Installing some aftermarket seats in your GR86/BRZ is a great modification! However, it comes with a bit of a nuance. You have to deal with the airbag light and the occupancy sensor if you're changing both the driver and passenger side seat. In the previous gen you could just transfer over the occupancy sensor, but on the 2nd gen they've changed to more complicated sensors that can't just be swapped over to work. Luckily, GeraldJustProjects has come out with the perfect solution that gets rid of all the lights and notifications and allows the airbags to work properly.

I can't understand everything because I'm Korean, but I'm so happy to watch your video
I still can't get over how PERFECTLY the seat match the exterior.
I LOVE how the pop in the interior and match up with the exterior!
@@KevinVo It's Type-R-esque for real
Bro! Thank you so much for all of your tips and reviews. We need to get you that HKS supercharger!
Haha I'll see what I can do about forced induction.
Big fan of your since the beginning, I’m glad you are doing well since your departure from subsided. Keep creating great content and thank you.
Appreciate your support!!
I've got a 22VB WRX, do you assume I'll need the same module?
Hi nice videos! How are the seats with harness on the track compared to a full bucket seat? I am looking to get something similar (GIAS 3) for my r35 while keeping it street (and SAFE)
Here 27 seconds after it was posted lmao
🙌
will this work for the previous gen too?
For that bride seat sensor it’s just plug in right? No need to splice?
Do you have a tutorial for the 2014 frs too?
Hey Kevin. Does this option work if you have aftermarket seats without pre installed occupancy sensors?
Will this and how will this work if I just want a pure passenger seat removal?
This is awesome, definitely been waiting for something like this. What if the passenger seat does not have the aftermarket occupancy sensor?
If you don't have an aftermarket occupancy sensor then your passenger side airbag won't turn on and will always be off unless you wire up some sort of manual switch.
@@KevinVo im installing some seats tomorrow, ive got the resistors for the airbag lights so im good to go on the drivers side. but for the passenger side, could i just make my own bracket to attach the 4 sensors to, & when i transfer the harness over, connect a manual swith in place of the occupancy sensor? so i would just turn it on when somebody is in the seat? if you have any info on this, id appreciate the help!
Love the Bunta air freshener 😂
hey keving, when you install the after market seat, how to do you deal with engine light fault on airbags and heated seat?
The part I showed you fixes the lights on the dash. You will lose the heated seat function unless your aftermarket seat comes with it or you install an aftermarket heating element.
Hey man, love your work! Thank you for the great content 👏
How are the HRS tail lights going?
Have you had any issues, faults, etc?
I'm asking because they're super expensive to import to my part of the world and I'm hoping they're as good as they appear long-term.
I appreciate that you get lots of comments/questions, etc, so thank you for any advice you can provide 🙏
To be completely upfront and honest with you, I cannot comment on the longevity of them as I haven't ran them for long enough to give you that feedback. As with any aftermarket light though, it can be hit or miss. Some people don't have any issues, and others can run into multiple issues. It's just a part of the modification game we play haha
@@KevinVoThank you very much for your reply! Much appreciated!
Will I need to get the Occupancy Sensor bracket for this to work? Possible to DIY something to hold the sensors and just stuff it under the seat? Sorry if I sound stupid. Just bought the Seat Sim as well!
No need for the bracket if you are using the seat sim from GJP. I just already had the sensors installed on the bracket so I didn't feel the need to remove them. Once you've gone through the sequence I showed in the video, you can unplug the sensors and store them away.
One more thing, if I use the SEAT SIM would i still need the pressure pad from bride? @@KevinVo
Hello Kevin
It's very nice! Love your work ❤️..
Uncle Sang,
Thank you, Chu Sang!
How much more back seat leg room is there with the bride seats?
There is more, but because of how aggressive the bolsters are they don't allow you to fold the seats forward so the back seats are as useless as they always were.
Did these seats provide additional headroom over stock?
I’d like to know this aswell
Quick question. I have a 2019 sti and I have braum seats I try alot of resistor but my light is still on
Likely need to transfer over the occupancy sensor from your passenger seat.
Kevin what floor matts are those??

Will this stuff work for a 2nd gen tacoma?
Honestly have no idea haha I doubt it though.
Link to the seat occupancy sensor?
The OEM ones or the one I have in my Bride seat?
Is there a way to remove the passenger seat and disable the airbag without any issues being thrown up on the dash? I drive around with just my five year old and I don’t need that front seat.
You'd need to remove the sensors from the passenger seat and plug them in. That will fix the light.
@@KevinVo thanks 1 million and please keep cranking out your content!
When are you putting new wheels
Hoping to have new wheels on the car within the next few weeks!
Where did you buy those seats?
Got these from a contact in Japan. You can find them on evasive or vivid racings website.
If I have broke one of the 4 sensor do you think is a big problem… ?
Unfortunately I don't think you can buy them separately so you'd have to find a whole new seat.
@@KevinVo ok so i can’t just use the Pressure sensor pigtail i really need to program with the oem pressure sensors harness? No second option 😓?
if i were you i would check first by trying to plug all 4 in the car. and see if you get any error messages. on rare ocations you can crack the outside plastic but the internal sensor would still work. at-least enough to copy over the serial number
@@geraldjustprojects thank you !! I will ordered soon or next spring hope everything works .. 2 years with airbag light is boring!!
Easy alright, but 188$? Expensive too.
If you understood the R&D that had to go into this, you wouldn't say so. This is not just a simple plug and play resistor. There was a lot of coding that had to go into this to make sure it works properly. I'm happy to pay $188 to have my airbags work properly and not have a Christmas tree dash.
@@KevinVoI'm skeptical, but I'll give it it's due n read more about it.
@@geoffcarsten1031 you could always use the bride module. the model number is "AMMU01"
