    Great video. How thick is the skin your using? I'm struggling with tearing my reelskin as it's about 2.2mm and I'm going about 1mm deep on most cases.

    Can you sketch with tattooing? What I mean is almost use like a pencil ,like making a circle , can just sketch rather than one continuous line. Obviously with the aim to get better so i can pull a full circle in one line.

      No, because applying less pressure creates shallow lines that will not hold after the tattoo heals. If you want to create a tattoo that looks like a pencil sketch, you will need to prepare a design that looks like one, stencil it, then tattoo it like you would tattoo any other design. For example, if you want to tattoo a brush stroke, the machine can't create actual brush strokes, so you have to use an image of one, stencil it, then outline the shape and fill it in to make it look like an actual brush stroke.

    I know it differs, like you say, but what is the industry average on line work? I know it's a difficult question to ask as all differ, but there must be a Average. Just liked and subscribed your page ,great video 👍

      I'm not entirely sure what you mean by industry average, but if you're asking if there's a specific technique, or approach, that absolutely everyone in the industry uses, then no, there isn't one.

    Have you tried the solnova 5.0 for lining? If so what are your thoughts? Thanks.
    I have the 3.5 but I have been using my Kubin for lining. I’m trying to find a good pen for lining with carts.

      Hey, I've only tried the 4.0 one, which is what I'm using nowadays for my black and grey realism and I think it's a very solid machine. I honestly didn't even know there was a 5.0.

    How do you know you’ve hit the dermis? I’ve heard about people feeling for the vibration in the stretching hand?! For me Sometimes lining is really easy and other times no matter how deep or fast I go nothing sticks?!

    • @tattooartsunlocked
      @tattooartsunlocked  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I know some people are looking for a particular vibration or sound, but I think that's actually more confusing to a beginner. My advice is to pay attention to the visual feedback of the skin, and to try to get used to controlling pressure and getting a good stretch on the areas that need it, so you can build up your muscle memory. If you're having trouble lining sometimes, see what's different and try to identify what's causing the problem first.
