so I saw the play time and I was like "aw what a cute fish" then I stuck my hand in my oscar tank and now Im bleeding
hggh White When I change the water for my Fish I put him in a separate bucket and play with him. He becomes really quite and does not bite.
lmao... my flowerhorn will let me rub him for about 10 seconds then turn right around and bite me lol but he is a baby now, so no blood

Hi, is it too bad to disconnected the air pump filter just at night ...say 6 hours? The noise is driving my family nuts and “cant sleep” and the ways to silent it like wrap it in a towel, that ive seen makes me nervous that can start a fire 😭 ( I have 1 betta in a 3 gallon)

Good night, how are you? How much do you leave the temperature of the flowerhorn? In many places talking from 28 to 31 and some from 24 to 28 and mine is at 29 and my flower is very aggressive, but whenever I do tpa or in rare situations that lack energy at home and the temperature drops, he It is very quiet and peaceful.

Spandan Sardar it depends on the frame of reference calling something ugly. Im sure lots of species think humans are ugly. We have no fur. We walk different etc.

Why do you prefer to use a sponge filter over hob or canister for a fish that big? Wouldn't hob or canister work better ? Or do sponge filters work better then the rep people give them ?

So, I also have a pet flowerhorn and I would turn off the aquarium lights at night. Next morning, I went to check my flowerhorn and he seems so pale and his black spots are darker and some stress bars are visible. His eyes are paler and he would swim fast. Is that normal since he got used to no light for a long time ?

Hey RedLine, my flowerhorn is 3 yrs old and his colors have faded. Plz suggest the best solution. First his colors faded from body and now it is fading in tail. Plz help

Water changes, add aquarium salt, make sure to keep up with water quality. Check water ph regularly.
RedLine Aqua Hey RL, pop eye is cured with medicine and I've added aquarium salt 4 times but the color is still faded. It's getting bigger and now it is not even eating food. I change water every 3 days, remove 30 to 40% and add 6 spoons of salt. But still not helping. Plz advise.

Takes time and patience. Usually, just understand your flowerhorn. If he's the overly aggressive type, it is much harder to tame them.

iamnsh1 haha, just took time and patients I guess. He was aggressive too but eventually calmed down. Now he loves to be petted.

My fh is a few months old and is still a bit aggressive. only been bit once but you can tell he likes the attention.
