Lots of jello in the ZMP video. Colors seems to be a bit darker/richer in the Z2P. I like how ZMP handles. If Hubsan can fix the jello, and fine tune the colors in the ZMP, I may be a buyer. Love the battery life too on the ZMP. Great day for flying at Lucky Peak. Thank you for taking the time to make the video, and doing the comparison.
I definitely prefer the Zino 2 Plus, there's a lot of gimbal shake in the Zino Mini. Great video, Marcus, I'm jealous of the places you get to fly in 👍
I want you to know that that reservoir area is the most beautiful country I've seen in a long time! Thank you for doing all your videos I watch them all! Happy Thanksgiving! Your friend in Christ, Carl Covey.
I really hope there’s a future for HUBSAN, the video quality on the Mini was pretty good. The latest update seems to have worked for you. Such an amazing place to fly drones, was interesting to see how low the water level was compared to previous videos.
Great comparison of the two Zino's. The Zino Mini seems more stable in the air, but I liked the video better from the Zino 2. And at least I got to see the beautiful views of the Canyon, that's worth the price of admission.

Hi Marcus, I really enjoy your videos in the treasure valley area. I can relate to all of the areas that you fly in. You have probably already figured it out, but earlier in the video you ask if there was any way to turn off the RTH Beeping. On my EXO Blackhawk 2 Pro which basically uses the Hubsan controller, you just have to use a long press (1.5 sec) on the function button to cycle the beeping on and off. I haven't used it yet but it is in my users manual under Custom Keys on Page 8. I saw this demonstrated in a review of the Blackhawk 2 Pro. I love my Blackhawk 2 Pro and am getting a lot more confident with it. Thanks again for your wonderful videos. I will be looking forward to the next ones.😁😁
I will still wait until hubsan have got everything right on this mini pro but I must say that video quality looks great on the big tv and it does help with that great scenery nice one Marcus look forward for some more videos of that mini drone from yourself 😁👍🇬🇧
Marcus you know I’m a fan and I love ya, but just an observation. SOMETIMES you avoid people other times you actually zoom in on them. Just from a perspective, I would always err on the side of caution. The rule is you keep moving, it’s alright to fly over people but not supposed to stop and hover or zoom in, take pics or vid etc. I love you and your channel, again I hope you don’t take this wrong. I’m just trying to give food for thought. Would hate to see you get zapped for something stupid like that. Have an awesome day!!
Nice comparison Marcus. If you want to try an experiment sometime, on the mini try a bitrate of 150 to see if you can see any difference in quality and if it reduces video issues.
Hi Marcus, the latest app update tells me the drone will do optimized precision landing. So maybe you would try the Zino Mini Pro again. You can see the techs are working on it. Mine still is in the making, I guess. My Hubsan contact told me it would be send in the middle of September or near the end of this month. Zino 2 plus has a mighty sound. WOW! I really like your videos. It's the best there is on TV in Spain at the moment. I envy your scenery, Marcus.
I have the zino 2 and zino 2 + ..They are selling at a really low price in the uk...looking at purchasing the mini pro as well due to the 249g weight..so thank you for the video..
@IdahoQuadcopter and that is the dilemma...a basic dji mini se with 1 battery is the same price as zmp with an extra battery and multi charger..kit also includes carry case
Honestly at the moment I'm just worried about the jello/micro shakes because I'm not sure if it can be solved with a firmware update.. but the vibrations are getting to the camera and I'm no expert in gimbals, I hope there is something that can be changed on gimbal software, but I think it has more to do with resonance frequency of gimbal weight and rubber dampers stiffness and electronic response time of gimbal and propeller size (that affects motor RPM)... maybe adding weight to gimbal can solve it like an ND filter... maybe changing propeller size, or change the dampers? Other than this we just need the 4K HDR that hubsan is preparing for a future update to improve overall image quality.
Very informative review. After viewing this video I was set to buy the Zino 2 Plus and then I read the reviews. There seems to be three issues that cause major problems amongst the users. First is the firmware update problems such as forced updating, long and tedious process, and frequent update failure. Next is the unexpected battery issues such rapid discharge. The last is of major concern to me, loss of connection either FPV or control. Your reviews are very interesting and through but I find it hard to square them with the feedback on Google Apps or Amazon reviews. About 25% of the raters have very critical comments, are these folks not paying attention to the instructions or are they so inept that the complexity of these devices outstrips their skill set? You must have some opinion on this subject and would be most interested in hearing it. If I were a manufacturer of this product I would be all over this issue.
Thank you Jim! My Zino 2 plus is quite good. Of the issues you mention, I've only experienced the FPV disconnection. I began using an aftermarket OTG cable, and have not had a problem since then.
Thanks for the comparison Marcus. You mentioned that the FPV back to the phone was good, can you let us know how it turns out the video that was stored on board the Mini? Does the stored image show any jello that can show up on the FPV image, or is it free of jello or other imperfections transmitted back to the phone ?
Thank you Chris! I think the drone got confused when I switched back to 30 FPS. It then defaulted to 1080P. I wish that I had caught that out in the field. 👍
Plenty of jello still there. Did you apply the latest update to the drone? As you know, you have to do that separately, connecting the drone directly to the phone. Hope you can generate some 4k30 footage from the Zino 2+ to give a better comparison of the two cameras.
Hallo from Greece my brother Marcus 👌 i m lost very busy dj and wadding video ) ) nice one great test and comparison video my friend excellent information and presentation. !!!
It's good to see the Mini continue to improve. But still, even though it recorded at 1080, the Zino 2 Plus video looked better in most regards. (Great for me since I own the 2 Plus but not the Mini). I'll keep following the progress and maybe reconsider the Mini next year.
Enjoyed the comparison, which of the two drones gave the most accurate representation of the terrain please? I see quite a marked difference in the colours on the two video clips just like to know which is the closest to reality, I assume you have not applied any post processing.
Hi I have only had my zino 2 plus for about 6 weeks have not updated the drone or controller And it is solid in hover its amazing how good it is I wait until I have 14 or 15 satalights and it's amazing
Very interested in the Zino Mini but the common complaints of the video quality (washed out and flat colours and lighting) and the jello / shakes is making me very hesitant. Is this something that can be fixed with firmware updates or is it a hardware problem do you think?
Great video. Love the location, only snake river canyon beats it. The water level is so low. Preferred the Zino 2 plus video by a fair way. The mini is not terrible just underwhelming. Maybe a DJI mini 2 versus the hubsan mini at the same location…
hey marcus, can u give me a link to a good cable for the zino mini pro.im having those disconnect issues with mine that you are having, not good on hubsan,im having a few issues with mine, youll see once i record the video.im gonna be honest about this drone in my review and its sad because the drone has really good potential
I bought my cable a long time ago, and no longer have the link. I remember buying it on Amazon. I suspect that if you select a good quality OTG cable it should work great. I look forward to your review.
The Hubsan Zino Mini Pro image is way better than Hunban Zino 2 Plus. It is like night and day in term of details. The huge problem Hubsan needs to address is the Jello. I did see in some videos that the Jello is almost gone with the new updates. If you look at the image details on this video, you can see clearly that the image definition of Hubsan Zino 2 Plus is like a low resolution of a 720p up-converted. And the 4K Zino Mini Pro is an up-converted 1080p to 4k with more details.
@@IdahoQuadcopter Remember that the Zino Mini Pro has a fix Aperture of 2.8. Meaning that you must use ND Filter so the Shuttle Speed is 60. Never record any videos with a Shuttle Speed over 60 with the Zino Mini Pro or DJI drones when is 30fps. Just like film we use the Shuttle Angle 180 to avoid problems with the playback. Filming any videos you must follow the rules of 180 degree. If Hubsan fix the Jello and ND filters are made for this drone, it could be an amazing drone to have.

@@IdahoQuadcopter Well thanks for your reply but too late I just place this morning an order for zino mini (jajaja). Thanks again and when dji drops the mini 3 I hope I can buy it too. 👍🏻
Are you joking.. The footage was awful.. Or was I watching a different video 😂😂😂 I've got to say it is the best effort Hubsan have attempted but I'm sorry my friend at this moment in time it's definitely little league. I more than anyone want serious competition to DJI but not by misinformation 👍👍👍
Well we all have our own opinions and I guess it depends on what you’re watching it on, I have both air 2 and 2’s and I feel their over rated for the money you pay, yes the 1” sensor is useful for low light or long exposures. I went down the FIMI route a few years ago, now that quality is dreadful. I’ll stick with my original statement and maybe Marcus might do a comparison. Thanks for your reply though.
@@colvillebri196 please don't think I was being disrespectful with my comment.. I was watching on a 4k screen and there was quite a bit of jello and color shift.. I've seen that on many reviews.. If reviewers stop bitching and help the company with feedback then maybe that would help. But it doesn't help when Hubsan in a recent video on a channel I'll not say have directly through a Hubsan technicians guidance sanctioned the content provider to instruct customers to take apart and remove internal hardware of brand new drones to fix gimbal problems.. I'm sorry this is about as poor as it gets from a company.. Deflecting all responsibility and more than likely null and voiding the warranty in one foul scoop
You’re fine I took no offence by your comments as I said we’re all allowed an opinion. I just thought it looked good that’s all but my guide dog (seeing dog) kept barking to tell me otherwise 🤣 sorry I’m British with British humour
The Zino has a long way to go before it's even close to a DJI drone. I have been uploading my flight logs to Hubsan, so they can continue to improve the drone.
Very good! The zeno2 plus is better, at least right now. I am curious what the DJI mini 3 will have, probably next year, and the Autel mini that they are rumored to have coming out! I want a great little mini but I would really like some obstacle avoidance on it. Will Skydio come out with their own mini? I think for a really quality drone one will have to stick with DJI, Autel, or Skydio. I am really afraid of the other brands. Thanks Marcus. Tom
@@IdahoQuadcopter , and I will expect a thorough test on both of them from you! Lol! Somehow I am thinking we will be much more impressed with the DJI Mini 3 and the Autel mini! How about you?
Hi Marcus. I'm just curious, did you have your Hubsan Zino Mini Pro replaced? It seems like all the disconnection/signal loss issues were gone when you did this test.
This is the same drone. It has been updated via firmware, but other than that, it's the same drone. They did say that they will send me another one though.
Hi Marcus I have watched your previous videos on the Hubsan Mini Pro.. I have followed you for 6 months now and admire your honesty in all your videos. I recent video has come to light and I won't mention the Chanel, that a Hubsan Engineer has sent instructions to the chanel owner and sanctioned customers removing gimbals on brand new drones if they have a gimbal fault and even to the extent of removing internal parts from within. I see now that you are going to honestly and unbaisly work along with Hubsan to try and fix ongoing problems by sending data reports and flight records and I commend you for reaching out.. But my question is can you in any way shape or form remember Any drone company advocating customers HARD Fix (Take apart) a brand new Drone? You have a Mini Pro.. I don't.. Is there a small label over one of the screw holes saying void if removed? Sorry for the long winded text but if this is Genuinely what Hubsan are stooping too then I'm sorry that is absolutely abhorrent and unforgivable.. Thank you as always for your brilliant content. stay safe 👍🙏
I agree, I'm no drone repairman, and don't want to be. 😀 I do believe that Mansoor (AliShanMao) was just trying to help by posting that video. It's also good to know that if you crashed and broke your gimbal, it is relatively easy to replace. 👍🙂
Ya the Zino 2 plus has better video more natural i think ,im sure the Zino Mini will get better but they got to fix that zoom , on the side note are you geting another Zino Mini from Hubsan and if so do you need to return the one you have
Thank you Rick! Yes, the Zino 2 Plus is my choice as well. Hubsan tells me that they do not have another drone available at this time, and they asked me to continue to update and fly the one that I have.
Thank you so much Bob! I learned metric flying drones, as most of them default to metric. I have come to appreciate the simplicity and logic of the metric system.

Hola Marcus, saludos como ya sabes desde Colombia, siempre atento a tus videos. Puede hacer un acompañamiento entre el Zino Mini Pro y el DJI Mini 2? Gracias amigo.
I have entertainment for tonight, though I'd be mostly interested in an extreme range test for the Hubsan Zino Mini Pro (given its advertised 40 min battery life). But knowing that you are a "conservative" person in this regard, I suspect I'll have to wait for Dustin Dunnill or The Curious Nomad for this (no disrespect intended Marcus, just a lighthearted thought) :) :)
The mini pro flies good, has food range, and battery life, but the hello, looks like something from a old parrot bebop, to me this defeats the purpose. If the footage is not right there is no need for me to fly they need to fix this asap, before anything else or any other bugs.

Tom
Hey ya Tom. I expect that we'll see a Mini 3 before Christmas, and perhaps a mini drone from Autel. 👍
@@IdahoQuadcopter , and I will expect a thorough test on both of them from you! Lol! Somehow I am thinking we will be much more impressed with the DJI Mini 3 and the Autel mini! How about you?
When the zino mini pro camera is flying far away, there will be some jello phenomenon . Is it related to the lightness of the body?
I've noticed that jello too. I can say that my DJI Mini is a light drone, and does not have that problem.
The zino 2 has an exposure control, An exposure control for the mini would solve the major problem with I see with the camera!
Thank you! Yes, I was flying in full auto.
Hi Marcus. I'm just curious, did you have your Hubsan Zino Mini Pro replaced? It seems like all the disconnection/signal loss issues were gone when you did this test.
This is the same drone. It has been updated via firmware, but other than that, it's the same drone. They did say that they will send me another one though.
just wondering if u can do range test maybe thanks!
I usually leave the range test videos up to Dustin Dunnill. 😎
Wow thumbs up 👍. I hope I can buy my dream drone.
Thank you! 👍
@@IdahoQuadcopter Ya it seems yours for the most part is working better at least its not over heating like it did
Awsome mountains! Good show.
Thank you very much! 👍
Those carparks in the middle of nowhere are always bad for cross coupling 😁
I'm sure it happens. 😮
i wonder if the water is low or is the drone to high, in case it hits the dam and burst a hole in the 100 foot thick walls.
Hi can you tell which one is more better zino2plus or zino mini pro
Zino 2 Plus. 👍
@@IdahoQuadcopter but in your video i like the camera quality of zino mini pro more than zino2plus
Hi Marcus - I watched this and I subscribed to you
one more question - why do you prefer metric?
Thank you so much Bob! I learned metric flying drones, as most of them default to metric. I have come to appreciate the simplicity and logic of the metric system.
With newest firmware precision landing is available and gimbal goes up before landing
I tried that today. It does indeed work!
What does the actual video bitrate on the mini show?
It agrees with the settings, maybe slightly less.
The video quality of zmp is superb, but Hubsan still fixing the feature in the apps which might affecting the Zoom function 😅
There is some work yet to do on the Zino Mini for sure.
The Zino 2 is clearly the better choice though I try to avoid Hubsan altogether if possible lol
Ha! I hear you Ryan! 😀 I really like the Zino 2 Plus!
Hello Marcus, greetings as you already know from Colombia, always attentive to your videos. Can you make a accompaniment between the Zino Mini Pro and the DJI Mini 2? Thanks friend.
Hola Marcus, saludos como ya sabes desde Colombia, siempre atento a tus videos. Puede hacer un acompañamiento entre el Zino Mini Pro y el DJI Mini 2? Gracias amigo.
Thank you Jonathan! Yes, I do plan on making that comparison. I am hoping that Hubsan can improve their video quality first however.
Ha! 😀 I hear you Pato! Dustin will send it! 😁
Precioso lugar buenas tomas
¡Muchas gracias! ¡Fue un hermoso día para volar!
Hey next time you fly there just stay in your car and see how the flight is... Works great..
Yeah, I like to have eyes on the surroundings. 👍
The video from the mini looks a bit washed out and on the blue end. Maybe that's just a configuration thing.
Hubsan has some work to do on the camera.
Let’s rumble air2 s army out
Ha! Thank you Mike!
The mini pro flies good, has food range, and battery life, but the hello, looks like something from a old parrot bebop, to me this defeats the purpose. If the footage is not right there is no need for me to fly they need to fix this asap, before anything else or any other bugs.
Yes, the video quality is the weak point on the Zino Mini Pro as it stands now. I hope Hubsan sorts it out.
Ahh. Mini get better. I still see jello pudding.
Yes, way too much jello!
Most interesting comparison . Listen to Smetana, ma Vlast
It was fun to fly them both.
Zino 2 plus much better clear vid.
I totally agree!
Hubson turned a corner today? Air2 s army out
We can hope!
