Clutch drag on my kwack turned out to be a basket running out of true. It only became obvious when the basket was spun at speed by a socket fitted into a cordless drill. Worth checking before replacing the plates and pusher.
Nice video! I have a question, if you can reply me it would be awesome! Can a clutch basket creates vibrations at any RPMs? I hear some sounds from clutch, light sounds... But my bike vibrates alot, in handlebars, seat, footpegs... I changed the oil, plugs, chain and sprokets, i checked the tires! The vibrations goes away while i'm pulling the clutch at any speed... If the clutch cause vibrations, can you explain me, why? Are the springs behind the clutch?
Excellent video, thanks for the painstaking explanation and really good photography. Now that you've done the job do you think there is any mileage in using a long second-cut file and filing the fingers at the same time on opposite sides of the basket? Also, did you round out the roots of the fingers? I suppose that when you clean up the basket (and hub) the less filed edges will be the first to groove as they will be taking most of the load - maybe worth after a couple of thousand miles. Thanks again for the best video on the subject :-)) Now then, how do I get that highly torqued hub nut off? Paul
lay a single steel plate flat on a sheet of very fine grit sand paper on the work bench, and spin it lightly flat, this way you wont grind to much on one end, and warp them, do this to each one.
Thanks for the video. Do you think this will solve a two stroke dirt bike that dies when put into first gear while clutch is in

good video. was pulling my kawis clutch apart earlier and the basket was all notched. going to give this a shot, rather than spend 250 on a new basket
those steel plates are suppose to be sharp on one end, and smooth on the other, the sharp end goes outwards.
220 grit wet dry to remove the sharp edge and de-burnish the steel plates

those notches in the fiber plates are for slinging oil around, never match them up on the same finger like this.
