Speaking as an Elite controller 2 owner I can tell you that it malfunctioned after 3 months of use, had it replaced and the next one malfunctioning after 2 months, R1 only works 50% of the time this happened on both, and the left analog was left at a constant steady turn left on the second, meanwhile both my original controllers work absolutely faultless after 4 years of abuse.

This review is quite good. It did answer most of my questions and concerns I did have about the PowerA Fusion Pro and Series 2. The elite controller I will not get because of price. You have (nearly) the same customs on the PowerA as the Series 2 while also having only the magnets (they wear) on the series controller. Also having a custom faceplate would be really cool

I play with the elite 2 on PC. Love the feel of it. I use the sticks on full tension and only use 2 of the back paddles for warzone. Havnt found any abnormal stick drift issues like a lot of people mention but i did have one of the rear paddle actuator buttons fail. I returned it within the 1yr warranty period and got a new replacement on the day plus my warranty got extended for 1 more year from the return date. Im in australia so not sure of consumer laws in other countries but i was pretty happy as it costs A$250. One nice thing i like is that as its a microsoft product the software on windows is flawless.

Using the tension kills the controller. Ive never used the tension after that each time the controller last longer than when i used the tension full

I have had an Elite series 2 for just over 2 years and have used it nearly every day since I got it. I have 0 issues with it. There's no real noticeable stick drift so far as long as I don't bring the deadzones to the absolute minimum, it works like it's brand new. The only issue I have is that my A button is a little soft and it has basically always been soft. The rest of the face buttons all have that distinguishable click when pressed down and A has always been muddy on mine but the A button is also almost always mapped to a paddle so it is more of a non-issue for me.
The amount of customization you get through the app is way more than just button mapping too. Custom sensitivity and acceleration, how much it rumbles, where you want the triggers to register, there's a lot to it and each individual profile you make gets it's own series of customization on top of the button mapping. It's 100% worth the buy but I do have to acknowledge that I seem to be in the luckier group of people who just haven't had any real problems with it. Either that or everyone else treats their controllers absolutely horrendously.

The main 2 reasons I didn't wanna leave the Fusion 2 was b/c of the share button & being able to control the volume, but i found out about the Tuttle beach audio adapter 4 headsets, that can turn a regular headset into a gaming head set. I like the elite because I can program the controller R3 and L3 to the paddles using MS software. I want to avoid putting as tension I can on the sticks . And for BDO I can transfer the space to A and shift to the paddles, works perfectly for BDO. after a year of use the side skin is pealing off , the left joystick does get stuck minor issue for me. This was such a huge upgrade from the fusion and I could not believe how good it felt. I love the weight, circular dpad and rubber grips especially. I have not had any issues with it yet and I do play regularly. I wonder how many people with elite 2 issues are man-children and have been too rough with it. In my case, and I assume I'm not the only one that ever does this, I was attempting to listen to the video while doing something else. You always referred to the controller as "this one" or a variation of that. If someone is only listening they have no idea which one "this one" is. I'm not writing this to dismantle this video or disrespect it if what I'm about to say in this comment goes against anything I'll see in the rest of this video. I just want to stop people for making the same mistake I did. For people that play Apex or other shooters with 0% Deadzone DO NOT get the Elite 2. I got it and had it replaced immediately because right out of the box there was SERIOUS stick drift even at the tightest right stick setting . I put a work order in and the replacement had the same issue so I just returned it and am waiting for the money currently. I'm not saying this to be toxic or anything, I just want to possibly save someone the month I wasted waiting for the controller and it's replacement just for both to have serious shot affecting such drift. If I can help one person not make the same mistake I did this was more than worth it. I'm not sure about the fusion P2 but the P1 I used was solid for 1¾ before the left stick started malfunctioning which is still very solid for a 40$ controller.

You gave the elite a con cause it didn't have a share button. That's because it was created and manufactured shortly after the xbox one x and BEFORE next gen consoles. They haven't updated them even yet. Other than that, solid review comparison. The victrix is a brand new competitor as well.

The Elite 2 is the best controller for gaming. From changing tension in driving/shooter games, configuring the controller feel like an Xbox 360, to making or mapping buttons for every single game and making a profile for each new play style makes every time i turn on my Xbox more exciting. The controller also feels very personalized, and with additional parts you can further customize the controller. Wide pads help with driving games, replacement short paddles are less in the way for more rapid taps. The trigger stops are good but i barely use them. Only in fast paced PVP games.
Overall if you can manage to get a working controller and treat it right, the Elite 2 will perform very well

If you want one of the best you need to try a Thrustmaster eSwap X Pro or a SCUF controller, they are SO much better and durable.

For storing the Elite 2 in its case, and the stick issues, can you just take off the thumb sticks before putting it in its case? So it has none on when stored.

The Wolverine Ultimate is designed for Keyboard/Mouse gamers. That's why a lot of console gamers are not comfortable with the back paddles. It's a different layout that's more reminiscent of a WASD grip.

I have a wolverine v2 pro. I love it...i love the clicky click of the mechanical buttons and the responsiveness is satisfying. I just wish i could macro on the paddles.

I didn't like how it felt. it was a bit bulky to me

@@julienmelnick I've got pretty large hands so it's not bad at all. The only thing I don't like about it is that it does not work with razor synapse and therefore, you cannot fully customize the buttons or record macros to it and that kind of makes it worthless for me since the whole point of a "customizable" controller was to make it work how I want it to work, not how Razer wants it to work...I'm not a pro gamer or a competitive gamer...why can't I use macros? Dumb Razr stuff.

I was thinking of getting the Elite 2 but its way to expensive. Is the Power A Fusion 2 similar to the Elite 2?

I watched your video. I did want to offer a correction. I play on the Elite Series 2, and at 7:13 you said it has a 'Share' button. If it's the button I think you're referring to, it isn't for sharing. It's to toggle between different preset configurations that you can have. Which are up to 3 preset configs that you can customize in the software. I've not encountered a share button while using my Series 2 Elite.

If you actually watched the video carefully in those minutes. He stated the elite 2 controller doesn’t have it, rather than the powera controller has a shared feature like the Xbox series s controller.
