Sheckler’s kickflip is the most memorable for me. Hats off to Dave Bachinsky and especially Ryan Decenzo because those dudes still put it down like it’s nothing! Mad respect

They’re both still willing to go hard but they need some help. Most guys that get older don’t want that smoke, myself included. Concrete only gets harder the older you get.
Something about the speed of that el toro kickflip and the way he the overhead camera angle shows him catching the board makes the look of that kickflip unbeatable to me. but overall the Costco gap kickflip is insane if only for the fact that almost no one else has even gone back to fuck with it. also I love the way these guys talk to eachother. so much respect man. Sheckler's right the next greatest is coming down the line!
people dont want to skate a spot that is a glorified loading dock and big drop. just doesnt appeal to most people or look that great. bachinsky was going as fast as one can go on a skateboard to flip el toro, sheckler was just cruising at a medium speed because its only 5 feet to clear compared to el toros 20.
@@sharongreffin1715 that’s funny I feel exactly opposite, when I saw shecklers kick flip about 10 years ago and didn’t care about skating it was memorable, massive and gnarly going over a fence. The fact that nobody has been back to the “Costco gap” since Ryan Sheckler did it shows, that gap was the hardest nobody is willing to give it another try lol
stoked to see all the Reynolds call outs. Reynolds kickflipping grass gaps got me into skating. Shecklers costco gap is insane but it never inspired me, it looked like torture. Andrew always made big flips looks so stylish
Many of these dudes say such stupid answers to "the most famous kickflip" due to bias. obviously its not one of those old clips. has to be shecklers since hes had most fans of the bunch outside hardcore skaters
“Obviously it’s not one of those old clips”? Those were all big deals. And Franks down Wallenberg wasn’t that long before Bachinskys, which itself is almost 20 years ago. Your comment only makes sense if you heard of non of the older kickflips. I started skating in 2002 and Gonzs Mobflip and Marchovics down Carlsbad Gap were legendary. It seems to me that newer skaters just don’t care enough about skateboarding history.
Storied man... you guys are smashing it. Top tier skate history with Top tier skaters. Great editing. Great fan engagement. Great vibe. You're doin it right. Salute. Wanna see some more Penny on here. but im biased as a Flip-in limey.. that bowl hip? forgetaboutit... but yeh he had and has the best kickflips- Reynolds are a carbon copy but not quite... ;)
Sheckler's kickflip over that fence drop is bad ass, and Decenzo's double set was insane, bit the most famous kickflip was Mark Gonzales doing that gap in SF in the late 1980s.
So not only the trick itself but that still image of Sheck at Costco is one of the most iconic images of extreme sports I've ever seen. Was that on a Thrasher cover or something?
That Decenzo double set kickflip is ridiculously underrated
It’s nuts

Just two absolute titans, good shit.
💪💪💪
The fact that nobody has been back to the “Costco gap” since Ryan Sheckler did it shows, that gap was the hardest nobody is willing to give it another try lol
💪💪💪
stoked to see all the Reynolds call outs. Reynolds kickflipping grass gaps got me into skating. Shecklers costco gap is insane but it never inspired me, it looked like torture. Andrew always made big flips looks so stylish
@@d_ruggs 💯
I know this isnt in the same category but Keenan Milton's switch flip over the picnic table was a work of art. RIP.
Truth
I enjoy these videos so much!!! All the kick flips in this video are extremely important to skateboarding 🧡
Glad you like them!
Unbelievable that it was filmed by the same bloke. Gotta go Bachinsky though personally
Edit: Okay sheckler, fuck idk
Crazy
This video was sooo good. Enjoyed every second of it :D
🤘🤘🤘
Man i love this type of skate content. thank you dudes
@@Jdkieddj thank you!
Many of these dudes say such stupid answers to "the most famous kickflip" due to bias. obviously its not one of those old clips. has to be shecklers since hes had most fans of the bunch outside hardcore skaters
but yes I get it, they want to include more names in the video
It is all very relative to the eras they grew up skating in
yes thats true, but i meant if we are speaking of the all time most famous@@storied_skateboarding
It seems to me that newer skaters just don’t care enough about skateboarding history.
kuulppa poju lue tän videon titteli eka ja lue mitä määkirjotin udestaan@@nikokaapa
Storied man... you guys are smashing it. Top tier skate history with Top tier skaters. Great editing. Great fan engagement. Great vibe. You're doin it right. Salute. Wanna see some more Penny on here. but im biased as a Flip-in limey.. that bowl hip? forgetaboutit... but yeh he had and has the best kickflips- Reynolds are a carbon copy but not quite... ;)
Thanks so much!!
Thank you Brother. This is history. @@storied_skateboarding
Both gnarly but i got to go with Costco gap.. nobody is stepping to that gap to do anything else.. killer video tho
Thanks!
Sheckler's kickflip over that fence drop is bad ass, and Decenzo's double set was insane, bit the most famous kickflip was Mark Gonzales doing that gap in SF in the late 1980s.
💪💪💪
You got to give it to shecks. Not a single soul has touched the Costco Gap since. There's a reason for that.
🙏🙏🙏
IDK why, every time I see a video about any one of these jumps, I just need to see'em again and again, Amazing!! both of you are history 🏆🏆
🙌🙌🙌
Without Rodney Mullen, none of us would be watching this video
💯
Someone woulda figured it out
@@gabedepina9331but then we’d be watching a different video.
So not only the trick itself but that still image of Sheck at Costco is one of the most iconic images of extreme sports I've ever seen. Was that on a Thrasher cover or something?
🙌💪
most tricks.....
rodney mullen in a florida garage: hello old friend.
Haha
Absolute monsters. MAD respect. The level of potential injury of these two gaps is huge
