I’ve had mine since October of 23’ and really love it. Great styling and also an excellent transmission. Such easy shifting. While it certainly isn’t powerful, the power it has is ample enough for my needs.
Hey! I own a 2023 Civic Si and its usually good to let the car idle for atleast 10/15 seconds before turning it off. This helps the oil circulate through to turbo and engine!
I'm planning to learn manual to get the Si. At 5:08 you go from 5th gear to 3rd gear? Is downshifting like that OK? Feel like i would panic, hit the brakes to slow down (and shift to neutral maybe) coming up to the roundabout like that.
I have an 8th gen SI but I’m sure it’s the same thing. But as long as you rev match then you should be fine. I go from 4th to 2nd and stuff like that all the time but if you aren’t that comfortable with rev matching yet, what I used to do was go from 4th to neutral, slow down, and then tap the gas so that I can get my revs high enough to go into 2nd.
If you rev it enough it’s fine. I don’t know which gen you want but a lot of new manuals do it for you automatically. However you should learn proper down shifting regardless. I wouldn’t skip gears when starting out. Best way to learn is to just do it, nothing else will be as good.
Canadian spec Si is fully loaded like a Civic sedan Touring trim in US. This makes it a much better proposition than the Integra 6 speed in Canada since with the exception of els 3d studio speakers, jewel headlights, and fully led tail lights, you have everything in the Canadian spec Si and it is cheaper (not sure if they also get marked up over there)
@@kikomanster8188Ya I agree. In Canada, the regular Integra (not Type S) with the manual transmission is almost 10k more. The SI is far better value wise.
I’m looking to get a 2024 red civic si and the chances are SLIM to none as Honda dictates what dealerships get what colors! I have to just settle for what I get!!! That sucks!!!!!
@@jamielannoo4250 ohh got you… that kinda makes sense. In Canada the Integra is literally a rip off because you get most if not all of those features on the fully loaded Civic and it costs less.
Lmaoo that’s a good one. Ya I don’t get why you guys don’t get these extra features. They should have the same vehicle for the North American market imo m!
@@tyhyhh In Canada, the regular Integra (Not type S) with the manual transmission is almost 10k more and it’s essentially the same car. The Civic SI is far better value wise. Not sure about the states tho.
@@scottarnold8637 that’s shitty dude…. I don’t get why they didn’t give yall the same features in the US. It doesn’t make any sense to have separate features for the North American market lol.
In Canada, dealers aren’t allowed to markup over MSRP. However they do find ways to add to the price lol But I’m sure you can find this vehicle at MSRP
For those wondering why the Canadian si gets more features , Honda put out a press release “ you yankee cowards couldn’t fight us without nukes , we will snub you however we can , ”

Too much road noice every time you step out of the car.
I LOVE THIS CAR!! THE SI AND THE TYPE R ARE THE BEST-LOOKING VERSIONS OF THIS CAR!!!!
Honda did a great job with the exterior, especially the new hatch. It looks so good.
The sport looks exactly the same
Gotta love the stick shift! I'll never go back to automatic transmission.
Manuals are super engaging. Especially this SI, it was really nice
Me neither.
ME TOOO

Nice video! Love my 23 Si!
They are awesome daily drivers! 23 & 24 model years are identical.
That’s for sure! Wish I had the Canada spec! Still love everything about it though
I wanna be cool like you when I grow up 👌
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it man
Nice driving

Honda missed the mark by not offering a red/black leather option on SI, i can never go back to cloth seats 😢
I never knew the Si came with the tach and speedometer displayed like that. In the United States, it's not fully digital?
Nope, our speedometer is analog.
In Canada we get the digital gauge cluster. The SI has most of the stuff you get on the fully loaded civic touring.
We get the poverty spec in the US for the same price. Sucks.
I just got mine last Dec, too bad living in Malaysia, Honda Msia offers MT only for Type-R (FL5). Mine & the rest of variants are only available in AT
That’s shitty…. But hey you got an awesome car that’s still fun to drive
Wished the us spec came with the full digital cluster

I LOVE MY NEW SI 24
Waiiit!!!! I got a 2024 si and my cluster is not all digital 😮😮
This is the Canadian Spec.
Are you from the states? Didn’t know that the American ones don’t have a digital cluster. That’s weird.

The Canadian civics get more features in general than the Americans ones… maybe it’s because they are all made in Ontario
@@chrismc2288It’s wierd tho. You would think they would be the same for the North American market.
Would trade the moonroof for heated seats/steering wheel (US model).
That’s shitty how y’all don’t get them in the US.
I’m looking to get a 2024 red civic si and the chances are SLIM to none as Honda dictates what dealerships get what colors! I have to just settle for what I get!!! That sucks!!!!!
Ahhh that shitty man. IMO red is one of the best colours for the SI.
@@carswithumer Does it draw more attention than the other colors y'think?
This is the Canadian version that actually has features.
The US version is garbagio and is stripped to the bone
Ya that’s shitty….they should have kept same the cars for NA market.
Yeah to get those features we basically need to get the Integra

i'm so mad at all the cool extras the canadians get. if i can get tim hortons in ny i should be able to get heated seats...
Lmaoo that’s a good one. Ya I don’t get why you guys don’t get these extra features.

I hear the 2025 model will have
lucky you got the canadian version of the SI...
What camera do you record with?
I recorded this with a GoPro 11 mini!
Canadian spec needs to come to US just make it the standard
Its the Canadian Spec?
What if you buy an Si in Canada and drive it to the US?
Ya this is the Canadian Spec. As for the importing vehicle into the US, there is tons of info on google about that.
Just get an integra

Ayo is the car leaking oil at the beginning?!
I wish the US spec SI had the same features🤦🏽♂️
That’s stupid how they don’t lol. You would think they would have the same features for the North American market

Bouncy ass ride . Mabey they left the shipping blocks in the springs.
Whats your favourite part about the 2024 civic SI ?
Was there a markup for this car?
In Canada, dealers aren’t allowed to markup over MSRP. However they do find ways to add to the price lol
But I’m sure you can find this vehicle at MSRP
I am picking up my 24 si here in Vancouver next week. I got it for 800 below msrp
Damn that’s the Canadian version the us version doesn’t get shit
Ya the Canadian version is fully loaded. Shitty how the US version doesn’t get all the stuff.

Agreed. Going to move my filming to a different "less quieter" spot.
Nice car but for the money get wrx will rip the tiny engine apart
Damn that’s a oil leak you got
SI= I couldn’t afford the Type R 😢
Si= Wise financial decision.
There’s almost a 16k “CAD” difference in price and that’s if you can get the Type R at MSRP lol
Nothing wrong with the SI, It’s a great daily.
Si = slight improvement 😂
Super Impotent
