    Everybody has their "thing". I have $200+ Japanese kitchen knives, I'm not about to begrudge a guy for having a $120 titanium bit driver in his pocket. Hell, I'd probably ask him where he got it and seriously consider picking on up myself... which I still am... lol

    Take a look at the SAK Cyber Tool. It sounds similar to what you described. BTW, their pocket wrench looks pretty awesome too. Just a little pricy for me.

      I have had a cyber tool for about 15+ years. I highly recommend it.

    I'm surprised leatherman just doesn't shove together something around the size of say the handle of the surge (bigger or smaller than it as well) that uses both of their bit drivers along with the t-shank adapter for t-shank saws/files (could likely fit 3 or 4 diver/adapter like leatherman tools along with a set of bits in it).

    • @txtoolcrib
      @txtoolcrib  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always thought that would be a viable option myself.

    I've really loved the design of this and the wrench they have. But I'd never pay that much for it. Way too overpriced. But very cool!

    • @txtoolcrib
      @txtoolcrib  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t blame you in the slightest. I wish Leatherman would make a reasonably priced model of this design concept.

  • @007Entropy

    As clever as this is, it's way overpriced. The Swiss cybertool does the best job of incorporating bits and driver in a small package. I wish LM would incorporate their bit set into the Tread. If you could slide bits outa your watch band it would allow Wave/Charge users more capability without needing to carry in a sheath.

    • @txtoolcrib
      @txtoolcrib  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the idea of incorporating the bit kit into a Tread-like tool. The problem would be engineering it so that it would be aesthetically pleasing.

    Check out the bit vault by Lever Gear. It's smaller and a significantly more useful product. They are $50 and well worth the money.

    Perhaps someday...

    Wow for even the price of the fiberglass model you can get a cybertool S and have more functions in a similar size.

  • @CircuitsAndStrings

    That’s a really cool design. I also wish that there was a more affordable version. I would probably use it to store some less common bits like security torx bits.

      I think I have some good news for you. I was just contacted by this company on a possible budget friendly version of this design that will be released fairly soon. I'll get a video out about it when I have more information.

    Another great idea I like the wrench,and frame lock screwdriver as well.. I'm going to wait until the Chinese company they have making this stuff rips off their designs and sells them for half the price..or they start American production..

    Agree on the bit extender, would be nice if it would have some sort of holder on the tool. Loose parts goes missing and eventually found in the washing machine. Cool though. Thank's

    Great video, thank you. I was originally going to buy one of them for my edc bag to go along with my Leatherman Kick. But I couldn’t justify the price so I brought a Leatherman Skeletool with bit kit and just took my Kick out.
    Worked out to be cheaper. Plus I get more bits.

    I've tried my friends, and they're pretty cool and made really well. But I found a cruder but effective version for $10 at Lowe's, and I've Loved keeping it in the car ever since. Doesn't look pretty, but same idea. Theyre no longer being sold online, but come about occasionally in store.
