Old McLaren's are perfectly fine, when they have miles on them. The low mileage cars have issues, just like every other exotic with low miles.

eSnacks actually a pretty cool idea. One of my customers, (I build $5-$8 million dollar homes occasionally much more expensive) spent about $200,000 on some crazy exotic carbon fiber Porche. We teased him and said he could have bought half a dozen used Boxters for the same price. So he bought three of them almost as a joke to tease us.

Don't get me wrong, I love Mclarens. But hearing all the reliability horror stories, I definitely wouldn't have the balls to buy one with 70k on the clock.
If you're patient enough you can probably find a good one.

I wholeheartedly feel that the best sports car you can buy right now for under $60k is a Porsche 911 turbo, specifically the 997 generation, boasting one of the best Porsche built engines. 480 horsepower and nearly 500 lbft of torque, coupled with a 0-60 in less than 3.7 seconds sounds perfect to me!
Agreed, was wondering why 997 wasn't mentioned, and all 996 cars were mentioned. 997 I guess is still a bit tough to find "easily" 60 or less. You can find some high mileage manuals, or tip cars but they might be a bit tougher to consider a "sub 60" car. I did just see a 997.2 TurboS Cab with 105k for 59k. If mileage isn't something that scares someone that is a crap load of car for the money.

I didn’t realize the Bentley GT’s were that cheap... Still way beyond my means, but a very enticing choice for those with the $’s.
Sounds nice until you realize it's 1k when the window won't roll down, 3k for a wheel barring and so on. People that can't afford repairs will defer maintenance then try to pass it on to someone else. There is a reason why certain luxury vehicles tank in price on the used market.
I've been thinking about this question and I landed on a 2014 Audi S8 that's selling now for around 34k. I would have a ton of money left over to go crazy at Renntech. The S8 is a full sized luxury sedan that has room for a family, and stock it's rocking over 500 hp.

Some really great selections, and a great video! I'm actually in that market. I wouldn't have even considered an Aston, or Bentley, but there a ton of car for the money. The only problem is most of your interview-ees are capable of maintaining an older exotic where I'd just get bent over at a dealer. For that reason. I like the 718 Cayman (CPO), M4 Comp, or if feeling super wild F-Type R (CPO defintely!). Do more of these, you got interesting friends.

I loved to hear what all of our friends of VINWiki have for their ideal car in that range. But if the question was "sports car", there were a few that took some liberties with the term IMO. But hey.....you'd probably get 10 different definitions of the term if you asked 10 people. So...... what do I know, anyway?
It’s hard to beat the C8. The GTR was first to mind. Something that wasn’t mentioned is the 2009-2012 911 Carrera S. It’s analog and the right size. I liked the suggestion of the Bentley Super Sport and the Aston Martin Virage.

Seeing the BMW i8 value creep down to 60k, this hurts since I bought one at 78k, but I think it's a great value right now for anyone considering one. I agree with Hoovie. Get an i8 and get a pretty reliable exotic that you can service by yourself. I've been doing that for the past year and uploading the steps to my channel.
