Prior to disconnecting any airbag electronics, is is probably safer to disconnect the vehicle battery. Some vehicles will create an error code that a consumer OBDII code reader cannot reset. The video was very helpful and answered my questions. Thanks!

Thank you. I need to install sheep skin rear seat covers and in my experience it’s easier to just loosen or remove the seats to get the seat covers securely and properly installed. Mines a 2011 rx 350.
My son accidentally filled diesel into the car... this is helpful info since rite underneath that seat is the fuel pump and this is where you can access and pump out the bad fuels...
I pulled my rear seat out of my '13RX just so I could get access to the huge mess the prior owner's toddler made under it. There are 2 cables that release the seat backs - they connect to the handles on the sides of the car in the rear cargo area, so the seats can fold. These cables are very difficult to disconnect. They have a very complicated coupler. And you have to unplug the airbags. I recommend disconnecting the battery first. Reattaching the cables is a pain as well.

Do you think you'd be able to get a carpet Shampoo under the back seats without fully removing them??

you are correct. After I disconnected the cable I got the error code c1391 abnormal leak in the accumulator and I don't know what caused it.

That latch cable is impossible to get off. Th3 wire was simple. Any tip how to seperate the cable under the seat after pulling the plastic horse shoe?
