You’re also comparing a bike which two wheels and extremely cheap to make, to a automobile. The Mustang costs way more to make due to it being on 4 wheels and the engine alone is bigger than that whole bike. A lot more than SPEED affects the costs of things.

Since 2006 the R6 motor makes peak power at 14,500 rpm....so idk what you referring to with 18,000rpm.... maybe an old school cbr250rr?? Not any R6 motor.
Shane Jones well that tach is wrong.... it's not really revving that high. Do some research and you'll see that Yamaha speedometers are know to read out incorrectly. I have a 2011 Yamaha FZ6R and i max out top speed over 140mph but in reality I'm probably closer to 130mph.

Sounds like your bike had a chain with a kink in it at the time. That's what my first bike sound like or I should say started sounding like and I didn't know why. I knew nothing about bikes at the time I just rode it LOL. Once I learned a bit tho, I realized my chain was in tough condition

Try maybe sending your fuel injectors to get tested and ultrasonically cleaned. I got mine done for $90, r6 runs like new😝 It was still having misfire issues, after I installed new plugs and coils and it ran like shit, so I figured it had to be dirty injectors. I was right
