My first job when I left school in 1982 was working on the Speyside Way under the Youth Opportunities Programme opening up the spur from Craigellachie to Dufftown as well as maintaining Speybay-Ballindaloch (as far as it went then) Loved that job but I still want to walk the full route now.
Hey welcome back to the homeland! Yes Ellie has been missed. And I bet you felt the same about the true Scottish weather :) lol Also can't be a legit H2H video without a couple mishaps along the way huh?🤣 That yurt place you ate in was so cool. loved how you found that swing the middle of the forest..and it held up too! Shinty..never heard of it. Yep it does seem like it's not for the faint of heart if one wants to participate. lol
Loving the content guys , especially nice for us seeing Scotland again as we only just got back from the west side last week & can't wait till our next trip to Cairngorms next year , so this sort of content is greatly appreciated. Got excited when you said you were getting some van upgrades, thought you were finally chucking that mug away lol. Keep up the superb content guys, Ian & Kim
Thank you both, hope you had a great trip up west 😁 the cairngorms is a really beautiful part of scotland and we absolutely loved this Speyside way walk. It felt like there was no one else around 😁 hahaha maybe one day 😂 but not yet!
Me and my wife use to live a few miles just north of kingussie in a very small village called Laggan, if you head a few miles further you will come to a place called the Laggan Wolftrax, a little up the road you'll find what is now a gin brewery (daffy's gin) located at Strathmashie House (was our old house before selling back in 2016) you can stay there as its also a bnb...worth a look see
Hari Om Ah, that's better, back in your natural environment! I'll have to check some of that out - yes, have driven past The Barracks so many times, never stopped... I just spent three days on the Three Lochs Forest Drive - I highly recommend that for a getaway! YAM xx
Hi Guys, I luv your podcast 😊 Gemma can you tell me what boots you are wearing in this podcast? They look really light weight and might solve my problems. Enjoy your travels xx
Great video guys, looks a class trip. Just to your point about the trail being really quiet. We're just back from a hiking/wild camping the Way between Kingussie and Aberlour and aside from cyclists, we didn't see anyone else on the trail basically the entire trip. No signs that anyone had been camping either. I think it's just fairly unknown when compared to the WHW/Southern Uplands/GGW, etc.
Guys, this was spectacular, such a great filming! 👏👏👏
Thanks so much!
😁 glad you enjoyed it!
The Cairngorms are so beautiful. Making a note on the Speyside Way for our next visit.
They are arent they?! Cannot get enough and we just feel at home when we are back there 😊 glad to hear it! You will love your visit

Surprised a new awning came before getting a reverse camera and the crumbling rear end repaired.
Haha it’s all priorities 😂 funny story about that coming up soon though 😆
Another Sunday morning with my wake up cup of coffee ☕ enjoying a great video of Gemma and Campbell. Thank you friends for making my day!

Aw how lovely! Will need to check it out if we are in the area then 😁 it sounds perfect!
We done train from Kingussie to Aviemore and back. Great area
It’s so beautiful! And so quiet as well when you get off the beaten track ☺️
Great video, this area is local to me and I still haven't done the Speyside Way south of Aviemore. On my list now.
It’s such a beautiful part of the cairngorms that doesn’t get a lot of credit 🥰 means it’ll be nice and quiet for you!

So, Speyside. Just how many distilleries do you, er, 'pass' along the way? 🥃😋
Haha unfortunately none on this route as they are all to the north of aviemore! We will need to head out north next time and sample a few 😆
🥰🥰
