Just bought a 2016 mcs and the stripes aren't looking great. Planned on pulling them off and putting different stripes down the middle. Hesitant on doing that if the car paint is faded(don't want it to be visible where the old stripes were). Did you have any discolor after pulling the stripes?
Those can definitely be challenging. I would have a spray bottle on hand with water and a little baby shampoo, you also need a white or blue card (amzn.to/3xAE5q0) and some microfiber towels, as well as a heat gun. Take it easy when installing ,try and keep your tools off of the paint as much as possible, over apply the fluid, wetter is better. Take your time, because you're not in a race, and do it indoors (garage or similar if possible because wind is your enemy).
I’ve got the same stripes on my bonnet currently however one of is peeling off due to washing it over so many time. Can I just put a new one on top of it rather than peeling old one off ?

yea i did, but my new stripes were really similar in size to the old ones and i was able to cover up ~98% of the faded area.

I think you would notice the edge and thickness. I would personally remove the old if you could.
did you use the curved or straight stripes?
