    You can buy a file cleaning hand brush. It is flat (maybe 2", 50 mm wide) with many properly spaced short (1/4" tall) metal "hairs" standing up and these hairs fit into the grooves in a file. Works great on fine and coarse files. Drag the brush across the file ata slight angle in the direction of the grain of the file. You may even feel the brush as it glides across the file cleaning the low area of the file (between the file's teeth). A couple passes then move along the file to a new section until you cleaned the complete file or the dirty area.

    so i'm just filing away the "hills" a bit and try to keep the "deepest-points" so the perfect contact between both parts does not get falsified (sry for my english)

    hey mate great video👍🏼 i recently just bought a 2017 wr450f and when the bike is in first gear and i start it (electric start) the bike wants to take off and starts moving forward. sometimes it wont even kick over if its in gear, i have to put it in neutral to start it. could this be a clutch issue or more transmission issue?

    A new basket for my rsv4 costs just under $1000. Guess what I'll be doing on my day off. With the inner barrel it's $1700 if you're curious

    hi! complete newbie here. Recently purchased a huskie fe350. Do i need to remove the whole engine from the bike in order to remove the clutch basket? thanks!

      Nope! You can normally get to it from the clutch cover (roundish cover on the RH side of the bike with probably 8 bolts in it)

    Will it not make a noise since the gap between clutch lining and the basket increase?

      I’ve never noticed anything 🤷🏻‍♂️ in theory yes it would slap harder in the basket going from an unloaded state to a loaded state

      Yes you typically won't get much more time with a basket like that as it will wear quickly back to its Old State

    My man I got a real question will those grooves in the clutch make your clutch pull really stiff? My basket was terribly grooved.

    • @ToyShopRestorations
      @ToyShopRestorations  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Um not usually that I’ve experienced. A lot of times that’s in your cable. Try taking your cable off from the lever and the arm on the case and see if you can pull the cable in and out easily.

      @@ToyShopRestorations iv got the same issue on my kx250, replaced the clutch cable and still hard to pull. Basket looks grooved so am thinkinh that is the issue

      @ToyShopRestorations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LiamMorris I’ve had the cable routing wrong before and that has made it hard to move. I had to pull the tank off and reroute it and it got way easier. Just another option to try 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @LiamMorris

      @@ToyShopRestorations that could also be my issue. Will look into it. Cheers

    I just filed my one 3rd time
    Why are they making it from so soft material so annoying.
    Any time it's gets hills, it's slipping in high gear. as its preventing go closer and tight.

      @ToyShopRestorations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m assuming weight and cost. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I bought an aftermarket Barnett basket for one of my race bikes and it actually has steel there to prevent this.
