Well said here, Taylor. If you don’t need the reach, fully agree FF R6 images will wow your wedding clients a little more than crop sensor images.
A question for you- would you use the R7 for landscape, assuming the shot didn’t require ultra wide field of view? Would like to know how images compare to R5,R6, assuming print sizes up to 30x20

I have a 35 1.8s a 50 1.8s a 85 1.8g and a 135 1.8 sigma would u get a super wide like a 20 1.8s or a 85 1.8s

I’ll stick to full frame but definitely a great camera in its own right.

I think it was 1/10th of a second. F22 because I didn’t have an ND. Was on the RF 24-70 2.8
Canon r7 with Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 art is the best combo for me
Sigma lenses don’t come with rf mount.
I agree, did some events with this combo and the color and sharpness came out wow.... I did notice that in the hard light, direct sun, R7 is not as great as R5 but it still pretty good :)
Taylor can i suggest a video if i may. I have recently purchased your members site (Birthday Edition) and i am fascinated by your presets. Could you put together a video showing how you use them because i notice your pictures look different to mine using the same preset. Cheers Ben

I really love my R6 for photography! For video… not that much, although I think the 4K/60 is stunning.
I love doing wildlife with my R6 and I don't see how R7 could be better at that taking into consideration all of the aspects honestly. That little bit of longer zoom range isn't going to help you as much as having a FF camera and a lens that's like 600mm. But that's my opinion.
If you need to crop to apsc level or beyond anyways then the r6 is 8mp vs 32mp on the r7.

Hi Taylor. Would love to know if you can do a comparison between the R7 + (Canon and Viltrox) speed-booster vs R6 for wedding photography and video. If the R7(+speedbooster) wins it opens up other opportunities. I suppose I want to know if I can use the R7+speedbooster for proffesional wedding and portrait photography? The T7 on it sown opens up other options that is.. very nice to have. But Wedding and portraiture is still most important.
Apparently the canon version will show you an error when you turn the camera on but it works totally fine and better than the viltrox

Sadly will not see a grip for the R7 because there are no contacts in the in battery compartment for a grip.

If your constantly switching between photo and video the R7 seems to do that better
Yah. It’s so nice and ergonomic to make the switch. I for sure prefer it. R6 and R3 on/off switch has always been in a dumb spot

I intend to rent a lens for my next wedding which would you recommend? 35mm, 85mm or a 24-70 etc

@@mandofan2616 24mm fov is wide enough for a wedding. But even if you want to go wider you have the 11-16 and 10-22
John Branch IV uses crop sensor cameras, and he's a fantastic wedding photographer.
