Hubsan rushed the release of this drone, I’m all for competition, but this is a big fail by Hubsan, there’s going to be a lot of very disappointed people, I’m honestly shocked at how bad the camera quality is, my old phone from years ago takes better footage, then there is all the other issues that go with it, nice try but big fail. I’ve seen comments from others saying the footage looks great , all I can say to them is go get your eyes tested. It’s no good having bells & whistles if you can’t hear them.

The white balance is way off too Marcus. It's too blue/cold. Is there a way to adjust it in the settings? I've seen some other channels fly this drone and it seemed better that what you are experiencing. Hope you get these issues ironed out.
Just bought mine with a sg906 max beast. Having trouble grabbing satellite connections, while my sg flies with 13+ on a foggy day. Soon clear skies are predicted and 7 satellites is not enough. I have to run my android in USB debugging for the controller to work correctly as I have hovered around in manual mode to test obstacle avoidace after calibration. Hope to have fun with this drone, some do and some do not, hard to tell
Couple of others have had this issue with the USB disconnect and it turned out to be bad soldering of the USB module inside the controller. So you can either do the re-soldering yourself or hopefully you can send everything back to Hubsan to get a refund or replacement. Good Luck! Without an external SD card slot I've decided to wait for the DJI mini 3 to come out. Sill love my original Hubsan H501S and H109s High Edition with the H7000 transmitter and fly them often. The original H501S binds with the H7000 and will also do waypoints with it...who knew! Thanx for the vids!
It looks like the FPV does not appear until you have done a take off. If that is so it cannot reappear once it's lost until you have landed and taken off again (as at 23:42).

Disconnect RTH works great. But it's not good the FPV never comes back and conyroller connection only comes back sometimes. One km range in a wide open area is a joke.
It is not a signal problem, it is a controller crash. It always make it two times, after that it flies perfecty with strong signal. Hope for a firmware update soon.
Could the metal heat sink on the bottom of the drone be blocking signal during turns? If that’s the case, it could be a fatal design flaw. Only real solution would be to put antennas on the rear arms as well.
C’mon HUBSAN, sort it out!….I like to think that this drone has so much potential. Hopefully with some updates it’ll be a Mini 2 beater, as it’s not a particularly cheap drone. Love snake canyon. Top video as always.
Quite a leap of faith sending that drone out over the canyon Marcus. I'm impressed with your confidence that it was coming back. If that was me, my heart rate would have been getting up. It would be interesting to see if leaving the bitrate at 100Mbit may actually improved the video - less stress on the drone CPU perhaps.

Disconnections seems caused by controller software crash. This happened also to Italian youtubers. I hope Hubsan fix it with a firmware update. Not to worry, by update 15.01.01 it will all be set right!! 😂🤣 As you said, "Hubsan doesn't disappoint❗" but, it would be nice if they would truly surprise us sometime. It looks like you loose connection when the antennas get behind each other in the turn and then, for some reason, the USB issue pops up???? And, the white balance is a little cool and it's got a little jitter in the video. Keep those videos coming, after each update. Take care Marcus. p.s. Hello Marcus It seems you are the only one who received and reviewed this drone in the USA and the others have all of a sudden went QUIET ? Do you know why ? Also, looking at the Hubsen US website it still showing a ship date of Aug 20 BUT today is Aug 27. It’s almost as like Hubsen is hiding out and the fact all of the other American Reviewers also went silent isn’t a good thing . Any clue?
Like you said before, the Hubsan Zino is "a work in progress". Hopefully a few of these issues will be worked out with firmware and software updates over the next year or so. Doesn't look like Santa will be leaving many Hubsun Zino Pros under Christmas trees in 2021, 2022 perhaps? Not everyone is experiencing these issues. I'm wondering if anything is different. Are they using a different phone and app?
There is a new firmware for the Zino Mini Pro that fix a lot things! Specially the Jello and the problems as well. Also, it now show the temperature in the app! Note! I think the cable problem is that the iPhone requires a certificated cable or it will get disconnected from the remote. Use an Android phone or use a cable by Apple and not from a 3rd party.

Hey marcus, that open area, i do not think there is any interference unless US military has set some jammers there LOL. you should be able to go 7km 10km there easily. but losing all connectivity at 800 metes only? well your this tests shows you might have got a lemon there buddy. I have sent you an email connecting you to a responsive person in hubsan support. please do get in touch with her and i hope hubsan will sort you out. I flew 5km out in a frequency cluttered area and only got disconnected when I pointed the antennas towards the moon and turned the drone around LOL. hahahaha. man what a beautiful canyon it is. i would love to fly my electric paramotor there.

Also, I suspect the drone wasn’t as hot this time around because obstacle avoidance was turned off. Probably makes a big difference in processing power needed, and thus heat generated.
Hi Marcus, I was watching Ali's long range video, where he lost connection when turning the drone around to return home. On the outward flight he had full connection, then zero on return. I suggested possibly flying backwards. But you said the relievers are behind the front legs, very odd.

Uggh I knew it would have some out of the box issues like all the other quads that come out and I am really glad that Hubsan is putting out regular FW updates to try to fix things. I do believe it could be great once they get it sorted, if they do it fast enough. The video footage is wonderful the location is great and as always awesome video!
You have to make same test with your Google Pixel 3 just to check if with an Android phone the disconnect problem goes away. I think there is some lack of trust between Apple and Hubsan (I think I've seen Apple selling DJI products somewhere). If the disconnection was about range it should reconnect when it was closer and it didn't. About image quality there might be some processing (like electronic image stabilisation or other algorithm) that might be responsible for the micro shakes. We shell see in future firmware updates if it gets corrected. I'm still waiting for 4K HDR. I think you should make some tests with different video bit-rates higher bitrates should give better quality but will also demand more resources, CPU, battery, memory. At least to isolate the problems, I think it will be very hard to spot any diference in video quality of 100mbps H.265 and 200bps H.265, specially if currently there are other problems affecting output image quality.
Hey from the UK, zino pro flyer and happy with it. Goofy question time !!!! You take off to about 26 m height above yourself, as you fly out over the canyon the canyon floor is 100m+ below the drone but the telemetry remains the same 26m height. Would the telemetry show negative height if you flew it downwards into the canyon
Hubsen just pushed the delivery date of the Zino Mini SE back to 9/30/21 . It originally stated delivery date of 8/30/21. Musical Chairs with delivery dates -“ here we go again’ The Hubsen US site still shows a delivery date of the Zino Mini Pro as 8/20/21. It’s already 8/27/21 and they haven’t even changed the date . All I’ll say is WOW . Come on Hubsen, at least make your web site current or hire someone that can. It’s embarrassing that you allow a delivery date appear that is 7 days older. Can you imagine a new customer coming along and first impressions? Shame on You

I feel like there's a chance that they're going to move the date back a bit more. good ol' Hubsan! about the drone itself, I expect them to do at least better than the mini pro, in terms of reliability and software. other drone companies have made successful drones with successful software on this type of drone setup (e.g. fimi x8 mini, bugs 19 mini, dji mini drones, etc) Imagine if they fail this drone as well

Those disconnections issues are unusable, that unit should have shipped out from the factory. I was looking at the color on your B-Roll camera compared to the Zino Mini's, I think the blue tint is while balance issue on the MIni. Look at how warmer your Hero 9 footage was. They should able to correct this color shift in a firmware update. Great test flight, considering all you had put up with. At least we know the RTH works pretty well. Those Hubsan software programmers need to get back to the drawing board.
Boy you have bad luck with your drones lately it seems, except the dji drones. It could be your phone n wifi etc., as another said. Interesting it disconnects when you turn around. Might have to come back backwards. I watched Alishanmao and he flew in signal congestion and went out 5 km and had great luck and on other flights as well. So it may be a hit n miss. Glad you're testing this as it confirms my choice for dji though I had hoped it might be a good alternative.
Oh boy, I'm sorry for your bad experience with this drone. I can perfectly understand your frustration. Looks like it promissed too much to be true. We have a saying in Spanish "quien mucho abarca poco aprieta", that would be "who wants too much catches nothing". Anyway, I still have hopes. (Haven't seen your video yet, I'll do in detail tonight)
Nice video, was considering this to bring mountainbiking for mainly photos and thoughts of active track but looks like the mini2 is a better option and i forget about tracking.

I initially began watching for this drone the day it was announced back in April for a possible purchase. I continue watching now for pure entertainment purposes.New episodes , less character development and tons of twists and turns. I’m almost tempted to steam the videos onto my TV and binge watch them.
I'm glad I cancelled my order for this drone. Like most Hubsan drones it's full of bugs on its release. Give it 6 months to a year and the plus version will appear and the bugs worked out.

Hello Marcus, but that disconnection problem has not been seen in the other channels, it will be a faulty unit, I have seen distance tests, giving 4.5 KM in the city and it has not had disconnection. And the video I really liked the quality, to be in automatic it is very acceptable. Greetings from Colombia. Odd that you had connection issues! I've seen other non-US flights in City environments out to 4 clicks and 8 clicks and zero connection drops. Kind of a bummer to see this. With all that open space and zero other interference, it shouldn't have been a problem. I was noticing all the trust issues on the phone. Do you see that with other drone apps? Hopefully not a phone or cable issue. I still would like to start with one of these because I do NOT like sideloading apks so I'm still not on the DJI bandwagon.
Never get tired of seeing you fly at the Snake River Canyon. It's an awesome place to fly. The only canyon that would be better is the Grand Canyon which as we all know is off limits :(
When I was at the Grand Canyon a few months ago, they had No Drone Zone signs at some of the most popular viewpoints. I commented to a Ranger that the signs seemed odd, since I thought the entire park was a no drone zone. He said that it was, and the signs were just to remind people. He said that even with the law and the signs he still saw a few drones every month. And then said that he was a drone enthusiast and it killed him that he couldn't fly his drone there.
Marcus my friend send it back its no good I'm so pleased you do these reviews because your going to save a lot of people a lot of money because despite its features its not doing what it's promised I think stick with the mini 2 and if there is a mini 3 wait for that because they are solid and if there was problems you know they would sort it out. Well marcus your vido has has definitely changed my mind on this so for the second time since the 10th of may till today i have cancelled my order and got a full refund. Really had high hopes for the zino. But I definitely wont be ordering again. Between the messing about and all the problems with trying to get it I think I have had a lucky escape. I will stick to DJI from now on.thanks and I hope it comes alright for you.

I'm sorry, it's not DJI and it'll probably never be. I'm doing a little troubleshooting with the C-Fly Faith 2 and their engineers. Also Faith 2 will never be like a DJI drone, but to make it better is a challenge. I also offered services to Fimi and Hubsan. I only heard back from Fimi.
Hubsan your drone is everything I expected it to be :) On that first return it never lifted upto height from 26meters, Was that how you set it? Or a fault in programming
Ugh, about what I was expecting. Even worse than the Fimi X8 Mini imo. My X8 Mini is great though, I got lucky. Such a stunning place to fly. Too bad the drone is a dud. DJI has nothing to worry about. Really hoping Autel has a sub 250g drone in the works.
Hey Marcus just watched a video of an ltalian (I think) guy flying the Drone with subtiles. He shows that when the app disconnects you still have full control over the Drone. So if you have line of sight and it's disconnected you can cancel return to home and fly it with full control. He also has a heat probe pointing at the underside and the Battery.. Man your talking 76 degrees C and the battery 65C this cannot be good for both the electrics and the battery.. It was when he was hovering for a good spell like in your video.. It gave a thermal warning and shut features down.. I don't think any update whatsoever can fix this potentially fatal problem apart from a Heatsink fan which will be totally counter productive as it would definately push it over the 250 grams.. Maybe this is why dji scrapped front avoidance sensors on the mini 2 as they probably could not solve the heat issue and a heat sink fan was the only practical way to get it to work but pushed it over the 250g.. But another great video. Hope to see more soon as you seem to be the only US reviewer that is putting unbias reviews out.. Thanks again 😁🙏
Thank you @Drone City! I've had both kind of disconnect. Sometimes it just my mobile device, other times the R/C to the drone, and worse, many times both. 🤷♂️
For sure this drone has a better image definition than the Air 2S, too bad it has Jello and Moiré Effects, Now, with the camera, MUST use manual mode to adjust Shuttle Angle/Speed two times the frame rate in witch is 60 to avoid bad motion capture and adjust the light it captures, remember this has a HUGE sensor, more lights comes in.(Flying this drone without adjusting the camera settings is like driving a Ferrari in 1rst gear only). Hubsan still need to do a firmware to eliminate the Jello/rolling shutter and reduce the moiré effects. This drone does beat top of the line DJI drones in video definition. But Hubsan does need to fix some major those problems. Remember that Definition is more important than resolution. The Heat Problem is a HUGE concern about this drone. I would not fly it at all! Return it to Hubsan ASAP before is too late.
There is no fix for the heat problem if you want to run the Drone at its maximum resolution and frame rate with all the safety features active other than retro fit a Heatsink fan which will definitely put it over the whole point of this Drone... 250 grams... Game over Hubsan
@@dronecity1699 They may be able to fix that. Remember that ALL heat problems are related to CPU trying to handle data flow and compressions. If they are smart they can fix this or I don’t think this drone is not safe to fly at all. In fact I think it is dangerous. Another problem I see is air-flow. I would not buy this drone for two major flaws: Air Flow and Quality Control out of the door.

I know dji tried to put forward facing obstacle avoidance in the mini 2 but shelved the idea because they came across the same problems of heat disapation that's why the mini 2 is now only 238 grams. They would have needed a Fan to cool the processor and taken it above 250 grams and be honest if Dji failed to work around the problem with their tech department and resources, what chance do Hubsan have?
@@dronecity1699 They did not have a prototype drone. Hubsan got the money and pay engineers to produce the drone fast. That’s why heat cage is after thought and many features not even there yet. My biggest concern the air-flow. It could fry the main board and drop from the sky and even catch 🔥. Amazing drone and I hope they fix all the main problems that could end up in disaster. When I program drones they can get real 🥵 hot. And with sensors it will be a challenge for Habson. They may pull this off. Remember that there is no one in charge at Hubsan and this is up to the brave engineers.

Between Fimi & Hubsan, I think DJI won't be losing a lot of sleep just yet. Who's next to take a shot at the target on DJI's back... Autel? There's rumors, but that's all there is, to date!
I honestly hope these issues are sorted out. It shouldn't have lost signal there...unless there is some secret Area 51 underground wifi antenna🙄. I'm still rooting for this drone to turn out great.

They are able to send a drone that is not finished and that does not represent anything of what it promised, nothing. Not a drone I’m going to purchase. Too many issues with reliability. Sad because I had high hopes. It is not priced as an entry level drone so I have little desire to deal with the aggravation. Hubsan’s pricing is going to make it easy for DJI to steam roller them when they release their next mini drone.
Each firmware makes mine worse. Now no flight modes work. Items in the app are overlapping or cutoff....it had been that way from the start...but in fairness ALOT of games are not displaying right either. I'm asking for a refund but I doubt I get it.....AND my Spektrum transmitter died so now I have nothing to fly. I want refund to get my planes and helis back up.....given up on the camera drones altogether.

I feel your frustration to this drone Marcus, although it was entertaining to watch your reactions to it. The white balance seemed way off compared to your GoPro. If I was a newbie to drones this thing would put me off the hobby! My original Mavic Mini flys better than this and I think the video looks better too.
It would be interesting to see if it was the white balance, or just an inherent color shift. My Fimi X8 SE 2020 had an inherent blue shift that I had to correct in post every time. This drone might have something similar.

Yes, FPV is not available until the drone takes off. I'm sure this is related to heat soak in the drone.

Could the metal heat sink on the bottom of the drone be blocking signal during turns? If that’s the case, it could be a fatal design flaw. Only real solution would be to put antennas on the rear arms as well.

C’mon HUBSAN, sort it out!….I like to think that this drone has so much potential. Hopefully with some updates it’ll be a Mini 2 beater, as it’s not a particularly cheap drone. Love snake canyon. Top video as always.

Quite a leap of faith sending that drone out over the canyon Marcus. I'm impressed with your confidence that it was coming back. If that was me, my heart rate would have been getting up. It would be interesting to see if leaving the bitrate at 100Mbit may actually improved the video - less stress on the drone CPU perhaps.

Disconnections seems caused by controller software crash. This happened also to Italian youtubers. I hope Hubsan fix it with a firmware update. Not to worry, by update 15.01.01 it will all be set right!! 😂🤣 As you said, "Hubsan doesn't disappoint❗" but, it would be nice if they would truly surprise us sometime. It looks like you loose connection when the antennas get behind each other in the turn and then, for some reason, the USB issue pops up???? And, the white balance is a little cool and it's got a little jitter in the video. Keep those videos coming, after each update. Take care Marcus.

It seems you are the only one who received and reviewed this drone in the USA and the others have all of a sudden went QUIET ?
Do you know why ? Also, looking at the Hubsen US website it still showing a ship date of Aug 20 BUT today is Aug 27.
It’s almost as like Hubsen is hiding out and the fact all of the other American Reviewers also went silent isn’t a good thing .

Like you said before, the Hubsan Zino is "a work in progress". Hopefully a few of these issues will be worked out with firmware and software updates over the next year or so.

There is no firmware update that can cure the heat issue other than a Heatsink fan.. Then goodbye 250 grams which is the whole point of these drones

There is a new firmware for the Zino Mini Pro that fix a lot things! Specially the Jello and the problems as well. Also, it now show the temperature in the app! Note! I think the cable problem is that the iPhone requires a certificated cable or it will get disconnected from the remote. Use an Android phone or use a cable by Apple and not from a 3rd party.
I tried my Google Pixel 3 and had similar disconnects. 🤷♂️

Hey marcus, that open area, i do not think there is any interference unless US military has set some jammers there LOL. you should be able to go 7km 10km there easily. but losing all connectivity at 800 metes only? well your this tests shows you might have got a lemon there buddy. I have sent you an email connecting you to a responsive person in hubsan support. please do get in touch with her and i hope hubsan will sort you out. I flew 5km out in a frequency cluttered area and only got disconnected when I pointed the antennas towards the moon and turned the drone around LOL. hahahaha. man what a beautiful canyon it is. i would love to fly my electric paramotor there.

Also, I suspect the drone wasn’t as hot this time around because obstacle avoidance was turned off. Probably makes a big difference in processing power needed, and thus heat generated.

Hi Marcus, I was watching Ali's long range video, where he lost connection when turning the drone around to return home. On the outward flight he had full connection, then zero on return. I suggested possibly flying backwards. But you said the relievers are behind the front legs, very odd.

Uggh I knew it would have some out of the box issues like all the other quads that come out and I am really glad that Hubsan is putting out regular FW updates to try to fix things. I do believe it could be great once they get it sorted, if they do it fast enough. The video footage is wonderful the location is great and as always awesome video!

You have to make same test with your Google Pixel 3 just to check if with an Android phone the disconnect problem goes away. I think there is some lack of trust between Apple and Hubsan (I think I've seen Apple selling DJI products somewhere). If the disconnection was about range it should reconnect when it was closer and it didn't. About image quality there might be some processing (like electronic image stabilisation or other algorithm) that might be responsible for the micro shakes. We shell see in future firmware updates if it gets corrected. I'm still waiting for 4K HDR. I think you should make some tests with different video bit-rates higher bitrates should give better quality but will also demand more resources, CPU, battery, memory. At least to isolate the problems, I think it will be very hard to spot any diference in video quality of 100mbps H.265 and 200bps H.265, specially if currently there are other problems affecting output image quality.

Hey from the UK, zino pro flyer and happy with it. Goofy question time !!!! You take off to about 26 m height above yourself, as you fly out over the canyon the canyon floor is 100m+ below the drone but the telemetry remains the same 26m height. Would the telemetry show negative height if you flew it downwards into the canyon
Hello Tony, yes, the telemetry would go into negative numbers if I flew below the rim of the canyon.
Usually I have 3 disconnections and than no problem. Very strange thing.

Hubsen just pushed the delivery date of the Zino Mini SE back to 9/30/21 . It originally stated delivery date of 8/30/21.

The Hubsen US site still shows a delivery date of the Zino Mini Pro as 8/20/21. It’s already 8/27/21 and they haven’t even changed the date . All I’ll say is WOW . Can you imagine a new customer coming along and first impressions? Shame on You

about the drone itself, I expect them to do at least better than the mini pro, in terms of reliability and software. other drone companies have made successful drones with successful software on this type of drone setup (e.g. fimi x8 mini, bugs 19 mini, dji mini drones, etc)

Those disconnections issues are unusable, that unit should have shipped out from the factory. I was looking at the color on your B-Roll camera compared to the Zino Mini's, I think the blue tint is while balance issue on the MIni. Look at how warmer your Hero 9 footage was. They should able to correct this color shift in a firmware update. Great test flight, considering all you had put up with. At least we know the RTH works pretty well. Those Hubsan software programmers need to get back to the drawing board.

Boy you have bad luck with your drones lately it seems, except the dji drones. It could be your phone n wifi etc., as another said. Interesting it disconnects when you turn around. Might have to come back backwards. I watched Alishanmao and he flew in signal congestion and went out 5 km and had great luck and on other flights as well. So it may be a hit n miss. Glad you're testing this as it confirms my choice for dji though I had hoped it might be a good alternative.

Oh boy, I'm sorry for your bad experience with this drone. I can perfectly understand your frustration. Looks like it promissed too much to be true. We have a saying in Spanish "quien mucho abarca poco aprieta", that would be "who wants too much catches nothing". Anyway, I still have hopes. (Haven't seen your video yet, I'll do in detail tonight)

Nice video, was considering this to bring mountainbiking for mainly photos and thoughts of active track but looks like the mini2 is a better option and i forget about tracking.
The DJI Air 2S is another consideration for what you want to do. It has great obstacle avoidance, and tracking!

I'm glad I cancelled my order for this drone. Like most Hubsan drones it's full of bugs on its release. Give it 6 months to a year and the plus version will appear and the bugs worked out.

Hello Marcus, but that disconnection problem has not been seen in the other channels, it will be a faulty unit, I have seen distance tests, giving 4.5 KM in the city and it has not had disconnection. And the video I really liked the quality, to be in automatic it is very acceptable. Greetings from Colombia.

Odd that you had connection issues! I've seen other non-US flights in City environments out to 4 clicks and 8 clicks and zero connection drops. Kind of a bummer to see this. With all that open space and zero other interference, it shouldn't have been a problem. I was noticing all the trust issues on the phone. Do you see that with other drone apps? Hopefully not a phone or cable issue. I still would like to start with one of these because I do NOT like sideloading apks so I'm still not on the DJI bandwagon.

Yes, both Fimi and Hubsan drones connect to IOS in a way that requires you to okay the connection. I don't see that with other brands. 🤷♂️
Never get tired of seeing you fly at the Snake River Canyon. It's an awesome place to fly. The only canyon that would be better is the Grand Canyon which as we all know is off limits :(

When I was at the Grand Canyon a few months ago, they had No Drone Zone signs at some of the most popular viewpoints. I commented to a Ranger that the signs seemed odd, since I thought the entire park was a no drone zone. He said that it was, and the signs were just to remind people. He said that even with the law and the signs he still saw a few drones every month. And then said that he was a drone enthusiast and it killed him that he couldn't fly his drone there.

Well marcus your vido has has definitely changed my mind on this so for the second time since the 10th of may till today i have cancelled my order and got a full refund. Really had high hopes for the zino. But I definitely wont be ordering again. Between the messing about and all the problems with trying to get it I think I have had a lucky escape. I'm sorry, it's not DJI and it'll probably never be. I'm doing a little troubleshooting with the C-Fly Faith 2 and their engineers. Also Faith 2 will never be like a DJI drone, but to make it better is a challenge. I also offered services to Fimi and Hubsan. I only heard back from Fimi.

Ugh, about what I was expecting. Even worse than the Fimi X8 Mini imo. My X8 Mini is great though, I got lucky. Such a stunning place to fly. Too bad the drone is a dud. DJI has nothing to worry about. Really hoping Autel has a sub 250g drone in the works.

Hey Marcus just watched a video of an ltalian (I think) guy flying the Drone with subtiles. He shows that when the app disconnects you still have full control over the Drone. So if you have line of sight and it's disconnected you can cancel return to home and fly it with full control. He also has a heat probe pointing at the underside and the Battery.. Man your talking 76 degrees C and the battery 65C this cannot be good for both the electrics and the battery.. It was when he was hovering for a good spell like in your video.. It gave a thermal warning and shut features down.. I don't think any update whatsoever can fix this potentially fatal problem apart from a Heatsink fan which will be totally counter productive as it would definately push it over the 250 grams.. Maybe this is why dji scrapped front avoidance sensors on the mini 2 as they probably could not solve the heat issue and a heat sink fan was the only practical way to get it to work but pushed it over the 250g.. But another great video. Hope to see more soon as you seem to be the only US reviewer that is putting unbias reviews out.. Thanks again 😁🙏

For sure this drone has a better image definition than the Air 2S, too bad it has Jello and Moiré Effects, Now, with the camera, MUST use manual mode to adjust Shuttle Angle/Speed two times the frame rate in witch is 60 to avoid bad motion capture and adjust the light it captures, remember this has a HUGE sensor, more lights comes in.(Flying this drone without adjusting the camera settings is like driving a Ferrari in 1rst gear only). Hubsan still need to do a firmware to eliminate the Jello/rolling shutter and reduce the moiré effects. This drone does beat top of the line DJI drones in video definition. But Hubsan does need to fix some major those problems. Remember that Definition is more important than resolution. The Heat Problem is a HUGE concern about this drone. I would not fly it at all! Return it to Hubsan ASAP before is too late.
There is no fix for the heat problem if you want to run the Drone at its maximum resolution and frame rate with all the safety features active other than retro fit a Heatsink fan which will definitely put it over the whole point of this Drone... 250 grams... Game over Hubsan
@@dronecity1699 They may be able to fix that. Remember that ALL heat problems are related to CPU trying to handle data flow and compressions. If they are smart they can fix this or I don’t think this drone is not safe to fly at all. In fact I think it is dangerous. Another problem I see is air-flow. I would not buy this drone for two major flaws: Air Flow and Quality Control out of the door.

I know dji tried to put forward facing obstacle avoidance in the mini 2 but shelved the idea because they came across the same problems of heat disapation that's why the mini 2 is now only 238 grams. They would have needed a Fan to cool the processor and taken it above 250 grams and be honest if Dji failed to work around the problem with their tech department and resources, what chance do Hubsan have?
@@dronecity1699 They did not have a prototype drone. Hubsan got the money and pay engineers to produce the drone fast. That’s why heat cage is after thought and many features not even there yet. My biggest concern the air-flow. It could fry the main board and drop from the sky and even catch 🔥. Amazing drone and I hope they fix all the main problems that could end up in disaster. When I program drones they can get real 🥵 hot. And with sensors it will be a challenge for Habson. They may pull this off. Remember that there is no one in charge at Hubsan and this is up to the brave engineers.

The colors in that video has sure got a blueish tint to it. I wonder if this is just a white-balance adjustment?

And this is the drone that was going to make DJI tremble? This is called KARMA by everyone Hubsan has scammed, including myself. They are able to send a drone that is not finished and that does not represent anything of what it promised, nothing. I'm not happy at all that you lost your money Marcus, I also lost mine with them, but believe me they decided to lose something worse, credibility and trust. There were scammers

Not a drone I’m going to purchase. Too many issues with reliability. Sad because I had high hopes. It is not priced as an entry level drone so I have little desire to deal with the aggravation. Hubsan’s pricing is going to make it easy for DJI to steam roller them when they release their next mini drone.

Each firmware makes mine worse. Now no flight modes work. Items in the app are overlapping or cutoff....it had been that way from the start...but in fairness ALOT of games are not displaying right either. I'm asking for a refund but I doubt I get it.....AND my Spektrum transmitter died so now I have nothing to fly. I want refund to get my planes and helis back up.....given up on the camera drones altogether.
So after watching this video thru.....there's a whole bunch of stuff cut off on my phone and can't see it all

I feel your frustration to this drone Marcus, although it was entertaining to watch your reactions to it. The white balance seemed way off compared to your GoPro. If I was a newbie to drones this thing would put me off the hobby! My original Mavic Mini flys better than this and I think the video looks better too.

It would be interesting to see if it was the white balance, or just an inherent color shift. My Fimi X8 SE 2020 had an inherent blue shift that I had to correct in post every time. This drone might have something similar.
Pretty disappointing flight. Too many disconnects. Video looks too blue, probably needs adjusting I am guessing?
