Yes, fully appreciate these insights. Thanks for doing a comparable product analysis also (this isn’t in the same range as a 16S or a monster pro). I’m upgrading into the v12-RS market.
Hi Zen, I think it's a valid point that you made regarding the V11. I think alot of people had problems with them and couldn't get them timely repaired. That alone would make me hold off immediately buying their next wheel. So it will be interesting to see how this new wheel pans out with reliability and support.
I would add: the 4 screws look very thin to hold a footplate. I think in time these screws will snap. Especially with heavier guys jumping. Only time will tell.
Screws are not used as you think. They are just here to apply a load on the surfaces where the adjustable pedals and the hangers meet. The fiction due to the tension of the screws is what's holding it together, plus the actual groove that stops it from slipping if not torqued down properly. They are not loaded by shear forced but only by tensile forces. Therefore it is very unlikely that they will fail.
I don't need suspension, so cheaper production cost is good. I like the available speed, and I will decide how fast to go safely. I like the waterproofing, and after seeing a disassembly, it looks well designed inside. The range is good for my needs, so if the quality proves to be OK, it looks like my next wheel... if £ inflation doesn't make it too expensive!
Zen bud, you got my respect! Honesty is the best policy's great as a proverb but most fail to live up to it. We blame & almost always blame others. GW blaming is fashionable currently (for good reason on somethings admittedly) but not when its our own fault & a lot of the time, its our own fault. I'm very impressed to hear it from you & for me, it makes your words believable & trustable (hopefully😅). Subscribed!
Thanks for the vid! Makes me want a skydio, even tho they went insane on the price jump. Of course, I've more trees around here. I think your 3 reasons seemed fairly valid. Lots of good wheels to choose from, lots of decent wheels too.
FWIW, this is a video using a poor prototype of the wheel. Final production is zipped up and good to go. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but this doesn’t exactly showcase what’s real…
I don't like this one Zen. The V11 is an amazing wheel - you've said it yourself more than once. You're really stretching the truth to pull a 180 and call it a 'fail'. You rode the V11 ten times rougher than 99% of other users and constantly smashed it rocks etc etc - let's be honest: you were cruel to that wheel. The S18 or EX or almost any other wheel wouldn't have stood up to that punishment either. Essentially you were trying to use a top-of-the-line Cadillac as a crappy Dune Buggy. Lastly: I swapped my V11 tire this weekend and it took a long time but it was pretty easy, there are just more screws than other wheels - if you know how to work an electric screwdriver you're going to be okay fixing the V11 (and I never had a reason to open mine until I had rode it hard for 2500km, its been really durable). PS: the V12 is a useless wheel, I will only buy 18" or larger suspension wheels going forward.
First off, really appreciate your thoughts/comment. The V11 is my favorite offroading EUC, but the 1st and 2nd batches have been a disaster. When the V11 was released, I was working at eWheels, my own personal issues are but a small fraction of the the communities issues with this wheel from bad boards, bearing issues, and lack of parts to repair. Just because the V11 performs well and feels great riding, doesn't mean it's release went well, and its not easy to get parts or support for it. I'm glad your enjoying and taking care of it as one should. My point with the V11 to V12 comparison, is the release portion. Is the V12 going to have bearing issues, control board issues, problems getting parts similar to how the V11 did? Only time will tell. PS: I mostly agree
MSD can you share more thoughts on why you’d only get an 18 inch wheel or suspension? I have a 16s and am thinking about getting v12 next year probably as a replacement (though the huge weight difference may make me keep the 16s for some use cases). Even if I stay at around 25-28mph on the v12 I’ll appreciate and feel safe knowing that I’m nowhere near its limits.
@@seattleraf An 18" will beat a 16" in almost every way. The 16" is only better for tight turns. On 18" you can go faster, safer, and more comfortably. As for suspension: once you get used to it there is no going back. All top-end wheels will have it in the future. It is just better, and very addictive as well as a huge safety feature. Every bump on the road makes you sad when you try going back to non-suspension. For the same reasons you want it on your car, your truck, your motorcycle, your train, your snowmobile.. etc etc: Suspension is essential.
Great video mate, never buy first batch of Any EUC. Wait and see, there are errors on most first batch wheels. I love My v11 after the change of bearings. I totally agree 16" wheels are not a stable as 18".
I've always loved drones. But there's alot of responsibility. Laws, rules, regulations drove me away from it. Lots of hoops to jump thru- and understandably so. U may record something that could get u in alot of trouble
Great feedback, I would like to ride this one as I had the pleasure to use the Speedyfeet Kingsong 16X for 2 weeks and found it to be a great wheel. The V12 is just a look I like and it looks like its well put together. We will see when they arrive here in the UK. Exciting times.
Lots of different offroad tracks, if it's not technical(don't need to jump or worry about suspension rods scraping) then I'd take the EX. 3500W motor 2700Wh battery Suspension. Have some videos upcoming and previous if interested.
I own a v11 and am always hitting the max speed limit and always getting tilt back so I need to upgrade my wheel. My question to you is what advice would you give to me about getting a Begode Master or the InMotion v13? I really love your master videos and the wheel looks amazing but it’s not durable or waterproof like the v13…..so which wheel do you think would be good for me? I have over 3k miles on my v11 so I’m not a noob lol. Thanks 🤙🏼
@@ZenLee ya I thinking about getting the Sherman Max, plenty of speed and it’s really durable and reliable. I can customize the heck out of it and it’s in stock at eWheels so I’m really leaning towards it. Do you have an affiliate link for eWheels so you get a kickback?
I agree, my V11was bad out of the box bad control board. Definitely do not by from EUCO, THEY MADE ME PAY FOR SHIPPING BACK AND A RETURN 174.00 for a wheel that was acting up out of the box. The kicker is they don’t have the control boards in stock, I have to wait for those to come in and then a week of travel back to NY. SO I PUCHASED ON 5/11 and I can’t ride until god knows when. Very bad experience with this company, would never buy from again.
That's rough! If it's bad out of the box, that should be covered by the company, BUT I don't think this policy is not exclusive to EUCO. Would recommend trying Alienrides.com or Revrides.com - haven't had any issue with them. Link is in description can use discount code 'zen' as well for $50 off.✌ This is my main worry of the V12, many units not working out the box and creating a bad release and experience for everyone.
My 16x feels like its built like a tank. Its been dropped and rolled so many times and has scuffs all over and still runs like a champ. Im trying to decide on which 2nd wheel to buy. I just hope its as tough as the 16x
It maybe not softer than others, but the number of cases seem to be more with this device, could be wrong. Mine was dented so bad the repair shop I normally use to fix rims couldn't fix it.
I heard there is no suspension, I'm considering switching from my onewheel to EUC just because the bumps on the road are a pain. V11 have a suspension but V12 doesn't? How's the comfort factor on this thing?
V11 and EX are very comfortable suspension EUCS. Posted a video of the EX today. I really like suspension and it helps me a lot with comfort and even turning tighter.
The EX is the best suspension wheel by far, however it's one of the most expensive. Really, most wheels with a 16x3 tire or above are very stable- I would suggest the EX.N, it cruises right over bumps at 40+ mph, and you can cruise at those speeds for ~50 miles. It's also a great wheel to learn on, the shell is really durable for a GotWay.
I'm thinking to get the latest batch of the rs 19 ht for my first euc.... do you think it's a good first round euc for someone who's 6'4 and mainly using it off road? I don't want to be having maintenance issues either do you know if its durable enough for a few bumps and crashes thanks for the vid
hmmm two totally different wheels, I'd go with the OG Sherman personally bigger tire and more range. But if you want something more sleek and lightweight V12.
The Nikola also to consider, same 16x3 Tire as 16X, V12, and Nikola. Nikola and V12 can go 40~, King Song locked at 31mph. Nikola was my first wheel, about 10k miles no issues. Was the trolley handle not locked down in the 4:00 area when you were off road? It was bouncing around over the bumps. Also, I've got over 500 miles on my V11 without any issues at all, but I'm not too rough with it. Mainly paved surfaces and smooth trails.

The hobby is definitely not for everyone, there is no perfect wheel yet, and they are pretty expensive for most people. It's all about finding the right wheel for your use case.
Working on 3 reasons not to buy Tesla, Mcm5, Sherman, and EX. If you like these type of videos let me know.

that would be great
I bought the V12 safety argument and run it for a week. I had it cut out on me yesterday at medium speed. Wheel no longer works.
