  • In this video I go over various aspects of the InMotion V12HT, giving my personal take based on my experience riding it for 2,000 km in the past 2.5 months of ownership.
    The V12HT is an incredible machine that just has so much to offer. Whether your goal is commuting, cruising or hitting the trails, the V12HT certainly has something in store for you!

    I’m 223 pounds.
    40 psi for me. I have over 3000 miles since a week after Halloween. The tire was genius and perfect for on and off road.

    I have over 10,000km on my V12HT, my first wheel. Highly recommend for first time riders. It is one of the more difficult wheels to learn on though, lots of friends have commented its a bit top-heavy, but like you said - IT IS A TANK!

      How tf did you get that many miles without a cutout? I had 2 and only 2379 miles

      @@digi_tv I'm not sure how to answer that... there's no technique to prevent cutouts except don't ride like a maniac, i.e. pushing the wheel to its top speed or pushing it hard under 40% battery. Same goes for any wheel. Ride sensibly. As of today I am almost at 15,000km and nothing has changed.

      Yeah, my first wheel also and no cut out issues. I've got 8300khm or 5kmiles, I've rode in the rain, dropped it plenty of times and it's still going. It's a great beginner wheel for someone who's committed to the sport. You get used to the weight and it becomes light as a feather, at least, to ride not so much for pulling it in and out of a car. The only thing I didn't care for was the stock tire and the kickstand. I don't ride beeps and I've only hit a top speed of 35mph and that was 85% battery. You can unlock the top speed to 43mph also but, I have desire to hit that speed on a 16 inch wheel. Solid beginner wheel, great commuter wheel.

    So glad I got my V12HT for my first EUC.
    Been riding since June 2023 and live around Brisbane and use it as my daily commuter.
    As you said, would be nice to have suspension but the V12HT is a tank and a great wheel that I won't grow out of any time soon.

    I'm 235lbs and I love my V12HT. What a great wheel. So versatile, powerful and comfortable to ride. Only thing it's missing is a little suspension but if you don't need suspension it's not a big deal. Rides really nice without suspension anyway. Perfect weight 70lbs. Perfect tire size 16/3. Built like a tank. Highly maneuverable and comfortable. It's lasted me two summers already and still going strong. Don't forget to put some tire slime in your tire. (: Happy ridings.

    I love my V11 but I wish it had a little more higher end speed. The suspension is quite nice, and your right, makes up for my poor skill. Lol
    I do now and again wish I had got the V12HT for that speed.

    with the stock pedals, I feel like I can't go as fast. My feet slide all over the place. I upgraded to the e rides pedals and they make a huge difference. I can max the wheel out, even with no power pads.
    As for the braking, lean back and hold on to the front of the wheel. By where the headlight is. You can brake way harder that way. I'm able to brake really hard using this method, even without power pads. If you want to accelerate faster, you can grab the back part of the wheel above the taillight and pull it forward while you ride

    I'd recommend some lock-tight for the trolley screws. That will prevent them from coming loose. It's generally a good idea to do that to any screw you see coming loose on either a scooter or EUC. For the braking, have you tried adjusting the tilt-back in the app? If you tilt the pedals back 1-2 degrees it should make braking easier. I can't speak to that exact wheel, but in general this is true.

      The lock tight idea is great! I’ll do that.
      I’m fine with the brakes now tbh. I did play with the settings in the app, but didn’t notice much difference.

    I love the machine. Just 2 things I noticed after 2600km:
    1. braking could and should be better
    2. range should be 50% more
    Now don‘t get me wrong. It is an amazing machine. Just the 2 above and a small suspension would make it close to perfect. Now they are introducing the Inmotion Adventure (maybe v14) in a couple of days. That could be my perfect wheel depending on the range it can go 😅
    But I highly recommend it! 115kg rider with full gear and getting similar ranges at similar speeds to you.

    I just bought a v12ht. It's so wierd trying to learn how to ride these things😂. I'm going backwards more than front ways. I got the plastic under the light cracked. Are the plastics replaced?

    I prefer the v12 HS. I have both and I ride mostly my high speed because of the top speed difference. It is a HUGE difference but the torque is barely noticeable. The HT is more stable though. You can purchase the HT tire and put it on the HS using the new modified pedal hangers. This gives you the best of both wheels. BEWARE the HS rim is WAY more delicate than the HT's rim.

    My only and first wheel is a 16 x kingsong and now I'm looking to change it to another wheel. I would like the wheel to be good for long crossings, good autonomy and good in the rain. Which two have the greatest autonomy and do you think the HS or the HT v12 is better? I dont like suspension and pads. And i like small euc. Thank you

      Since you’re not after suspension and likes a smaller wheel, the V12 could be a great option. But to set your expectations right, you’ll be looking at round 60 km range (riding hard; higher range on lower speed riding). I haven’t tried a HS; I preferred to compromise on top speed than on torque.

    I'm getting about 37 miles (60 km) of range doing 30 - 36 mph (48 - 58 kmh) the majority of my commute. Range is alright, but I do charge at my office to avoid power limits on the way home. Included charger is pretty slow. Can take most of the work day to charge half the battery. Would like to do some longer distance adventure rides, which likely means trading this wheel in for something with a larger battery, but it's been a solid commuter wheel.
    Suspension would be nice given some pretty terrible pothole/bump laden roads in my area. A bit more speed would also be nice for those 35 - 45 mph (56 - 72 kmh) single lane roads (no bike lanes) where cars are passing above the speed limit. A wheel capable of 50 mph (80 kmh) to at least go the speed limit with a bit of safety buffer would be better. Luckily for most EUC riders, ya'll don't live near the motor city, where alternative transit options are taboo, city roads have high speed limits, and there's almost no protected / separated bike paths.
    V12HT is a solid wheel if your route keeps you within its limits. Few small annoyances though:
    It's really meant as more of an offroad wheel, so the tire that comes on it isn't great for handling / carving, but it is nice to have when you need to run across some grass or dirt.
    The braking could definitely be a bit more aggressive, which is either a result of pedal geometry or the relatively small battery being unable to take the charge. You can pull back on the front of the wheel to brake a bit faster if you're prepared, and it helps to have the rear pads setup aggressively for braking. I ride with my dominant leg a few inches in front of the pedal with that knee bent forward against the pad to accelerate, and my other foot back a few inches and straighter to help stabilize the wheel and get on that brake hard when needed. At over 90% charge, the braking is dangerously weak. I've almost over leaned backwards and overshot a turn into a curb 3x because of it. I wish EUC World head a feature to announced 'reduced braking' reminders; after a long day of work, it always catches me by surprise.
    The screen's lackluster responsiveness makes it hard to fine tune sliders; better off using the app or EUC World. The wheel alarm at 34 mph (55 kmh) is somewhat annoying when just trying to get down an empty road fast, but it does make for a nice notification to pedestrians to warn them you're there. I'd still rather it be a PWM alarm, or be able to increase it to 36 mph (58 kmh). When I'm riding fast, I have my arms setup as aerodynamically as possible, so basing it only on speed is kind of worthless.
    The trolley handle has a solid feel, but the geometry isn't great for maneuvering the wheel, and it's hard to open and close with one hand. The rubber grip is a bit loose on mine.
    The top handle is shaped in a weird way that makes it hard to grip, especially when the trolley handle is up. It's way too thin.
    The spin kill is flakey. Can't tell you how many times I've tried to carry the wheel up/down a flight of stairs holding the button in, only to have the wheel spin up. A few times I've tried to rock the wheel back onto its kickstand, only to have the spin kill disengage and suddenly pull the wheel forward. I don't mind the slight delay from pulling it, but it really needs to be more sensitive to the touch so it stays on while grabbing the handle.
    The kick stand is nice, but would like it to have some rubber on the end for more stability, to protect wood floors,. and to avoid getting scratched up on cement. I guess it's not that difficult to wrap some tape around it or something. If you don't have it all the way down before trying to rock the wheel back onto it, the wheel can push the stand back up and just fall over. How it flips up and down can also be a bit dangerous if you forget to put it up before riding away. I think there's a reason other companies are going with static kick stands.

      You can definitely use a faster charger on the V12HT, I have no problem running 5amps into the battery. I have a larger wheel with suspension (Veteran Sherman S), but sometimes a lighter wheel is handy and when it is a bit wet I'm happier with a wheel with an actual IP rating like the V12HT has. But for longer rides the Sherman S is pretty sweet.
      I have ridden ~70km on the V12HT at a reasonable speed and still had 25% remaining. I have ridden faster on my Sherman S for 100km and still had more than 25% remaining.

      It’s not a perfect wheel, but tbh I think it does a good job seen its limitations compared to more expensive wheels.
      Hopefully the new Adventure will be good for the higher speeds, and I can’t wait to try that suspension.

      @@euc360 It's definitely been a solid wheel for the price I got it for. $1500 + $80 for spiked pedals. I wouldn't pay the $2k+ that most distributors are charging for it. EUC prices have inflated quite a bit, but they seem to be coming back down to Earth now that there's some competition between sellers, and there are SO many competing wheels out.
      The Adventure will mostly replace the V12 for most riders, I think.

      ​@@KiwiMark67 I just wonder why EUC companies ship with such slow chargers. If it's to save money, then just sell the EUCs without the charger and people can buy roger chargers separately once. It hasn't been a problem for me, but does require planning to charge well in advance of a ride.
      I can see the V12 being the lighter wheel compared to some of the other behemoths, but I personally still love my V10F for around town. Super nimble, fast enough for residential streets, doesn't really need pads, and very light to carry up and down stairs or to toss into a car. V12 is a bit of a chore to carry down and up my house stairs with my wrist guards on. The pedal hangers are sharp too which already sliced up the back of my driver's seat, and can really scalp the trunk carpet if laid on its side. Again, could just apply some hanger protectors or tape I guess, or lay something under them.
      IP rating is nice, but given the nature of EUCs, I try to avoid rain at all costs; it's just another thing that can lead to a faceplant.
      With my commute length and speed limits, I may consider ordering a master (cheap and not much heavier than V12) or possibly an EX30 (but would probably keep that in the garage instead of trying to lift it up and down the house stairs)
      The new 16" wheels are definitely interesting, bit cost a bit more and I'm a bit worried about higher speed stability. They are put together more solidly than the Master though, and seem to have better water proofing and superior suspensions.

      It’s not connected. The light has a gyroscope in it I think. So it senses a sudden slowdown and turns solid as a brake light. Pretty cool

    Those range tests for ANY Wheel should come with Asterisk**** Because speed matters in range and also being fully charged. For whatever reason I can ride like 15 miles and only drop 5 percent battery from full (95%). Like a car, if you go fast speed and constantly on the gas, your gas mileage will be trash
    My V12 High Speed literally gets about a Percent Per Mile when speeds is kept under 20 mph. Just yesterday I rode 46.3 miles and still had 58% Battery left. Top Speed was 26 mph for about 4 miles, Average speed was 14 mph
    I have rode 54 miles with 46% battery remaining.

      I live in a very hilly city, so that high torque comes in pretty handy.
      Also, as much as I would love to be able to go faster, at close to 60km/h, it’s really not a slow wheel.
      But for those who ride mostly on paved roads and don’t climb many hills, maybe the HS could be a better option.

      HS. I have both. the torque is not really noticeable but the speed cap is. I am ALWAYS at the cap of my HT. Im selling my HT and keeping the HS.
