Yep. Ford GT. You can race it. You can break it. Parts are fairly cheap and the car still goes up in value.
2 options: Steve nailed one the Spyker c8 is absolutely gorgeous or an Alfa 8c, and at 250k you could probably find a convertible.

My neighbor has a Spyker C8. He rarely drives it but one time I saw it parked on a busy street. It was so painful to hear people guess what it is. Even heard one dude say “it’s a diesel, I can tell.” Anyways, cool car but probably a pain in the ass to own.
The Spyker is a gorgeous car unless the roof is up on it. The roof makes it look like a blobfish with a birth defect.

Eh, these guys do know their shit. Good choices though, my only thing with the GT3’s really do hold their value and even old ones sell for no less than 150K so a nice one easily passes 250K. And yes this is for 2005 or newer.

@@carguy0389 I have had one since last year. 22k miles . Drove from Vegas to Miami last year. Drove from West Palm to Ohio this year. Only had it in to the dealer once because it reported low steering fluid level.

I wasn’t that interested in watching this because the budget seems so out of range. But a couple minutes in I realize I love these videos because of the huge range and variety of machines. It is easy to jump to a super car in this range, but vintage race cars and classic cars too...another awesome video!

I'm surprised I was the only one who went with a high-mileage 458 Speciale.
My favorite other choices were 911R, Ford GT, 720S, 600LT, future Tesla Roadster and manual Scuderia! Many great answers.
Very useful to see the breakdown from Premier FS on the realistic costs at the end as well.
I love the selections offered. My thoughts brought me to a great Aston Martin V12 grand tourer such as low-mile 2011-2012 DBS 6-speed or newer V12 Vantage S 6-speed. There would still be enough left over for an early 70s BMW E9 (3.0 CS or CSi) with a 5-speed upgrade.

EVO XD Even with the decline in price over the past 2 yrs from the peak of the 991R hype + factoring in today’s Covid world, 911R is still going to cost $300k-$350k....but I agree on the holistic experience of this car being a contender to the other picks.
I own a 2019 570S Track Pack that's absolutely a joy to drive. 5,600 miles and counting. That being said, I miss the sound of a screaming Ferrari and I just checked prices on the F12's and was shocked to see 2015-16's in the 199K range. That's a badass car you can take on long drives/roadtrips, with a screaming N/A Ferrari V12. Bliss.

for me it would be 2 cars. a 5th gen viper ACR goes for anywhere from 150-200k, plus a 96-97 Viper GTS inthe classic blue with white stripes, which you can get for anywhere from 50-80k depending on milage and condition. some shrewd negotiation and you can get a stack of tires for the ACR for when you burn through them at the track
