    John Meadows is an American professional bodybuilder and entrepreneur with an intriguing story. While John now boasts a successful career as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and fitness company owner, his journey towards the top was extremely difficult.
    Growing up, John never met his father, and his mother died at an extremely young age. This meant John only had his grandmother to take care of him. When his grandmother tragically passed away in 1999, John was left alone without his family to support him.
    As the years went by, John continued to face new adversities in his life. During his early days in bodybuilding, John suffered from a rare colon disease. After fighting the disease for several months, his colon burst - almost resulting in his death. Luckily, John was quickly rushed to an emergency room where his life was saved. After several months of recovery, John was finally back on his feet.
    Coming back into bodybuilding, John used the very obstacles that almost cost him his life as ‘fuel’ to grow stronger. Ever since he recovered from the colon surgery, John has gone on to become a successful bodybuilder, entrepreneur, and inspiration for many people all over the world.

    The seated leg curl machine is a great piece of equipment.👍 It keeps the tension throughout the entire exercise.😧😁
    Not that it would make a difference to most, but pointing the toes outward and inward for each set helps me achieve a better overall development of my hamstrings.✔️

    Regarding the lunges on the smith machine. I have a Jones machine that has the ability to be unlocked in the horizontal plane. would it be better to use my unlocked Jones machine (light or no weight) than a smith machine so my body moves in a more natural range of motion? or is it unsafe to do so?

    • @brett4420
      @brett4420 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      your feet stance & exercise selection will drastically change what part of leg being worked. Lets say you wanna work quads, a medium/narrow width stance and low on platform for the leg press.... Don't lower weight so low that your ass strats coming off seat. Find your working range where tension stays where you want it.

    Hi john. I just have a question about leg training : are leg extension and leg curl machine bad for the knees? I see very respectable people like jeff cavaliere saying to stay away from them. I want max gains while still keeping my joints healthy, I'm 15 and already have knee discomfort and found that maybe the machines might be contributing to that. Can I get maximun gains without these machines?

      SwellowKing if it hurts don't do them. Leg extension is def not the best for knee health. Leg curl should be okay if you practise good form. If you are really nervous of them, just do glute ham raises

      worry about form/body mechanics before weight. you're too young to be messing with your joints if it hurts stop and adjust your approach.

      For me leg extensions in reps around 20 and dropsets helps to "lubricate" my knee joints so I wont have times of sore knees.

    Awesome tips! Any tips on growing the outer hamstrings? My inner thighs are huge from glute/ham raises but my outer hamstrings are measly!
