I think it's important to learn on a non suspension EUC, you get into the habit of keeping the knees bent, using your legs as "suspension" (if that makes sense), and planning ahead for bumps on the road, also staying alert and keeping your eyes open.. You have to learn all this the hard way, I remember hitting potholes 3 years ago on my V10f at 35km/h, it really taught me a lesson. After that, suspension is the way 🥷🙏
This can help, but unfortunately it adds another financial barrier to an already hard-to-break-into hobby/sport if you don't know someone who already has one. It costs less to get the wheel you'll ultimately want, and stick with trying to learn it.
@@dnthmn117 I understand the argument, but a smaller wheel will always have a purpose later on, be it a V10f/V8f, KS16 or 14... Your money isn't exactly lost.. @@MrMawashii Exactly. Having a heavy suspension wheel isn't ideal for short trips, or needing to toss it in a car. Also, if you get a flat and don't have time or parts to fix it, you ride your smaller wheel in the mean time. Having 4-5 wheels gets crazy but 2 wheels can be useful.
Old guy here (72 years old now). Started with a V8F August 2021. Was considering Molicel S18, but some arrive needing work on suspension, and there is more maintenance, so I ended up getting an 18XLV2 (comes with spiked pedals and power pad protrusions on upper pads), in August 2024. I'm just a hobbyist, and only ride about 50 miles 80 km per month, paved bike paths or private streets (no potholes). I also ride my 2001 Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle once a week (I used it to commute to work before I retired). It can do 80 mph | 128 kph in 1st gear, so l have less desire for speed on an EUC, mostly riding at 15 to 19 mph (24 to 30 kph), since I'm riding on bike paths (pedestrians, kids, dogs, squirrels, lizards, ...).
14D will make you learn more about riding, pay more attention on the road like bumps, sand, branches and other stuff. And of course, will teach about protection even in a small "slow" wheel, any fall on the street will hurt without protection. At the bare minimum gloves and knee protection.
Love my v10f for agile stuff, groceryshopping, visiting friends etc. For longer rides and when i want that torque i get the patton. Nice with a fat seat on it too. Conclusion, the optimal is to have 2 wheels or more.
I have it for 4 years now and I havent found anything more practical for city driving. For sure, I want a suspension in next wheel but it needs to be V10 category wheel.
I have 2 suspension EUCs (Master Pro V3, InMotion V11) and 3 Non-Suspension EUCs (InMotion V8s, InMotion V12, Gotway Nikola AR+) I love both versions. In my past and present world of bicycles/pedal unicycles, non-suspension was more standard. When encountering rough terrain, I got off my seat and stood on the pedals, knees bent to act as a natural spring, wore thick-soled shoes, and had just enough tire pressure to absorb the bumps, but not dent your rim/get a flat tire. Non-Suspension EUCs apply the same rules. Suspension EUCs, well, are like suspension bicycles. You get more of the cush, but you have a more complex and heavier ride (of course there are always exceptions). What I also love the Non-Suspension EUCs is their SIMPLICITY - they emphasize what an EUC is - simple design - all you have is a battery, motor, and brain - that's it. When it comes to inspection time, my Nikola is so easy to work on and maintain. Simple and clean.
I love my V12HT. If you put on the jump pads and honeycomb pedals you are very well locked in and if yout hit something you just jump with the wheel and drop back on it. I really have no issue regarding this. The wheel is so smooth and so great compromise between power/weight/size/battery. I can ride it aroud the town or do a 80km ride no problem. The most I did was 185km during one weekend (I have 8A charger). I can easily put it in the car, upstairs, light offoad, fast road riding is also not an issue at all. After 7300 km the tire is in very good condition (can do 16 000 km easily). The lack of maintenance is also huge plus in my small apartment. Just Ideal small beast wheel for me. One small correction - tire change on the V14 is actually very easy :).
Hey, do you mind if I ask for your settings on the v12 HT? I have grizzla flow style pads. Feels mostly okay but I’m getting a bit of wobble around 25-30km/h, and while braking. I’m using 56% pedal hardness, 2 degree forward tilt and pretty sure everything else is default settings. I’m about 2 months into riding, (street and trail) so it might be just under developed muscles.
I've ridden 3000 miles on my sus delete v13 in the last 6 months and I have honestly loved it for my daily commute. I am usually cruising at around 40 mph during my daily commute and anything smaller than a clenched fist barely matters as far as bumps go. This was much more of an issue on my v12 but tire size makes a big difference. I keep thinking about installing the sus lowering kit but I am so in love with the minimal work required with no suspension. I hate checking pressures and stuff like that. I am glad I ran into your video talking about how much nicer the v13 felt with no sus. It made the handling dynamics a lot nicer.
I have not yet tried a suspension wheel, so I still like my 2nd hand Gotway/Begode Tesla V1 with 1020Wh battery and 1900W motor. It is fast (55km/h)and have decent range despite its age. 👍👍👍

I firmly believe Begode is on the right track with making non-suspension small wheels with plush tubeless tires. If kingsong would use that strategy to widen their 14D/16S line it would make them a lot more enjoyable to ride on less than ideal road conditions, and give a nicer neutral width stance- their current suspension wheels are way too wide and cumbersome -18XL is very comfortable, just a wider Tire accommodation and a kickstand would make it the perfect wheel for me.

It does help you to develop the competency of always looking the ground for cracks/holes/bumps/rocks. I mainly use this wheel for errands as it is more discreet and practical. Funny thing is, yesterday I ordered a Kingsong S16 because I wanted to try out something new, compared to the Begode Nikola Plus I've been riding for the past 2½ years. Guess I'll be able to compare the two now. (Yes, I used your code, thank you.)
@@vinnyqm Honestly, it was simply because they had the S16 in stock. Also, I am on the heavier side for riders, coming in at about 95 kgs, so the increased wattage of the battery seemed right for me. On top of that, I wanted to try a different manufacturer.
I had two small ones and I want to make the step up to a bigger one with suspension... I have my doubts, but the streets of my city... are dangerous, speed bumps, potholes, change of asphalt, cobblestones... I think so. I will be grateful although I will lose that light mobility...
Suspension all day, the roads of my city are a shambles and I got a low speed cut out from overpowering a non-suspension wheel through a particularly deep pothole. Can barely feel the cracks and potholes with suspension.
Falcon and MTEN just got smart BMS or you've changed your mind? It's good to have you reviewing these small, cool, easy to learn and fun to ride EUCs for growing the community ✌.
You don't look like you today, Mr. Wrongway. I saw the thumbnail and thought "Who's that kid?". I like the weight savings of no suspension, but I'm not going on my trails or riding the pothole-laden roads at night without it.
I live on the 5th floor, no elevator. I have a V8S (17 kg), it is a very enjoyable and suitable wheel for city living. Just wondering if it is possible to pull up the havy suspention wheel up to my floor every day?
I have a commander mini (88lbs or so). Nearly threw my back out taking it up stairs by the handles, but now I have a strap I can throw over my shoulder that makes it much easier. Still definitely a workout but I am much less worried about injuring myself. So I think it is doable. 70lbs or less would be much better.

@@JoshuaMothis I'll try my best to remember. With any luck I'll have it in time for the weekend.
I'm surprised you didn't go with the falcon, being that it's also 100v so you can use the Nikolas charger with it too!
@@vinnyqm Honestly, it was simply because they had the S16 in stock. Also, I am on the heavier side for riders, coming in at about 95 kgs, so the increased wattage of the battery seemed right for me.
On top of that, I wanted to try a different manufacturer.
I have both , s22 and v8f , I LOVE my v8f , anything I need to do in the neighbourhood ? v8f , trails , jump and fun s22
Great comparison Adam. Thanks 6 pac Gord
Falcon and MTEN just got smart BMS or you've changed your mind? It's good to have you reviewing these small, cool, easy to learn and fun to ride EUCs for growing the community ✌.
I start this year with a v12ht. 2000km later i switch to the master ❤
You don't look like you today, Mr. Wrongway. I saw the thumbnail and thought "Who's that kid?". I like the weight savings of no suspension, but I'm not going on my trails or riding the pothole-laden roads at night without it.
Non suspension, RS for #eucpolo and COMMaster without suspension for high speed races ( on track without cracks )
If it's your first EUC - only non-susp
1st, 2nd etc - only suspension. Unless you use it for a beer run 3km away from your house.
Euc = autistic motability ❤️💛
Please I we need your review of the new Mten5. A nice refreshment for the small EUC department
Will do
I live on the 5th floor, no elevator.
Is the v14 long-term review coming soon? I can't decide between the lynx or v14
Sometime soon. I need to finish Lynx review first :)
I want an updated 14D with slightly bigger battery and a smart bms.
Me too
Both the T4 and the Falcon is below 2000€ also... So you WILL find new suspension EUCs below 2000€. Oh, and V11.
They're not on One rides site, I might have been a bit more precise with this statement. It's no secret though that suspension wheels are just more expensive
@@mr_wrongway well OneRide is very expensive. Even when using a code, their prices are higher than other places.
What happened to the sherman s after all the jumping? Did it survive/anything broke?
I had a loaner Sherman S for jumping :) you can check my Sherman S history in the video I made on It :) last Sherman s video
I still haven't got my first EUC
But i think i will go strait to a sus
Wheel, why?..fast learner, (roller skater for years ).my excuse😊
It's a Wheel after all. 😅
You can do it!
Good comparison👍
Thanks Patrick!
Shameless clickbait with KingSong F22 :D
I’m sorry 🙈
Been loving learning on the 16s, but after maybe 600kms, the knees are thinking real hard about suspension.
Also, what helmet is that?!?
Maybe it’s worth to transition!
That’s a Bell Super DH!
I road one off-road ride on my Sherman Max without suspension and my knees were sore for a week, but on suspended wheels, the knees are fine.
PORQUE NO LOS DOS?
Porque el dinero mi buen amigo es limitado
@@Berman163 laughs in 16x patton and no money for food xD
@@Berman163 Some rich users out there with many wheels. Then lots of poor with no wheel at all. That's life
Hey! In the weird places video you mentioned Warsaw group rides, I'm currently visiting warshaw, Is there a telegram group where can i find more info about the ride? 😊
Hey there! We have a group ride tomorrow at 19:00 under the Łazienkowski bridge. Hit us up there :)
@@mr_wrongway noones here 😓
Kingsong F22 on preview was a CLICKBAIT!!!
YES!
To suspend or not suspend your EUC
heheheh
SUSPENSION IS LIFEEEE
FOR ANYONE THAT SAYS OTHERWISE.... THEY'RE LYING❤🎉
Game changer that's for sure
I have the S16 Pro... bought it about 3 months ago as an upgrade for my V5F that I got to learn on. The S16 is way more comfortable to ride than the V5F and it feels a lot safer. The foot plates on the S16 aren't too grippy, so I modified them.... th-cam.com/video/SoPpqvCoDec/w-d-xo.html
Come On .... Suspension or no sespension...again?! How about EUC which can do vertical take off ? 🤣🤣 LOL just kidding....sorry
Slowem sie nawet nie zajaknales o 16x. No przeciez udusze wlasnymi rekami...
