't find an SD card of 2GB or less and my Wii has rejected every attempt to use an SD card to Homebrew it. This worked for me and I'm so excited
I tried 5 times it attempting to load boot.elf from network configuring network then it says network fail and error if comfig-24 how do I get it to work
same!!!!
Same please help
Me three, doesn't work. From Australia (pal) if that makes a difference
How do you load home brew programs without a micro SD card? (Edit) just Remembered you can load them from a flash drive.
@Pro Gaming 5 You can just put the same files you would put on the SD card onto a flash drive and it will work
What is a good website
A good website for what? Home brew loader or usb loader gx?
So basicallyi modded my wii like this,Ran homebrew through my usb stick,Download n64 game wads cuz Emulators dont function cuz iam running off usb AND not sd card,So gamecube games work BUT wii game's dont how do i fix that
I'm assuming you're running the GameCube games through nintendont, which requires no custom CIOS's installed.
Just making sure, have you already installed the required CIOS's required to run Wii games from a flash drive? Without them, booting the games is impossible
why is this guide more entertaining than any other wii homebrew tutorial
Do I need to keep it connected to that weird dns sever? Or do I switch it to normal after I get the home brew
You can switch it back to the standard settings after you install the Homebrew Channel.
@@MichaelMJD thanks i was wondering the same thing
Should I switch mine back or is leaving the DNS with those numbers gonna cause problems?
Thank you for this, works perfectly, but how do I actually get games with this method? The channel is just blank.
Did you get a thing that just says network server user agreement?
You mean hbc? Download some apps and stuff and put them in the apps folder on SD.
Thanks for the video.
I get stuck right after it starts modding. The last text line I can see is "Downloading payload..." and it stays there. Have tried at least 10 times and waited very long but nothing happens.
Same
It’s not a glitch you have to be very patient bc it took me 5 min
Same here.
I have a problem. When i get to the special code screen after the user agreements thing, it loads loads and loads and nothing happens or it just says a error message. What do i do?
I keep getting an exception dsi occurred message whenever i try to load anything from my sd
It works until I try to load the exploit, it says "ERROR: Either Contenr-Length was 0 or wasn't sent at all" how do I fix this?
don't use video guides
After the mlp page on the network loading screen it tells me fail! For configuring network and gives me an error: if_config -166. What does that mean
I get the same thing
Wow. This actually worked! Using a Wii in 2022! :)
Thanks for sharing!
when loading the agreement, it puts me back at the system menu...
