    Thanks for an honest video. Well done.
    In my opinion, You either get a good one or a POS. The brand hardly matters anymore. I’ve only had my 22 for 5 months with zero problems and I hope it stays that way. As far as the truck, the interior is awesome, it’s solid and quiet, and with a Thuren leveling kit on 37s, it’s a smooth ride.

    If you buy a new Ram/Jeep.....
    Open the TIPM and push any fuse down *click*, repeat for every fuse/breaker/relay.
    None of the fuses are fully seated which creates an open electrical bridge at the base of the fuse contact.
    If you live near Salt water or where roads are chemically treated, the aerosolized salts will condense at the electrical bridge created by the fuses.
    I have had a '16,17,20,21,23,24 model FCA/Stellantis and found this to be the case(unseated fuses). In every case I seated them fully and not only had no issues as a result, but have had literally no electrical issues.
    I'm sure the TIPM is populated by robot, they look exactly the same and uniform, but the fuses are not seated.
    *some of the above is opinion/speculation but it is founded in experience that supports them.

    All the little extra nannies things would drive me nuts.
    Glad I bought a base model tradesman power wagon, no frills, just the fun needed stuff. I realize not everyone wants that! It makes me happy knowing my power wagon has no options, vinyl seats, rubber floor, nothing extra yeah I love it. All I want in a truck is AC, radio, lockers & winch.

    I’ve bought 6 new and a couple used Dodge/Ram trucks over the past 20+ years. I don’t think I’ve had as many issues COMBINED for them, as you’ve had for this one. I’m reasonably sure that, if I’d been having this many issues in that short of time, that truck would be gone if it were mine.

    LIST of trucks I’ve owned and put over 60k miles on them
    2020 Power wagon
    2018 ford raptor
    2016 F-350 ford diesel 6.7L
    Out of the 3 I loved the PW by far my fav
    BUT with constant issues back and forth to dealerships I got sick and tired of that after some many years……
    I sold them and bought 2021 Tacoma TRD off road double cab 4x4 in a automatic brand new and now with almost 50k miles on it I can say this truck is the best truck I’ve owned in 27years , it’s never seen the dealership at all .I do my own oil changes it has been flawless I’m a averaging 23-24 mpg on the highway going 65-70mph I do have a slight lift on it with bigger tires I do use it for hunting as well , also I tow a 6k pound trailer with it and does just fine getting 14-15mpg’s around 60-65mph . I honestly loved the PW but now owning the 21 Tacoma I will not go back to another truck , don’t get me wrong those truck above have their positives BUT the negatives out weigh the positives by large margin . Yes I know Tacoma can’t tow 10k pound trailer but I’ve down sized everything to my needs , and as far as off road goes Tacoma gets me places that non of the trucks above I’ve owned could with ease , plus I have a peace of mind . PW is and will always be my fav full size truck though .

I have had similar problems with Honda, Nissan, Toyota, and Ram all built after 2018. The Nissan was the worst by far but all was covered by warranty and they did eventually manage to solve all the problems and it is a good vehicle now it was just annoying having it fixed what seemed liked every other month at first.

    I bought a used 2020 PW 36,500 miles. Only when I first bought the truck it had an issue that self resolved with the radio and Bluetooth playing at the same time. Had a chicken light go out too. I’ve put THUREN leveling coils with fox shocks and track bar with a king steering stabilizer. The stabilizer was actually blown out and the thermostat also took a crap at the same time. Rear track bar is next then gonna have to upgrade the radius arms, drag like and maybe the tie rod bar just to make sure it’s solid. Just ordered black rhino wheel armory -18mm offset. Hopefully she’ll drive like I want it some day. Now at 41,500 and it seems like the engine chokes up sometimes when coming from a stop and it has the hemi tick and a metallic rattle near the cat converter SOMETIMES, lol

    I bought a '22 Powerwagon last July. SO FAR, I haven't had most of the "gremlins" that you've had. Uconnect reboots itself maybe once a month / once every 2 months, while I'm driving down the road. Other than that, no complaints! It's probably THE MOST SOLID feeling vehicle I've owned, so far. It also rides way smoother than I expected a 3/4 ton truck to drive/ride. I look forward to hearing more updates! :)

    • @JustinKingOffroad
      @JustinKingOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah the reason it's riding smoother is the lower overall towing capacity. you've got the same chassis, transmission, engine, axles as the 2500/3500 trucks. just look at your rear GAWR. it's something like 6000 pounds! a lot of guys put airbags on these trucks to make them capable of pulling 15,000 like the regular non-pw rams!

    I bought a 2019 in March of that year. I had to replace my 12 inch screen because my GPS went crazy. And the dealer replaced my side view mirrors because they wouldn't return back to zero after putting the truck into reverse. I don't drive it much. Currently about 26k miles. I put a canopy on it and automatic running boards on it. Mine is silver and gorgeous. Debating on whether to put 35s on it.

I just put a fox stabilizer bar and the steering is 100% better and no longer the jeep truck like steering. I know I don’t need a stabilizer bar but I don’t want to spend 5,000 to 10,000 to fix that to just not to eliminate the stabilizer bar. I know this as I did it with my JKU and ran 40’s without a stabilizer bar aftermarket heavy duty parts help a lot.

Waited for an initial fix that didn’t work, waited for permission from Chrysler to either replace or rebuild the transmission then, waited for parts. Now, waiting for a technician to do the work. I removed the seals between the bed and cab. Which not only helps with possible rusting there from them rubbing. It got rid of the noise I had which was the bottom seal is pretty hard rubber and was squeaky noise coming into the cab. So that noise being gone is worth taking out those seals. The side ones just slide off the bed. And bottom seal is held on with 5 plastic push bottom style clips.

    Hey Justin, love your channel. I am a power wagon owner myself, and love the truck it’s a beast. I was wondering if you have heard of this issue I am having with mine - my dash light will start flickering only when it’s dark out. I have taken the truck into the dealership and they said they couldn’t get it to do it. I have videoed it and showed it to them, and they said they checked the alternator, battery and everything was ok. It’s been doing this since shortly after I bought the truck. I have been through 3 batteries on this truck within 2 1/2 years. It is a 2021, and I am on my 4th battery. The dealership has replaced it and send me on my way don’t look into the problem at all. I think the lights flickering and battery issues are connected. There has to be a short or something going on wondering if you have heard of this problem? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

    • @JustinKingOffroad
      @JustinKingOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      i have not heard of that problem. but, the dash cluster is pretty easy to remove. I almost wonder if it's not plugged in all the way. Friend of mine had a pretty major wiring harness on a 2016 not clipped in all the way from the factory. Dealership found it buried waaaay up in the dash and re-seated it and all his problems went away.
