I love the homeschooling method of including a tutor who can provide some insight into Gideon's curriculum. Homeschooling is very stigmatized, but that's what I'd do if I ever had human kids. (My kids meow...) Public school was such a miserable and traumatic experience for me that I don't want that for my (human) kids.
Another thing that convinced me to homeschool if I have kids is "the school shooting talk" that every parent must have with their children. I refuse to send my children into a war zone just to get an education.

I remember having 3 kids in diapers, 11 months apart before I was 21. I thought “ I can’t wait till I can sleep through the night”. Here I am, almost 64 and typically wake by 4:00am w/no alarm…..enjoy your babies as time really does fly. BTW Great job Momma!

Joy, when my youngest child was about Gunners age we had him in an infant seat on a counter while we were having dinner, he pitched forward and had a very hard fall onto the floor. We rushed him to the ER, turns out he had no horrific injuries, but he did get two black eyes, this happened a couple of weeks before his grandparents were coming to see him for the first time, anyway, the point is, please don’t put your baby up high without him being buckled in.
It does happen. I worked as a nanny for a family who put their 4 month old on the counter while in her carrier. She somehow tipped or fell out of the seat and hit her eye on the corner of the counter. It was horrible seeing her with a black eye.
My first baby was born in 1963. She wasn’t very old, chewing on those teething biscuits. I had her strapped into one of the infant seats of the day, but had her on the floor. I was shocked to see that she had lost her biscuit and had managed to reach for it, going forward. She got it, she was on her tummy with the seat still attached to her, on her back. So glad I didn’t have her on a table or something.
my daughter has always been a bouncer/rocker, even as a baby. we strapped her in a seat and put it on table when we had dinner and she'd be halfway across table just from bouncing back & forth. you really do have to think ahead.
I love that they call Austin’s mom Grandmother. That’s what I want to be called by my grandchildren (first one of his way)! I was raised by my dad and his mom - who we called Grandmother. I feel like it’s a nice way to honor and remember her.

I love how Joy & Austin interact. They seem to really work as a team with the kids especially. Austin's laid back personality complements Joys. I can't get over how well the kids get ready for bed. I've never seen any of them having a tantrum or whining.
Honestly, according to the negative comments, Gideon needs to stop sucking his thumb, Joy needs to set alarm differently, get Gideon a "full breakfast" & time to wake up before school, don't set Gunner on counter without strapping him in which i'd bet he was, hang more pictures up, check for recall on an applesauce pouch, get evie some sausage corn dogs for breakfast or just let her have corn dog, get checked for depression, questioned what Austin does while she does EVERYTHING, & whatever other helpful tips. When you're a stay home mom, your husband typically does work all day & mine used to travel for days at a time so I did do it all round the clock for days. He is always helping & giving her break plus they put kids to bed early so they have alone time together. They're young. God designed this season that way so parents do have optimal energy. It's still very tiring but i know i wouldn't trade it for anything. She's blessed Austin makes enough money for them to have nice house, furniture, an RV, and Joy can buy new clothes and they take the kids to water parks & other places. I'd say they're doing everything right.

I slightly disagree! People having kids young is a very old fashioned concept! In todays world most people go to college and universities, grad schools etc before they get married and have kids. In the 50’ and 60’ women stayed home to care for the kids and didn’t work nor have a higher education. Those days are long gone! If you want to have kids and a home you own and have nice things in life and prepare for retirement you better have a great education! If you don’t, you will never be better of than your parents!
For your carpet to hold it down I found these things called ruggies and they don't damage your floor and they really do stick to your carpet to hold the corners down

This couple obviously loves their kids and I'm sure they are considering/have considered every improvement idea some of you have suggested.
