@@movelikeslugg They were famous in the tech death scene. Which is to say almost nothing because the tech death fans are so small in number. I never understood how people could listen to 4/4 repetitive trash myself. Like hearing a faucet drip. But the reality is, that is what most people want, simple nursery rhyme level music. Its not even about tech death, its about excellence, like chon bubble dream and those natural harmonic licks. Or even Eminem playing with words like Brady plays football. By FAR their best? Bro you sleeping on Akeldama. That album absolutely melts. Makes sure Beyond Creation The Aura is in that library too.
@@doublecrossedswine112 their first was organic but this album had a subject from start to finish with good lore. I enjoyed Akeldama don’t get me wrong, but Keene was in his bag with this album. A lot of bands today still take elements from this particular album
lyle cooper.....watching him play is so mesmerizing. 100% muscle memory. so calm and collected. completely focused on nothing but drumming. its like he is in his own world while playing and when the song is over he comes back to reality.
@TwansonFOH, Can not thankyou enough for posting these. Lyle Coople is without a doubt one of the most complete drummers in the world today, and deserves a fuckload more recognition. I'm yet to see ANYONE do a vertabim cover of his work
I prefer Lyle in The faceless because i love the way Lyle writes songs. Don't get me wrong, Alex is sooo sick but just because he's amazing at playing that don't mean the way he puts drums to a song will be good. I'm sure Alex will do a great job on the next Faceless album but i will miss the style Lyle adds :(
lyle isn't there first drummer. he joined after akeldama was recorded. they had brett batdorf as there first drummer during the recording of akeldama, then they had 3 fill ins for recording after batdorf left the band. one of which i believe was marco pitruzzella fill in during some tours. then cooper joined in 2007 and left in 2013, after which alex rudinger joined the band. :)
such an awesome drummer and one hell of a guy too. met him when they came to Boise, ID with obscura, neuraxis, and cannibal corpse. he gave me multiple tips on how to do my blast beats better etc. truly a drumming god. anyways, anyone who's interested in brutal death metal check out my band Mortal Ashes. Cheers to Lyle Cooper and death metal!!
@ozzybob and it's so simple! just one really nice camera angle that doesn't move around and lose focus of the technical skill being shown. The audio is also excellent quality. Sickdrummer needs to take a lesson from this Steve Jones guy. I hate when there's too many camera angles and cuts/edits, the focus of the drumming is lost and it becomes this sort of music video, and then it makes you question if they enhances or perfected the drums, so it was refreshing to see this video. Thanks!
Am I the only one that thinks from this angle he looks like the greatest freakout kid? XD but all jokes aside, hands down one of my favorite drummers and favorite albums!!
@DhGeetar WHOA SIR HOLD UP. I've seen Lyle Cooper live and he is phenomonal. Hes by far one of the cleanest drummers ive ever seen, and this is technical shit. I was just pointing that out, because i try to keep my back straight. Watch my videos. Im lovin these high quality vids of him, fuckin beast!
Probably cause he has to focus so hard on the push-pull blastbeat, and also simultaneous ridiculously fast dub bass drum interjections, well crafted drum compositions and techniques!!
@firstdibbz You don't need to beat the fuck out of your drums to play well. Most people forget that it's a musical instrument, not something to just fucking pound on. His playing is clean, sounds good, and he doesn't completely destroy his equipment in the process.
This show is one of those moments in time where if you could time travel...
yeah dude
Yup
This band was super underrated and this was their best album by FAR. This era of metal was so under appreciated

The Eidelon Reality my guy!
His mental mapping is out of this world, its like he just trances out and feels the mapping instead of trying to memorize it perse
One of the best. What happened to him?
Lets see what he can do when he wakes up!
I watch this at least twice a week
cant stop watching one lyle-drum-cam-vid after the other - thx a bunch steve \m/
THIS QUALITY IS RIDICULOUS!!!! THANK YOU!!!
i could watch these all day! MORE PLEASE!!
Lyle is a freakin genius at the drums
if one day i become a professional drummer, i want to be like him
Sad? Please, do explain.
i have to see this band live with my own eyes, come on, great drums, great vocals, great guitars, great bass
Thanks for all the great drum cam vids of Lyle!
alex just continue the history, while lyle make a history on the facelles!
@TwansonFOH, Can not thankyou enough for posting these. Lyle Coople is without a doubt one of the most complete drummers in the world today, and deserves a fuckload more recognition. I'm yet to see ANYONE do a vertabim cover of his work
One of the best song of The guys without a face, also one of the best songs that was ever made
theyre so clean live drummer is so flawless an relaxed
im glad u finally got a formidable video of lyle
Best time of the faceless
finally some good quality videos of this guy, thanks a bunch man, new vocalists sounds great too.
great freaking sound guys in Germany...The mix is Exellent
How is this band not more popular? Fantastic musicianship!

Agreed love alex but also love lyle
agreed, faceless had much better drums when Lyle was writing, i think it was Keene who wrote drums for the later songs, I could be wrong
It's kind of like how only the Rev can write songs for avenged sevenfold without him everybody's just playing their instruments.
One of the best period! Doesn't matter what type of music either!
i love how people like u point these things out so i can appreciate his talent more than i already do lol
lot's and lot's of practice in his life to be calm and hit with great form
I love these vids!!! Please make more Lyle is amazing
Look up Alex Rudinger's cover of Xenochrist. He's the new Drummer, plays it note for note.
lyle isn't there first drummer. he joined after akeldama was recorded. they had brett batdorf as there first drummer during the recording of akeldama, then they had 3 fill ins for recording after batdorf left the band. one of which i believe was marco pitruzzella fill in during some tours. then cooper joined in 2007 and left in 2013, after which alex rudinger joined the band. :)
+Justin Rios jeark!!+!!@
i didn't?
i always thought they had programmed drums on akeldama
What about Nick pierce?
jesus i love this song

Am I the only one who thinks Lyle is waaaaay to underrated?
His right hand pivot wrist technique
0:45 starts to get all "willy wonka scary tunnel"
Ah. BTW the sound quality is immense! I suspect it was recorded from the mixing table.
I think i like the cleans on this more then on the CD
amazing
3:43 I always think "Burning the corpse. Consumed by the flames. They never will find. Evidence. In-The-Furnace!"
He plays so effortlessly. He almost looks like he's not even hitting that crash.
super sick.
Uuuuuuuugggghhhh this band is outrageous
@meatballllll. On the info it says filmed by Steve jones. He is the rhythm guitar player and now we know he owns a badass camera too. Haha
Im a pro at shape shifters! probably the only faceless song i can cover 100%
impressive
@Defienz No if you look in the bottom left, you can see his left kick. 2 of his kick drum lugs stick out.
Great vocals at this vid !! ;)
Man, I don't know how you got these, but thanks for uploading!
Let the music speak for itself, brobot.
He makes it look like he's making fucking omelettes. So effortless
Am I the only one that thinks from this angle he looks like the greatest freakout kid? XD but all jokes aside, hands down one of my favorite drummers and favorite albums!!
Lyle is a fucking G
0 Dislikes, keep it that way. THUMBS UP
That fill at 3:56 is so tight. Great vid!
lyle your a badass
insane
Agreed! Mad props. \m/
@ozzybob agreed man this guys camera is a BAUSSSSSSSSS
so clean to the eye

Yes
This is fucking sick!
I can tell you that the drums ain't a walk in the park either!
I love Lyle lmao
haha I fuckin love this guy
He makes it look so goddamn easy
I have named this my favorite death metal band. haha
Mark Zuckerbang of The FaceBang
Fuckin Tasty🤘🏻
Probably cause he has to focus so hard on the push-pull blastbeat, and also simultaneous ridiculously fast dub bass drum interjections, well crafted drum compositions and techniques!!
This is Lyle Cooper
clearly possessed
WHOA..,..
@Sormannn 23 years old

Siiiiiiiiiickk

2:33 SIIIIIICK!!!!!
@kierensaysmaybe
Don't forget Between the Buried and Me!
That means you, mr top comment.
@firstdibbz You don't need to beat the fuck out of your drums to play well. Most people forget that it's a musical instrument, not something to just fucking pound on. His playing is clean, sounds good, and he doesn't completely destroy his equipment in the process.
Lol he's Cooper.
Their 1st drummer.
What EQ settings did you use for the floor tom? Sounds beastly.
That’s way too unreal
I hope you mean that on drums only. Because let me tell you, on guitar it ain't a walk in the park! =D
He tapped that china like if it was glass
Dat floor tom
Looks high AF
more like The Eyeless
he must be possesed! he bliked!
@Andrewdmfc Its kinda like a habit that gets you in the zone, I do the same thing but I'm not as good as he is, not yet at least lol.
1:31
anyone know what snare Lyle uses?
I hate how people crticize lyle for not showing emotions. Isnt the purpose of music to display your feelings in the music?
Is this the new vocalist?
@DhGeetar It's true. Lyle may be great player, but he always looks uncomfortable and awkward when he plays.
why comment section is full of comparison lol
@RedOnChrome Yeah, his posture is awful. Totally agree. Great playing though.
what kind of mics does lyle use on his drums?
I never understood people like you. Why is it necessary? Will it make his drumming better? For this genre, his drumming is excellent if you ask me..
just one question, how old is Lyle?
dat moeller technique
His hands don't look like they move fast enough to be making the drum noise >_> voodoo
An absolute freak
