After installing the Bride Stradia III seats in the GR86, there is now always an airbag light on that takes up the whole left side of the dash preventing you from seeing the important oil and water temps. Thankfully, my good friend TK and his friend Richard have come up with a solution for us that allows us to mount the sensors onto their bracket under their seat!

A company called ‘Brad’s Hacks’ that 3D prints a tiny dongle to emulates an airbag. Small, cheap and plug&play
Great option if you don't want to tape up a resistor. I had some sitting around and they're super cheap on Amazon so opted to go that route.
Would this bracket work for a 2015 Subaru brz?
Sometimes people focus too much on the dash lights and not enough on whether the passenger airbags actually function. I wouldn't feel right letting a passenger ride in my car if I knew I had disabled their airbags. I have aftermarket seats in my gr86 and I was able to get the occupancy sensors working by retrofitting them to the aftermarket seat bracket in such a way that pressure is constantly applied. Now my passenger airbag ON light is always on regardless of whether someone is sitting there. This is the only way I feel ok having an aftermarket passenger seat in my street car.
Will bypassing the passenger still allow for the stock drivers airbags to function? I have stock seats, but want to lose the passenger side altogether but have no light + driver's bags.

I'm a little confused. So do I have to worry about any of this if I only want to install one bucket seat (driver side)? In other words, is this only a problem with the passenger side seat?
Yes, only a problem for passenger. The driver side has no occupancy sensor, only the plug for the airbag in the seat itself (which you would be removing) and the seatbelt plug.

Hi Kevin, I am interested in the F1 Style Blinking Module. Does the module have a timer that prevents excessive blinking if the peddle is pressed in rapid succession (two peddle presses within 3 seconds)?
No, this doesn't have a delay so it will flash upon each press of the brake.
Does anyone know if you can get seats like these with the seat warmer feature?

I plan on putting new seats in mine and this video has helped a bunch, I wonder if there is a way to 3d print a bracket for the occupancy sensors that will allow you to use a lever mechanic to apply pressure to them letting the sensors know someone is in the seat, thus making the airbags still go off when you have a passenger

I believe in many cars when there an air bag light/fault, the system does not work and ALL air bags in the car will NOT deploy in a collision. So...keep that in mind. Resistors are cheap but need a less ghetto way to secure them. lol
So I have only a driver seat change with an NRG seat. All I need is the resistor to get rid of the airbag light?

awesome!! The one that allows the passenger airbag will be nice because down the road I would love aftermarket seats in the future but don't want to lose safety of the airbags for myself or passengers.

But you are losing the airbags anyway.... this trick is just to cheat to the car that he thinks the airbags are there to do not get the error message but you removed the airbags already together with the OEM seat....
@@fenixlegendario2472 he mentions a future one will be able to keep airbags activated. This one just clears the warning/system notification you're right. Good for track car, but probably want to retain airbags for street car.

Bride sells a 2.2Ohm resistor part no A52NPO that fixes the light and warning, keeps the other airbags working, it's less than $20
Might work on the 1st gen, but the second gen uses more complicated occupancy sensors now so it won't work. Unless you do something about the sensors.

Bride sells a 2.2 ohm resistor that you splice into the yellow airbag cable on the chassis harness and it simulates a signal that the OEM seat sends when it has an occupant. Cheap fix for less than $20 and requires no hardware.

Might work on the previous gen, but won't work on the 2nd gen as it uses different sensors now.
How do you know it doesn't work on Second gen cars? Instead of 2.2 ohms, is it now 3.3 ohms?
@escargod the resistors themselves are just to trick the car into think there is an airbag plugged in. It does not replace the occupancy sensor that is present on the passenger side.v
I know that. You didn't address my question. Further research suggests it is now 3.3 ohms.
I'm putting in a racing seat and taking out the passenger seat, so I'll disable both.
BTW, I put in a Sparco Ergo II and I had to trim on the left side of the halo to get it to clear the headliner!
