Man, Shelby could have been like Spyra. Spyra also launched a kickstarter for their first blaster, and now they're a successful company with multiple products that have revolutionized water guns.
LOL thankfully I can say this won't be the case because the first units have actually shipped out. While there has been some questionable decision making behind the scenes, it is miles ahead in terms of legitimacy.
@@beretnarf I respect this take, even if I share the sentiment of the original comment, broadly. I don't think Siren has taken money for more than the gnarl if I recall correctly, which is a *huge* mark in their favor. But I do have suspicions or questions as to if the other blasters, more specifically the blink, will ever materialize beyond those sponsored reviews samples nobody's been greenlit to show off.
That's my concern, I have a standing pre-order for the Maulr and Blink. I asked Walcom about canceling my order in his stream on July 27th. His response was that they were good blasters, but they hadn't paid him for his review yet and had basically ghosted him. With Siren not charging me until it ships, I don't mind waiting. I wish they would allow reviews of the prototype Blink to be released. The four remaining blasters that I am interested in [the Siren Maulr & Blink, Nerf Sprinter, and X-Shot Fury-X] are turning into vaporware and its very disappointing.
i pre ordered this though the indiegogo, i thought it would be a good blaster to add to my collection. i written this off as a lost, but still wish/ hope that this blaster will come one day. maybe
If you want to look at another Nerf preorder that went wrong I would check out the OMW Cybertek line. Many of us still don't have refunds and this seems like a very common problem with past OMW preorders
David Pisor... Etta Collective restaurant bankruptcy... theres a lot of information out there and it looks like more failures and waste of investor's money
All I'm going to say is their web address(s) take you to a gambling site...per an article in the Dallas observer the father is in restaurants/hospitality but according to online food reporting by Eater - Chicago, since January has been going through a lot of issues with closings, bankruptcy and the separation from the business group he was part of. I feel for him and his family but this looks to be a separate venture and a lot of people invested in it... at least make a public status update and take down your social media.
I told Walcom back then I’d take the hit. I love the idea of the blaster, but … 9/16/22 was offered a refund. So I decided to give them a chance. After which - their communication just got worse.
As a huge fan of Nerf Vortex and someone who backed the project, I legitimately want answers. Thank you for posting this!
Never trust kickstarter from nepobabies.
Beret becoming the nerf video essay youtuber wasn't what I thought I needed, but I think it was
Can't wait for Brett's 4 Hour long video essay going into the Shelby Destroyer rabbit hole.
There isn't that much to talk about. 3.5 hours will suffice.
I got my hands on it at JEBB 5/6. It was super cool, even though it basically fired communion wafers.
XD
May the power of christ propel you apparently.
H. P. Shelbcraft
this man must be stopped

"I have a plan, Brett. I just need 102 thousand USD and 285 backers. Then we'll be picking mangos in Tahiti."
And so everyone named “Shelby” breathed a collective sigh of relief…
man you are becoming like a Coffeezilla for the foam community, I love it.
possibly Nerfzilla?
Nerfeezilla
Far too much praise especially given I have yet to really back it up! But thank you.
Vortexzilla, Foaming Ideas, BNerferguy
Just send me the 3D printed prototype Shelby and we'll call it even! Oh well, at least I got a letter and stickers for Christmas one year...
Speaking of shady, OMW is still up and taking money but they aren't shipping
SIREN Blasters will be the next Shelby Destroyer lol
...What? People are already getting their hands on Siren pre-orders, and MULTIPLE reviewers have gotten pre-production models.

I cancelled my order for the Maulr, something felt off between no one being allowed to review the Blink and the first delay in shipping units.

You're not alone, definitely reach out if you're willing to share your experience!
I’m one of those backers myself and it’s wild and I want answers thank you for posting this
Feel free to reach out if you're willing to share your experiences
Backer 375 at $200. I assumed I had just slipped through the cracks. Honestly feels kind of good to know something is up and it's not just me.

Dang, will keep that in mind
Where's the money!?!?!
Probably bought a cybertruck 😂
Will there be a GT500 version😝👍🏻
nice ! get them Beret!
Ah yes, the classic rug pull.
I've never backed a crowd fund campaign, this wouldn't be the first time creators took the money and ran.
AWWWW YEEEEESSSSSS
Reminds me of the story of Michael Superbacker
Where is this destroyer? It's in a high end jewelry store locked behind bombproof glass requiring white gloves just to look at it
Hat-eezilla reporting in
I would be surprised that campaigns are scams if stuff like this hasn’t happened a million times lol.
so THATS what your insta story was about 😭
Boy,it has been in a demo ranch video but it used metal disks.
Um, no?
I may have some info that could be of value…
David Pisor... Etta Collective restaurant bankruptcy... theres a lot of information out there and it looks like more failures and waste of investor's money
Where is the Shelby Destroyer? What is the Shelby Destroyer? Why is the Shelby Destroyer?
Perhaps i´m thinking to easy, but can anyone go personally to the company in chicago and look, if they are still there?

no
Beret covering nerf controversy?
It's more likely than you think
This is why i didn't back this product.
LOL Sounds like people got scammed.
I backed it, no product. They never shipped.
I pestered them in email & on IG -
Grrr!
I can forward you my emails with them. I’m buddies with Cameron & Chaylo.
Last communication was 11/14/23
I told Walcom back then I’d take the hit. I love the idea of the blaster, but …

After which - their communication just got worse.
Any of that communication is appreciated
Bro is literally the Penguinz0 of the Nerf hobby, love the content.
Git me out if the hobby. I hate being scammed.
I pre-ordered this blaster because all the technology in it already existed in the hobby, just not in a mass produced blaster.
