I've never found a better strap than Black Rapid. I am now the proud owner of two. Versatile and rugged. I love them.

Totally agreed! I love all the small updates in the Breathe series too. Not necessary things but nice touches, shows they think and care about the user as well :)

I use this strap for carrying my 'lightweight' gear and its great. It came with the tether strap at no extra cost. For people that are concerned about the QR clip - I doubt it would come undone on its own but I just fastened it with a small cable tie. Easy fix.

Yeah I think people worry a bit too much. I actually got the tether strap included with another strap I got recently so they might have just started including that with all their straps, which would be a good idea.

A good move which makes sense when people start rumours that could damage the brands reputation.I haven't had any problems at all, particularly the 'bouncing around'. I tried to imagine what would cause such bouncing.I sometimes use mine with an 'L' bracket attached so the connection point is different but I still don't have any problems.

The QR I worry about with user error. Why even include it, completely unnecessary. One solid connection would suffice.

I wanted to like the Peak Design straps, and tried both the slide and slide lite - I just prefer how the camera sits with the blackrapid. I think they're both imperfect systems, but are both really well designed - the perfect strap is as impossible as the perfect camera! It just comes down to personal preference in the end.

Completely agreed! :) Both with their own strengths and weaknesses... it's just like trying to find the perfect camera bag haha.

Thanks for the reviews! I'm just very concern with the plastic clip in the back, looks like a major flaw to me, a weakness, that could be opened by accident, or because of the material that could break. Looking for a solution to secure this part. Did you have any issue with it? Thanks!

I can see what you mean for sure, but the plastic seems more than strong enough in my experience. For comfort reasons as well I wouldn't recommend this strap for use with anything overly heavy though, and the plastic clips on their more padded straps are less easy to accidentally push. I've never had any problems at all personally though, never felt worried about it but I guess you could probably tie a little strap between the loops on either side of the clip as a kind of back up anchor for extra peace of mind. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching :)

Thank you for your answer! Happy with it in the end, will use it in a trip soon to test it extensively :)

I hate how the rapids let the camera bounce on your hip because of its only point of connection being on the bottom center. I wish they made a strap more like the peak design slide which holds the camera very still on your side. The PD slide also has its downsides as well. But currently I would rather have the PD slide over the BR.
Love your reviews though Scott, thank you for bringing us another one.

Thanks for watching! :) I do love the PD strap as well, like you said they both have their pros and cons. They should collaborate and make the world's most perfect camera strap! haha :)
