Two great trucks. Although the PW definitely has a lower towing capability than the Tremor, there is an important point to consider. The Power Wagon has the ability to tow its load, probably 8000 lbs to around 10,000 lbs, to places where the Tremor never could. When you have to tow heavy loads up muddy, snow covered, rock covered mountain roads in the winter, you’ll want the PW. Locking the front and rear lockers, disconnecting the sway bar, and putting in to low range, you essentially have a truck that is more like a tractor. It can be a real life saver. It’s really more work truck than off road truck.
IMHO these are in two different categories completely. The RAM PW is built with off-road capability taking precedence over towing and the Tremor is built with towing taking precedence over off-road capability. I think the Tremor strikes a better balance just because no matter what you do a HD truck is a HD truck and no matter how capable you make it the vehicle will never fit through things carved out by jeeps. But that's just my opinion. IMO Ram should be taking note from Tremor's success and adjust the PW accordingly. The PW of old, oddly enough, was more akin to the Tremor today. My only real significant dig against the Tremor is that the F250 Tremor is just an F350 Tremor that's de-rated. So you've got some extra weight there you don't get to make use of which pulls from your payload. Doesn't make any sense to get a diesel F250 Tremor, again just my opinion.
My neighbor has a brand new Ford Platinum and he is getting water in it, thought I would never say it but I would go with the RAM I have a 5000 lb travel trailer and still go with the power wagon
Hey, nice review, but you should’ve compared the tremor to the 2500 rebel diesel with the power wagon package. The tremor is 15k more! Unless you’re towing heavy most of the time, Power Wagon all the way!
They would have to completely rework the entire suspension frame and rear end if they did a diesel option. Or simply rate it for the same capacity as a gas engine but even then the front end would have to be beefed up significantly. That has always been the reason they haven’t added the diesel option. Seems simple right but who really knows
You should show a price on the Ford with a gas engine. I always think Ford is ripping people off on super duty tremor packages by not providing any skid plate protection. It's not like they're forking out big bucks for those stamped sheet metal parts anyway, which would most likely be aluminum and/or plastic.
Man I like all the big 3 but the RAM next to the ford looks like a little toy here...and that payload dang my jeep has more payload than the RAM....no comparison in these 2 trucks whatsoever...is this specific RAM even a truck?? Hatchback type payload wow Everything aside last 3 years QC has dropped significantly for all the big 3 none is better than the other now at all in terms of QC...just pray that whatever you get you get a good one.
Great trucks, I like the GM trucks as well. My question is ..........who in the hell would go "off-roading" with a $85K - $100K truck? If I learned anything in my younger off roading days is that you NEVER go off roading with your ride home. You use the $90K truck to pull the trailer with your off-roading vehicle of choice around with. So ....... when you're broke down or stuck in the woods, you have a way home or to get help, not to mention the risk of damage from tree limbs, stumps, rocks, deep ditches or mud holes that would dent, break, mar, scratch, or scrape your nice truck.
My buddy at work - his 2024 F250 been in shop for a month - compressor went out. The fan clutch in his 2023 went out also. Dude buys the new ford every year 🤦♂️🤷♂️
With all the cameras does the government see everything you run over and can they listen on conversations inside the truck and do they know how much gas you have Left
The Power Wagon will circles around a Tremor any day off-road BUT being a versatile truck and still packing some serious punch, Ford has the Ram beat in it's turf and capitalized on the sole fact it doesn't come with a diesel.
You can get a winch with the tremor as well also I think I could be wrong the tremor has 35 inch tall tires unlike with the Power Wagon and you can get a 250 or 350 either gas or diesel in the tremor as well unlike with the Power Wagon you can only get the Gas engine.

I like the tremor wheel just as much as the power wagon
both are massive looking beasts ... gotta admit that raised cowl hood and red on the wagon does make it pop.
Ford keep doing a great job with their truck to compete with Ram👍

I'm hoping in 2025 Ram finally gives us a power wagon with the Cummins/ZF trans option.
Im guessing all the HDs will have the ZF trans

The Tremor if you are looking for towing and hauling while the Power Wagon for a better interior
Like these 2, but the GM Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD ZR2 Bison should've been thrown in as well.
great review
This Ford truck has been on the market for a long time now!
Power wagon has been around much longer
Ok, and?
Was your opening sentence because you nearly got your AT4x stuck in the mud? Love the review, very thorough, keep em coming! :-)
I prefer the WENCHES from the Renaissance Fair! 😅 Just saying!

What’s the most reliable trouble free diesel for 2024 year to buy?
i would take the power wagon all day
Most add-ons should be standard, and don't even get me started on that inflated price. Keep 'em...
Tremor vs rebel would be about the same concept and better comparison.
Power wagon is somewhat a league of its own. Imo with its suspension set up.
The ram you lose payload and towing by selecting the power wagon due to the more off road oriented suspension.
In the 80s, 33×12.50 was the preferred tire size

I doubt your jeep has a 8565 lb GVW or an 18,000 GCW rating. You could your jeep in the back box if it were long enough.
@@5075E it doesn't matter it can still haul more than this Ram lol
@@EBKRV412 Kindly name jeep with year, model, etc. Just need to validate
I thought I was gonna watch them compete
Ram power wagon all day
YES

lol fanboy
"Dude buys the new Ford every year"
Sounds like he's got FU money, don't think he cares about parts breaking. He's not looking for reliability.
He does have FU money…but he’s also one of the super detail oriented, nitpicky types…there’s a reason why he’s rich. He’s super bugged by it. 😂
If the price comes with a House then its priced right
One hauls more tows more has more power and more torque. Has a bigger bed by almost 6 inches. The Lamb is also owned by shitlsntis
With all the cameras does the government see everything you run over and can they listen on conversations inside the truck and do they know how much gas you have Left
Tremor
It seems like the Ford is better for towing & the ram is better off road
The Power Wagon will circles around a Tremor any day off-road BUT being a versatile truck and still packing some serious punch, Ford has the Ram beat in it's turf and capitalized on the sole fact it doesn't come with a diesel.
Strictly off road, the PW still rules… if you’re towing as well then the tremor… tremor with Godzilla would be my choice… or maybe the at4x AEV
Unaffordable....Unfortunately
Ford all day long

33K in options?!? 🤯
When did Porsche start making pickup trucks?
