    man im new to all of this and have been on youtube for hours watching one wheel and EUC. People seem to have alot more fun on EUC. I think the 2 main advantages one wheel has, is appearance and the way it mimics surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding etc. I am having a real hard time deciding which one to spend big money (to me) on.

    • @patc2515
      @patc2515 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For anyone else in this situation, I wanted to share my thoughts. I had owned the onewheel XR and ride it regularly for the last 2 years, along with my wife and friends who use my wifes pint. Onewheels are very fun, enjoyable, smooth, easy to ride and totally great. The speed at which you can cruise is fast enough to be fun and even thrilling at times. Its very relaxed to just cruise a onewheel and enjoy some wind in your face. I wouldnt get rid of my onewheel. I now have the V12 euc and I love it too. I see many people regularly comparing or choosing between an EUC and a Onewheel. In my opinion, they cannot even be compared. They are far too different. The ride, the learning curve, the speed, the danger, the aggression of an euc vs onewheel, the risk factor of falling at speed, the cost of entry, etc. are all far too different to even compare. For those who can buy both, I say to buy both. There will be times where you might want to ride one over the other. Although in my experience and seemingly in the experience of most people who have both, the EUC will be so much more thrilling, controllable, and powerful that you may lose interest in the onewheel however, both are great machines and there are times where one sounds more appealing than the other. For those who cannot buy both or simply dont want to, I highly recommend taking the time to meet people or attend groups meetings and or go to shops that will give you an opportunity to try them both out. Take the time to actually ride both and see what type of rider you are. I would think that it would be obvious to a person who's truly one type of rider over the other, as to which one they enjoy more. If you're open to owning both but cant buy both at once, take the time to ride them and see which one would be most enjoyable to have first, which one you can wait for without getting impatient, and which one you will get the most opportunity to actually ride. Getting both even if it takes time to get there, is the best situation to land in because as I said above, owning both is very fun and there are times when you will want to ride one and times where you want to ride the other. The best part of owning both is that you can allow a friend who doesnt own either to ride one of them while you ride the other and enjoy riding with a buddy who otherwise couldn't join you. I love both machines and they dont fill place of the other. Please don't compare one to the other and instead, put some time into learning which you actually enjoy more than the other as they are entirely different moods. Totally different experiences. At the end of the day, if i now had to choose one over the other, id have to go with the EUC over my onewheel simply because of the speed, agility, and overall mood I'm in when riding the EUC. There's nothing like it. The v12 makes me feel like i have a damn motorcycle with one wheel. Its thrilling every time you ride it. Cant get enough. Its naturally pulled me away from the onewheel even though I was in love with my onewheel prior to getting the EUC.. I will continue to ride both periodically and dont plan to sell my onewheel but if i had to sell one, it would definitely be the onewheel.

    Re: safety gear comments.
    Anyone who has taken any professional safety training knows “your most important piece of safety equipment is YOUR brain”.
    Meaning, know your skills and your personal risk acceptance.
    Outside a professional setting (firefighters, for example), risk/injury mitigation is up to the individual.
    That helmet-less rider knows his performance envelope, and the jump track was obviously well within his comfort zone.
    At 59yo my comfort zone means I pretty much put a helmet on to climb a ladder. Lol.
    Statistically, the most dangerous thing you can allow your kids to do is ride in a regular motor vehicle.
    Or maybe smoking cigs. Lol.
    Anyway, kids should be able to observe others doing “crazy, stupid sh**” and still choose their own path.
    Expecting the world to set a “good” example is hilarious and futile.
    Maybe this is why sometimes kids die of alcohol poisoning their first semester of college.
    Also, regarding pushing envelopes, knowing your limits and risk tolerance, in any environment,
    “Good judgement comes from experience, …
    Experience comes from poor judgment. “

    V12 or new improved gotway RS high torque (with LCD screen, improved bearings, higher pedals, better sealing from dust and water etc, better protection of internal components and can also set and adjust the cutoff angle) for off road trails (hills and technical)? I'm 6'3/200 pounds and this will be my first euc coming from riding onewheels.. will be 60-70% trails and the rest on street . It seems the RS larger wheel will be more stable off road and have more torque/hill climbing ability.. also the V12 has tilt back come in prematurely making it impossible to get to the on paper 43mph top speed in reality since you can turn off tilt back with gotways the RS will probably go faster in practice.. The brakes are also weaker on the v12..I think for off road the RS HT is still better.. If for all round 50/50 maybe the V12 (over RS High speed) I'm in SoCal and only ride in dry conditions.. Thanks

    It's nice to see other's riding without gear on, I ride in my shorts and tevas, it's not that dangerous. the bend over backwards tweak the lower back when you hit a rut is the worst injury on the euc and it doesn't matter how much gear you have.

    • @whatsupbudbud
      @whatsupbudbud 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ride without gear on my MCM5 all the time since I got it but only to around 30 km/h at full battery, max 25km/h at 50%. Not risking it on V12 as I've had a few nasty bails on a skateboard which doesn't have the cutoff risk. That being said, sometimes protection makes people overconfident, so need to be careful anyway. In the forest, on wet trails with slippery roots I anticipate crashes way more than on dry concrete, so when they do I just jump off and out of the way of the EUC. Works fine every time.

    Hi Jimmy ❤️
    I'm a subscriber and an EUC rider myself 🙏
    I can't help to notice how you didn't seem to mention your beliefs about safety gear to Mike?
    It's not only about Mike himself, but I'm not showing this video to any of my nieces or nephews, promoting a rider whom are able to predict his future and sees that it is "accident free" or "assumes the risks"🙏
    It's about being a role model for new riders or kids getting into this amazing sport❤️

      Respectively disagree Charles --- "I can't help to notice how you didn't seem to mention your beliefs about safety gear to Mike?" .... Jimmy doesn't need to inform one of the most experienced riders about "HIS SAFETY BELIEFS" ... LMAO .... I'm sure Mike knows the risks and will own it. I won't waste anytime commenting on your other silly points.
