Hearing all these Carrera GT stories reminds me of mine. The only Carrera GT I've ever seen in person was in Ft. Lauderdale in about 2010-11. I was headed to Total Wine and Publix before an event at the Bahia Mar and parked nose-to-nose with a CGT with the roof panel removed. We came out of Total Wine, dropped off our stuff and the car was still there. While we were in Publix waiting to check out with our purchases I heard thunder and the rain started. It was coming down so hard it sounds like a waterfall was pounding the roof of the store. It was one of those Florida frog chokers, fast, furious and violent. It was gone almost as quickly as it arrived. I looked at my wife and said, "Oh shit. I wonder if the owner of the Carrera GT managed to get the car under cover, or the roof on the car." We hurried outside and walked to our car. Nope. The owner hadn't gotten it out of the rain. I was stunned. He had the doors open and was soaking up over a half inch of water from the floorboard, using towels that a friendly 911 Turbo owner, who had parked right next to him while we were in Publix, happened to have in his car. I asked him if he needed any help. His response? "Nah. I just bought this car and knew this might happen. It's the price you have to pay sometimes when you own a car like this. It'll be fine." He was so calm and reserved about the whole thing. Absolute Zen. It was amazing, and so was the car.

Ed is literally has a 12 year old car enthusiast mindset, Bugatti or Lamborghini or bust! Just the most iconic and the fastest, that’s it! Cmon lmao
Amen Jared!!!!!
Toyota 2000GT 😍
A) Theres a journalist called Benny Newsman? winning.
B)Randy Savage:"an f40!"...next clip, "you cant quite get an f40 ...so" (an of course Randy wasnt the only one to say f40...i mean...who wouldnt want one?)
C) Indeed the "right" choices from the stanpoint of "fun yet usable" are 918/veyron/p1....just have maintenance money
D) im glad that such oddballs as "camaro zl1" and "toyota 2000gt" where included....300sl and miura are nice (i love them) but its nice that theres "outside the box" options.
E) "i have a 20s Bentley,so what?" legend...thats actually a really nice choice.
F) I agree with John Ficarra....959 is perfection...918 is more current (i guess pun intended? recent/hybrid), CGT is hot on the market and its also iconic,f40 is usually favorited more....but 959 man....not too old,not to new, fast yet usable, pedigree,Bill Gates had one (billionare status)....get a Canepa 800 hp one and you are golden.
Gemballa Mirage or a 918, 959, or a DBR9 GT1 would be my pick. Not sure how much the DBR9 is but gt1 is probably up there.
Dylan Orluck my hero for saying 964 carrera RS
