I don't know how on earth you get so much done, almost like a single parent. You never stop. I find you are so full of useful information for almost anyone. You said that your not educated, but yet, you are so full of so much knowledge that many of us wish we had. I cant tell you enough how much I respect you and all that you do. Your kids are polite and well behaved. Your love for your animals is outstanding. Thank you for all you do and letting us into your daily life. I just found you today and I have watched about 8 videos so far. Really loving your channel. Thank you.
My day seems to never end too but I don’t have the land and animals she does. But there is always something that needs to be done. I am just grateful at 75 I can still do all of this.
Notice how these children are not crazy from packaged chemical food and no tv in sight to blast the family with violence and hate and artificial colors. What a blessing this mother is to her community.
I go tired just watching your day. I don't know how you get done what you set out to accomplish...all in just a day. Wow! You are truly an inspiration to the many persons of this crazy world. Thank you for all you fo for your family, for sharing your life enthusiasm, sharing your canning days, snd I'm blessed to see your children perfectly happy and excited about using your plow wheel...that says enough right there. ❤
#replay, just want to say hi. I just found this channel yesterday. I'm a 60 year old country gal from South Carolina. I was adopted in 1963. My parents were 20 year's older than everyone else's parents. I count that as a blessing. I got to hear stories from my grandma that was born in 1889. Yes she lived to be 106 Àlmost 107. So I really was raised the old way. Now days I do good to just keep my house. God seen fit to allow me to be a walking testament, I've had strokes, bells Paulsy, lupus, lesions on my brain, and intestinal disease, now I'm almost blind. I've been crippled from my back going out twice and having two L-5 S-1 surgeries. But I can walk. God is so good!! I want to thank you for your honest and clean, useful. Positive, uplifting video. You are a blessing to me. Amen.
I love that you are teaching your children responsibilities of life like housekeeping, healthy eating and how it comes about. Lessons they can carry with them throughout their lives. Good on you and Elvin as you are doing what all parents should be doing.
Those kids will grow up knowing exactly what needs to be done in a household, dishes, washing clothes, feeding animals and pets, tapping and making syrup, what an education they are getting about the important stuff in life on how to raise a family and make it work properly…and to be upstanding citizens later on…good job mom!
I had to come back and tell you when I watched the video of your family just drinking milk before going to do chores in the morning & then having a humble breakfast of scrambled eggs…..my soul felt freedom. Thank you for putting out these videos for moms like me. I have a 4yo, a 3yo, an almost 2yo and a 4mo. I make sourdough bread, we have a milk cow, chickens, beef cattle & we garden /preserve. However, I’ve always felt the heavy burden of needing to have these elaborate meals always gracing our table. Thank you for showing us a real day in your life. I love you & your family RuthAnne ❤️
Giggles, giggles. My grandad Willie was a tall thin man. He had very rough dry hands. He used to squit milk to the cats and shot such a stream of milk almost making the cats slapped with milk. Bet the cow felt his strength also. Long time ago.
I'd like to commend you and Elvin for the principles and ethics you are instilling into your children.. Your time and efforts will be rewarded richly! What you are doing goes to show that kids are happier and healthier learning and being part of a productive family. And your apron looks wonderful on you. How did the children's projects turn out? Again I have to thank you for sharing your family and lifestyle with us.
What a great day. I remember before we retired and all our kids were at home Our days were like this busy from 5 am til 9 pm We raised 9 children they are from the ages of 43 to 18 now. The youngest is off to college. We have had a blessed life, Be blessed my friend
The skills your teaching your children are so much more than just base skills, they are a resource they will always have with them if they need it. Plus the connection with animals and the food they produce is something that allows them to truly value what they eat. Thank you.
Wow! All that before school starts. I wish I had been raised in this way. Your children are blessed to have you teaching and caring for them. Preparing them for adulthood.
Yall are so diligent and productive I can’t believe how many tasks you can do in one day I would have fallen out by 9am! So lovely how you live. Thanks for sharing a day in your wonderful life! God bless!
Sometimes I think it would be fun to have farm animals and then I remember that you have to take care of them EVERY DAY, whether you feel like it or not- not ready to do that properly, so not ready Hats off to you and your family for all of your hard work, day in and day out.
I so miss the sounds of little kids in the house. They make for a happy home. Even if they are tattling or arguing. It’s such a small season of life. Enjoy every moment.
I absolutely love how your children have chores. When they mature and have families of their own, how fortunate they will be equipped with life lessons learned while growing up. I’m a firm believer in NOT spoiling children. Lots of love, self worth, discipline and respect is the key.
Your family is so hard-working!! Do you ever sit down and put your feet up?! I am amazed at all you do! Thank you for sharing! We are currently building a home on an acre in a small town and I can’t wait for my children to have more meaningful work to do once we get animals and a garden going!!
Just watching you and the kids wore me out. I have to congratulate you . I could never do that without resting for a week between those chores. I have a very demanding job but I will never complain afai . Bless all of you.
"You have such a wounderful way to raise a family" I was raised old school and my mom cooked from scratch. She taught me to love and serve God first, pay tithes, take care of your family. Then give to others in need If you have it to give. Your a great example to your children. May you always be blessed.
Your children and husband are as beautiful and kind hearted as you. The old school way you teach your children is the way I grew up. As parents, it is our heavenly job to teach our children how to thrive and survive as well as learn and constantly teach. A good person, parent or teacher never needs much school room learning. You do so well as all of the above. This definitely is the epitome of pure love of all life and family. I deeply thank you for passing thing this on to the future.
My dear sister, as a mother of seven ( our last was an adopted baby with special needs who is now in his final year of high school) who homeschooled for 20 years while being unwell, I can feel the hard work I see you doing here all day. Your work is fueled by love for God and for your family. You are a woman of honour. God bless you, and all of your growing family, in Jesus’ Name. Proverbs 31 woman, you are.
This brought back memories of my young life and my kids young lives!! We did our mornings like yours. My kids are all grown (50's) and these were the best times!!! God bless you all.
I am so impressed with how you handle and direct your children. It's unbelievable! Love your videos and all your skills! You have such a way with homemaking. I'm in awe! ❤
I just found your channel and I'm relly enjoying it. My heart feels full watching you and your family sharing all the chores together. Thank you for sharing!
You have your family so organized with all the chores. It’s great that they are taught to have responsibilities on the homestead. I really admire you and all you do on the homestead.
How I would’ve loved for God to let me had this life style that you are living right now. I know I would’ve just absolutely loved it. So thank you for taking us on your journey of your life and making us all feel part of your family..God Bless.
I live and grew up in South America and even though we didnt live on a farm....we had chores to do before and after school and we loved it. Such a vast difference to some households today. I just watched your video on water bath canning. THANK YOU!!!! I have been canning for just 2 years now and only recently started pressure canning using my regular pressure pot. I live in Brasil and learnt to do it this way.😃
Hey RuthAnn it’s Vicki!! Watching your TH-cam video on Sourdough bread. Love watching your videos and all you do. I remember the days when we both did the Farmers Market. Great memories. My boys back then helped us out alot in our acre garden ❤
I too have a large clothesline that my husband built for me when we adopted 4 children. I loved hanging laundry out to dry. The children grew up and I don’t have nearly the laundry I once had. I have a wood drying rack that I can use inside and I dry a good amount of clothes on that. Other things, I put on a clothes hanger and hang them on the shower rod to dry. I did learn some things from your video. I love how your family works together. Y’all are such a blessing. ❤
Hi I'm Cathy from Philly. I have watched a couple of your videos so far and I'm very impressed with you and your family and how everyone pulls their weight to make chores a family affair. I will learn so much from all of you so thank you very much.
Omg…how cute!! Those little kitties love that fresh cream! They just opened their mouths…how sweet! Those will be some healthy, strong barn cats for sure ❤ I love cats…
I am happy I found your fine channel! I just turned 70 a couple of days ago. I grew up on a farm, and my parents and grandparents taught us so much as you and Elvin are teaching your kids. We had many chores to do but also enjoyed life together on our farm/ranch/orchard. My grandfather and father dug the basement we lived in for 7 years before my grandpa, father, and uncle built the little house on top. We never had much money, but we were never hungry! We had milkcows, chickens, turkeys, steers, one little bummer lamb that thought it was one of the dogs...barn cats that also lined up for their squirts of fresh milk. We churned butter and canned our fruit...mostly froze our vegetables. We had to move sprinkler pipes and hoe weeds...etc. but what a great childhood we had! I love and miss farm life.
Thank you for sharing the happy sounds of your family life! I kept this one on while I did chores I didn't want to do! 😂 Somehow, my whole chore got done before I knew it! I just got lost in listening to you and your kids. I love your life! ❤
I absolutely loved this video. Having worked on a farm several years I know it is hard work but oh so fulfilling. This is a great life for your kids. They may not think so now but they will appreciate later. Really appreciate all the information you share with us. God bless you and your family! 🙏
we never missed on anything. our fun was going to the creek, fishing, swimming or tubing; playing in the cow pastures and woods; our farm animals were spoiled from all our attention.
I am not going to lie, I was feeling exhausted! I was so.proudnof myself for my work on my small garden, now I am feeling a little lazy! I love your channel, your love of God, family and work ethic. Your family is amazing.
You have much old knowledge. My mother had 7 children and much of the way you cook reminds me of her. We learned to clean and cook and sew, knit, crochet, and save money which has allowed all of her children to be strong productive people. So good to hear children laugh while working and the little ones getting to sit on your lap for story time is so loving and important that they feel cared for as we did. Thank you and blessings for all. Love your purchase as it is so practical. Thank you for so much information and sharing with others.
I am so totally hooked on watching your videos!! Love, love, love them. You have a sparkle about you, something I noticed in the first video and watching you makes me smile. Thank you! I'm so glad I found you. You encourage me to be a better person. I enjoy gardening and canning. Cooking and baking are my hobbies along with crafts, crocheting and quilting. I'd love to try making cheese but I do not have a milk cow or access to raw milk. Your children are very enjoyable to watch also. If I could give you 5 stars, I'd give you 10. :)
Harrisson and Kendricks work ethics are flawless! And i love that they sing and play while they work😅 so much fun! All you children are amazing! So skilled!
What a great day in the life! Thank you for sharing your family and what you all do. There’s always so much to do on a farm and love how you have the day planned out. Work hard, play hard! I love ham & beans soup! Looked so good!
Your an amazing women of God. What an inspiration to so many women, me included. Your water bath canning is exactly how I remember my mom and grandma doing it. I got off track listening to the 😅government. Now it’s back to basics and I can’t wait to get started. Escalon, Californian, yes there are some good ones here.😊
I had a jersey/hereford cross cow I milked. Loved milking, the quiet peacefulness of feeling the warmth of the cow and the rhythm of milking. Wonderful!
I just found your channel and subscribed. TY for sharing your day with us.I thoroughly enjoyed being with you. May you be blessed as you most definitely are a blessing!
I love your family life. I agree, if more people raised their kids like you do what a wonderful world this would be. I am grateful my grandparents and parents taught me to be a hard worker. I am also grateful I listened. It has made me pretty self sufficient and I can do most things but at 75 I am now on my dad’s 5 year plan. We’ll see what the big 80 brings.
I’m really enjoying your Chanel. I would like a little back I caught were you said you were a Mennonite at one time I’m sure that’s where you learned a lot of your knowledge about farming and preserving and cooking and all those things.
I don't know how on earth you get so much done, almost like a single parent. You never stop. I find you are so full of useful information for almost anyone. You said that your not educated, but yet, you are so full of so much knowledge that many of us wish we had. I cant tell you enough how much I respect you and all that you do. Can’t agree more! Amazing🤗❤️🙏
Amen to that! Such hardworking people.

My day seems to never end too but I don’t have the land and animals she does. But there is always something that needs to be done. I am just grateful at 75 I can still do all of this.
What great kids!!!
How wonderful to see man and wife in the Word at the start of the day😊
Notice how these children are not crazy from packaged chemical food and no tv in sight to blast the family with violence and hate and artificial colors. What a blessing this mother is to her community.
Absolutely god is fabulous

Proverbs 31 all the way!
Just imagine how much the world 🌎 would heal so many issues if most people lived this way ❤
Count me in. I could be a garden grandma for room and board.
Reminds me fondly of home.
So true! 🥰💕💕
Absolutely. And imagine how healthy most people would be with this life style. I love it.
Amen
Love seeing how involved the children are! You get more done before 8am than many people get done in a whole day!!
Watching the kittens wait so politely for a bit of milk is absolutely precious!

Those kitty cats loved their sprays of milk! So adorable! And I loved seeing the boys working and singing.
I love watching how everyone has a job and how you are so patient with the boys.

You are awesome we always find it interesting to watch your videos.. I love to watch your videos.
The everyday chores and explaination of why you do some steps is excellent as many do not know these things anymore.
I love the way your children treat your animals so gentle with the cats
What a wonderful day! Thank you for sharing your family and farm with us. Such a wonderful example of how God wants us to live.
Our pleasure! Thanks for your kind words.

I’m a sucker for barn cats. So hardworking, so cute!
I love how you pray with and over your children.
America has gotten away from this and it sure does show.
That was so cute seeing the cats drinking the milk. Great of you for sharing ❤
You and your family values and being raised with responsibilities are exactly what is missing from our current lifestyles in the US

I love the fact that the kids are doing their chores without whining all the time.
Hi I'm Cathy from Philly. I have watched a couple of your videos so far and I'm very impressed with you and your family and how everyone pulls their weight to make chores a family affair. I will learn so much from all of you so thank you very much.
Your children listen so well and work so hard. That cultivator is hard work to use. Love your videos.

I love how you are so family oriented. It is so easy to see how much you love your children and how much they love you. ❤
I had a jersey/hereford cross cow I milked. Loved milking, the quiet peacefulness of feeling the warmth of the cow and the rhythm of milking. Wonderful!
It is great yall working together as a family 😊
Looks like Mitch may have paused briefly to pass a bit of gas 25:55😅😂
It's definitely something my sons thought was funny. Boys! 😅

I would love to see that big daddy rooster..love his crow...It's like good morning ya all... miss mine.😊
