The fact that no one has landed a flip trick (without a grab) since is a testament to how insane that kickflip actually is. Its criminal how badly Joslin was robbed of that tre flip. And not just his truck breaking, but also that it underwent renovation not long after, therefore robbing him of another chance to get it

I remember my friend telling me about this guy from the east coast who supposedly kickflipped el toro. Back then rumors spread about tricks, but you didn't know if anything was true or not until you saw the footage because you had to wait a while until the skate video came out. At best you would see a photo or sequence in a magazine as a teaser for the clip. So we checked out his most recent video parts and one of his hammers was kickflipping a huge set. Somewhere around the 15 or 16 stair mark like Dave talked about. When we saw that, my friend and I both looked at each other and said "I believe it."

I randomly bumped into Dave when I was in California back in 2015, I was fanning out so hard and he was so nice to me- I told him I was visiting from Canada escaping the cold weather and he smiled and said “Sunny side up bro!” After he pushed off some kid next to me was like “Who was that?” And I was like, “That’s Dave Bachinsky- the dude that kickflipped El Toro.” The kid looked at me with wide eyes, I skated off and I heard him behind me say to his friend, “Holy shit that’s the guy who kickflipped El Toro!” I’ll never forget that haha

I've never seen anyone else attempts or tricks other than what I've saw on here.. but the amount of SOLID tries.. meaning he landed where the board should have every time.. but the board didn't make it to him every time. That's solid 100% commitment every time, thinking "I got this" but the board not committing with him. You can usually tell if someone lands like they planned on the board being there or not.. this man was expecting to land it before he had it in the bad. SALUTE MY MAN! History in the making for sure.
