Good morning from our first campsite in New Mexico! Join me, Rob, and Dottie as we explore the beautiful Storrie Lake State Park, located just outside Las Vegas, New Mexico. This isn't the Las Vegas you're thinking of - it's a lesser-known gem with stunning scenery and peaceful campsites.
In this video, I'll take you on a tour of our campsite, showcasing the shade provided by the lovely trees and our setup, including the new Champion generator. I'll also share the story behind our generator upgrade and the minor roof repair I had to do on the RV.
We'll ride around the park, checking out the different campgrounds, including some primitive camping spots right by the lake, which are free with an annual camping pass. Despite the windy weather and the absence of electricity at our site, we're making the most of our stay with the help of our new generator.
Additionally, I'll talk about the challenges of editing a multi-camera video on our journey from Pahrump to here, and why I won't be attempting that again.
Towards the end of the video, we'll visit our friends Donna, Sally, and the kids, and of course, we can't forget about finding Dottie and making sure she's comfortable.
Thank you for joining us on our adventure. Don't forget to check out the beautiful views of Storrie Lake and our campsite setup. Enjoy the video and see you next time on Travels with Dottie!
I use a GoPro 10, an iPhone 15 Pro Max, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3and the Hover X1

I would have liked to see the water. Was it clear water? Warm or cold? Sandy or rock bottom? Any ducks or geese, etc...
Thank you for the very fast bike ride, nice bike. 😊

What a beautiful state park! Glad you got a generator you are happy with. I have the Westinghouse 4500 and I have been happy with that. But as you know, I stay plugged in so I’ve only had to use it in emergencies when power has gone out.

I enjoyed the video Rob, I sure do miss Dottie that sweet face when you open the door! I am going to be in the market for a new generator this winter. My little predator is now seven years old and I think it’s going to just be retired. It barely made it through this last winter. I will definitely be buying a champion as well. I’ve been looking at them for several months now just trying to debate, how big of one I want. I definitely need something that will run my air fryer lol. ❤🤗

I liked the tour. But I really didnt understand what the differences were from area to area. What is the difference between where Sally and Donna and your spot? Where do people that tent stay? Since you're paying the state a fee, can you fish in the lake without having to purchase a license. Im glad you have your new generator. I suppose if you were paying for electricity everyday, I believe you said that was an extra $15 a day as opposed to the $4 a day you are paying, it would pay for itself relatively soon. I hope I haven't bugged you with too many questions but I was thinking these thing while watching your nice video. Oh yes, how's George feeling? Of course Dottie is as precious as ever, happy little pooch!
Be well be safe and be happy!
    Thank you ☮️💜😊

They are just in a different camping loop a half mile away. Fishing requires a state license which is $56 for a year. George is doing very well

Dottie & George get along? Or, they just tolerate each other?

Hard to tell from the video, but the Champion generator sounded pretty quiet. Is it quiet?
