The Bachmann models really arent that bad, they just need some custom touches. Yours came out fabulously! I do wonder where one can get those 3d printed parts now that Shapeways is kaputski.
Dear sir, Thomas looks stunning! I've watched this amazing video of yours like 25 times! I'm looking for some expert advice. I decided purchase brass buffers for a bachmann Thomas project, instead of shapeways 3d printed ones (because they were the same price for better quality) They were like 35$ 😬 for four an I would rather not destroy them. My question is would you recomend sanding them before painting? or just painting them right out of the packet? What do you usually do? 🤔 I know you are very talented in this domain.😄 Thanks for reading!
Thank you for watching, and thank you for the kind words! For my Thomas, I did not do any sanding on the buffers before painting. They were glued, primed, and then painted. I haven’t had any issues so far. Hope that helps!
Thank you! Hard to say, but if I had to ballpark estimate, I’d say $50 or so on top of buying a Bachmann Thomas. That includes parts, faces, paint etc.
When I first saw the thumbnail, I honestly thought that this was a CGI RENDER of Thomas!! (Must be the matte finish!)
Love this model! This really shows you could still make a Bachmann Thomas looks so good. Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot! And thank you for the kind words!
he looks absolutely amazing!!!
Thank you!
This looks Great!
It looks kinda like a scaled down version of the G-Scale Version of Thomas
Thank you! I thought the same thing!
I love how you did with him!! The way you customize him reminded me of Stephen's (SodorRailwayModeling) version on Thomas.
Thank you! He was a big inspiration for this project!

Well done! You are a really useful modeler
Where did you find the face?

Thank you so much! You are such an underrated TH-camr! @@MoreTrainsPlease
This slaps so hard!
Thank you!
If Bachmann wasn't so lazy with the faces, it would still be a big improvement.
Impressive
Thank you!
It too good I. Love it so much
Better than me
But I need a face
Thank you!
Looks so cool! How much do you think it costed you to buy all the parts and make this?
