This is awesome. A snare being hit properly by a real musician sounds so much better than all these ticklers triggering samples we have to endure nowadays.

Truth. I have nothing against triggers in principle; it's just a different way to play, but it always just sounds a little empty and mechanical. Real drums are so much richer.

Personally, I find snare samples far more abrasive to the ear than kick drum samples. With a real snare, you don't get that "machine gun" effect during fills or blastbeats.

Chason plays with so much power! I was really impressed by his playing with Burning The Masses but this is just beastly. His fills are super tight too.

Craig Thorne Yeah, I have his instructional video, I just said that because everyone uses the french grip for blasting, but Chason uses mainly his wrist, not so much fingers. Sorry about my lame English. Cheers from Chile man.
Mr. Mime yeah that's true, but I think there's a point where the blast is so ridiculously fast that is not musical anymore and it can even be replaced by techniques as the one handed roll. David McGraw from cattle decapitation is a good example of fast as shit blast beat and even faster parts using one handed roll. Cheers mate
***** in fact that's exactly my point. I can guess English is not your mother tongue. wrist is extremely important and so is the rest of our body. For example my blast is about 190 or 200 BPM using mainly my wrist (sometimes even more but at short bursts) the thing is, since I'm developing my finger control I have improved a lot in endurance and speed. The teaser that Hate Eternal had on their youtube channel teased too much - couldn't handle it. I have never seen a death metal drummer of his calibre before with regards to power. Incredible, incredible, incredible. Look at the nod Erik gives him after the fill at around 3:11.
Glad to see he has some new fucking cymbals too - first live vid of him "crack-free" (although let's face it, crack would explain the freakish power of those blasts right??)

SO! I played a lot of my bands songs at least 10-15bpm faster than recorded. This song is like 20bpm faster than recorded, and still sounds absolutely tight AF and on-god-damn-point
