    I carried a knife almost every day when I was a pup. Once I joined the Royal Navy, I carried a Leatherman. Have done everyday since. Use it every day, 10 times a day. Would lost without it. 😎🇬🇧⚓️

    Dude I don't know if how many people have ever asked you this but most of your EDC I really enjoy. But trying to collect all of these articles sometimes can be a real pain in the butt. I would really love to see you collect these items and offer it out as a package deal to us that have no sense of direction or the ability to search the internet to find these interesting articles that you put in your edcs. I'd really love to be one of your customers because a lot of the EDC that you have I really enjoy and would love to have

    Whatever Leatherman you get, I always suggest getting one with replaceable wire cutters. Years ago I messed up the wire cutters on my first Leatherman trying to cut some tough barbed wire. The pliers never worked well after that and I was reminded of my mistake every time I used it. Eventually I got a Surge but now I’m so careful with the cutters that I’ll probably never have to replace them.

    • @MrJay8633
      @MrJay8633 ปีที่แล้ว

      send it in they will replace the jaws under warranty,i worked at Leatherman 28 years ago and Tim Leatherman has a very good warranty repair dept that is fast ,ive never seen them deny a repair or replacement.

    • @notreallyme425
      @notreallyme425 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrJay8633 I just watched a video where a guy sent in 2 Leathermans that were really old and beat up pretty bad. He even said he’d consider them abused and didn’t expect the warranty to cover them. Leatherman sent him 2 brand new tools, amazing! Unfortunately mine was stolen 😢 But that’s ok, mine was from the late 90’s and it gave me an excuse to upgrade to a better model!

    Nice kit! It would take up almost no space to slide a couple bandaids in there. Since I became a dad I've always kept a couple in my wallet and have saved the day multiple times when we were out somewhere and one of the kids got any minor scrapes.

    When it comes to pens I almost exclusively use Rite-in-the-Rain pens. We used to get them at the PX before our deployment to Iraq. The PX price really wasn’t that far off the actual retail price of the pens. Here’s the good news for you. The replacement cartridge for those pens is exactly the same size and shape as your Fisher Space Pens. So you could buy a pen for $15, use the pen and see if it fits your needs, and if it doesn’t you can use the insert and spring for your other pen.

They are a bit pricey but they are high quality and made in Germany. And for the multi-tool I would recommend checking out the SOG poweraccess deluxe, I find it thin for the number of tools, and the leverage the gears give you for the pliers make gripping things super easy. And for storing things like this at home or at a hotel or in a vehicle, I love my Pelican R60 Ruck Case.

    Not finished with the video yet but felt I needed to say this. I'm pretty sure I have commented on one of your videos about this befor. When it comes to flashlights. I will take longer run time over brightness. Company's are so focused one brighter and brighter flashlights. When I was younger this experience set my preference in my mind. I loved to go rock climbing. I used to climb at great falls VA. Good for just messing around. But not paying attention because of the full moon at my back. I just climbed until I was to weak to go any farther knowing I would just make the walk along the trail back. But the walk back in the woods where it was pitch black was hell. And took me forever. I would have rather had a flashlight say 50 to 100 lumens that would have made the whole trip back safe over a 20000000 lumen light that would have lasted me 1/4 of the way back. Sorry for the long post. Just sharing a thought most people forget about. How often do you really need to be able to see a mile ahead of you over whats right in front of you.

      here are a few substitutions. Start with Gerber... Gerber EAB is a mini utility knife for about $15. Gerber Shard or Gerber Mullet is a little pry bar multi(ish) tool for $5 to $10. You can use almost any multi-tool and there are many options that are more affordable. Flashlight prices are all over the place but ultimately you can find one of adequate size with acceptable output in the $15 to $25 dollar range. Coast HP1 is a AA battery flash light that puts out 190 lumins for under $20. That is a lot of light for the money. They also make a smaller Inspection beam for $10 and the concentration of lumins (although fewer) is very nice. True Utility has a lot of small and micro tools in the $10 range and they offer free shipping once you hit $25 so that is a fantastic option. You can outfit a "pretty ok EDC" using these resources and get it done for the cost of one or two of the tools in the BEST DAMN EDC.

I live downtown Atlanta and I've never concealed-carried, even during midnight mountain bike training rides. The more I see these "EDC" videos, the more questions I have. Are these truly "daily carries?" or are they thrown in a backpack during something like a get-away weekend trip? I can definitely see where something like this would come in handy during a van-life adventure.

    Just wondering if the bit was held in magnetically or not I have one of those cheap pen like tools with bits that are held in magnetically and they surprisingly stay in the tool. Maybe that is why it came out like that but if they don't have the bits held in magnetically that's something to suggest they improve on their product which still is nice btw.

    Have you done a TSA compliant EDC? With some of the bladeless options out there you opinion would be interesting.

    That's a great 'EDC' tool kit ... do you keep a spare utility knife blade in there? Probably room for it.

    Your watch caught my eye. What is it? It’s a good looking Panda dial. Thanks.

    For a Spring use one out of a throwaway pen.... that's what I did with that zebra I got from you.... The spring that came with the zebra was too strong and long....

    Is there anything that you could recommend to replace the RB pocket probe? They are disconnected and I like the idea of having the tweezers

    Good luck finding that bit. You'll have to let us know how long it takes and how far it went.

    Contact hinderer for a replacement spring and tell them that yours is worn out.. they should either give you one or let you buy one for a low low price (probably just cost of shipping).

    Just picked up a Maxpedition mini. The zipper seems to stick a bit around the side of the pouch (the longest run). In your experience, is this something that will improve with time/use? Or should I replace this one?

    would be nice to see a second pouch that size for a first aid kit.
