- Hello people! Excuse my "hmms" lol. Here are some tips that may help noobs before buying a flowerhorn. It may seem stupid but I remember not knowing these stuff in the beginning. Hopefully it was helpful! REMEMBER THAT THESE ARE MY TIPS SO DON'T HATE ON ME LOL.

Breeders measure the length of the body excluding the fin because fancy tailed fish would be twice the size that they actually are, this includes goldfish, Koi, livebearers, betta, blue rams, multiple SA cichlids etc etc

Really great video, I would love to have a Flower horn, just need to make room for a larger tank.
I used to breed those things. my males were insane protecting the babies until I moved them to separate tank.

So i went to shop and buy some more cichlids for my tank and I took 3 home and I’m just now realizing that one is a flowerhorn he was tiny with no bump so now I hope he’ll get along with my other fish, I was never into them but now I want to keep him😟

what if my FH is in a tank with a divider of other kind of fishes will it trigger it to feel uneasy???
I've done that before but it can or cannot stress your FH out. If your FH is aggressive, it can stress him out due to always wanting to attack the other fish. Your other fish can be stressed too because it maybe scared.

How to care flowerhorn fish?
Do i need a heater ?? I live in the philippines , temperatures here is about 32-35
peter parker if you want a consistent water temperature, you should have a heater. It would great if you still have a heater running. Heaters are automatic anyways!
ano katangahan yan. common sense na lang yan. pag gumaganda flowerhorn mo kht wala heater edi ok lang na wala.
Sir, kung ako sa inyo, hahayaan ko lang na walang heater since 30-35 naman ung temperature eh. Siguro kapag nasa may bandang bundok kay like Baguio, for e.g., you might want to use a heater.
I keep kamfas and zenzhous here in the philippines, sometimes we have sudden heavy rains and typhoons. Dude get a heater. Every morning and afternoons 26 - 28°C 28 - 30°C in summer days.
But at night drops below 26°C all year round. Heater ka kapatid.

Anushree Singha you need to check your ph level. If your water is around 80 degrees, bump it up to 85-86. Check if his poop are white. Change 30 percent water every 5 days. Add some stress reducer medicine too.

Looks like you have siblings mixed from both parents with mixed kamfa traits and zenzhou traits.
KamfaZZ so you end up having different types of males. And 1 female.
I have to say the last one is very beautiful I'm willing to invest my time with him and groom him it shows alot of quality real kamfa right there.

Sure % 100 way to tell male from female.Markings on dorsal fin female.No markings male.
not 100% i have a male flowerhorn with black marking in its dorsal fin.
That works for trimacs butnot always for FH. But a flowerhorn is just a crippled Trimaculatus
to om I would not put it like that. They are breed for their personality and color but most importantly their large nuchal hump. For some “high grade” flowerhorns I will admit it can be crippling but for most who have big humps but not too big I would but it that way all. I personally love flowerhorn.

@@ethanfallon2576 the personalty of an floherhorn is not that much different of an trimac or citrunellum or hooga, chanco or labiatus. But they are deformed, short body, bended spine, unnatural big hump and short snout. Thats the truth.
