I’m happy she’s better! I’m a pediatric nurse and when kids get constipated it can actually cause a lot of symptoms such as the ones she showed. Another big sign is nausea & vomiting because they’re backed up so it comes up the other way.
She is such a cutie .I worked 30 years in the hospital, 10 in the emergency, 6 years in pediatric. You definitely had every reason to take her in. We had more and more kids with vovolus over a couple years that I was there . The docs blamed it mostly on the foods , and such, because years prior fast foods and foods with all kinds of crap weren't being eaten. Heck I even had a twisted intestine at 38 . I would get bad stomach pains , and such , finally it got really bad one night so my mom took me to the emergency, and that's exactly what it was. Luckily ibuprofen and some Xanax released it . Unfortunately I would get it a few times a year . You do a good job taking care of those babies !
Precious little blondie sweetheart with her girlie girl presents! She made short work of those gift bags-maybe she will be a whirlwind shopper one day. Or maybe a little ballerina or a fashion model! What a wonderful daddy to do her nails for her-I was reading somewhere that dads who spend time with their daughters, and tea parties, and dolls-will develop a father-daughter bond and trust where she will confide or ask for advice from him in later years. All three of your children are charming and you are great parents. Also, those little ones can spike a fever so fast (even to the point of being delirious) and scare the heck out of mom & dad! My mom did not know how to swim. She was terrified that her kids might drown or that she, herself, might fall into water and drown. She made sure that her kids took lessons. I went all the way to a life-saving course. My next younger brother did the same. The she relaxed. Not sure if my other, younger, siblings went that far. I made sure that my children took swimming lessons and now my grandsons have taken lessons and ended up on swim teams for competitions. Knowing how to swim does save lives. I could regale you with stories. Kudos to you for learning how to swim

When you go to an emergency room usually you are there for a minimum of 5-6 hours.. No complaints just a fact! So glad to hear that Evie is ok and feeling better.. Happy Birthday Evie 🎂
Do you know how to float on your back? My parents taught me that early. The idea is that no matter where you are in the water, you can rest by floating on your back. If you are stuck out in the middle of water and get tired, then you can flip onto your back and rest. This is what I tell my kids: relaxxxx, pull your belly to the top of the water, and clinch your bottom (like your holding something with your bottom😂). It may help to tilt your head back a little bit. Please have someone nearby when you are trying to learn. Once you get it, it's pretty relaxing. My mom would put her hands behind her head and relax.

Aww poor Evie, I deal with a lot of digestion issues myself. If constipation is a constant issue for her, maybe consider going to the pediatrician to see what you can do to help regulate it for her. :) A little TMI, but it took me over twenty years to learn it's not supposed to be like rabbit turds! No wonder why I felt icky so often! Now I take fiber gummies, and a probiotic, and also try to drink more liquids. Kids might be different so if this is a issue she struggles with I'm sure her doctor will recommend some great things to prevent this in the future. ^_^ Anyways, glad she is feeling better and Happy Birthday!

Great job! I’ve been swimming since I was a toddler as I lived on a lake. All my kids &Grandkids are water babies as well. Makes a huge difference since I live in the Great Lake state of Michigan and everyplace in our state is within 5 miles from water. Happy birthday Evi & she’s precious!
