Seeking Beauty Through Homekeeping | Winter Container Gardening | DIY Dish & Dishwasher Soaps

I’m really enjoying finding beauty in the mundane this week. Can dishwasher soap be chic? I think so! Also, inspired by an article from Veranda, I tried a container garden/floral arrangement using sticks and greens foraged from my yard. It was fun!

What motivates you the most in your homekeeping?

I buy Branch Basics because I have less time to DIY since the kids are grown. I chose them equally based on nontoxic and no hormone interference and the luxury of the product. I can use it for laundry spray and everything else. Even dishes. I add different oils to it as the seasons change. I agree about pretty being super motivating.

Enjoyed this video. Some things I am now doing with greenery outside, is buying cheap but still almost real looking succulents to put in my pots. Yes, plants are out of sight now days to purchase, even the ones that are to be perennials of which I like to buy ones that will come back. Being 70 and remembering long ago the endurance of many plants, that has changed in my opinion. Our home landscape was built in '65 and the lady began planting so many varieties of evergreen bushes, bulbs, azaleas, etc. These have such a fragrance that now days is not present in modern plants, shrubbery. All the evergreen, azaleas, etc. self seed, I have been so amazed. I go shopping in my own yard now to transplant. ") As to motivation of daily dos of life, I like to diy things that bring an atmosphere in my home and cause me to connect to a time period of life I love, which is 1800. Your potted diy turned out very pretty. I thought a small bird nest added would be pretty too. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing. In Joy

I do make my own all purpose cleaner just vinegar , water and a little dish soap. My favorite is my coconut beeswax mosturizer thats all that I put in it also essential oils too. I use this moisturizer for my whole body I have jars of it all over the house.❤

I get the spring cleaning bug now and then ,We’re just varnishing the floor so a good cleaning is due when we’re finished .

I love decanting into prettier containers also.
I’m going to try these DIY soaps. Do you have a DIY all purpose cleaner?
I like repurposing things I already have just because it is fun to cogitate on it. 😊
