I’m a trucker from the south. This show gets me through long drives. Although since, none of you know who I am, I can freely admit more than once, I’ve had to turn my bunk light on behind me when I’m driving at night, cuz the content creeped me out too much.
Edit: the amount of idiots on here who think I’m actually looking at my phone while driving a 80K lbs. death machine makes me sad for humanity.

I've worked in these areas around the logging roads, and it's more than likely somebody from a private security company being subcontracted for a project because it's on federal land.
The Trans mountain pipeline runs through these ranges, and over some of the mountains. I had to climb one of them, and locate the pipelines. The next day, they used helicopters to bring parts of a drilling rig to the top so they could drill piles. There's not very many roads so everything is chopper'd in and out.

Ex washingtonian here. In sixties, my father was next door country policeman. He used to take us to areas restricted or closed to public. He took my brothers & I to many places. All at night. Saw DC zoo, smithsonian, etc. Cops, capitol police and ssa granted access to these places. I remember seeing them behind closed doors. They weren't models for display. They were very large, human, skelton remains. Then I learned several years later, they claimed they never existed? Okay sure! I'll never forget that museum.

man you just got a new subscriber. I get so sick of these paranormal and conspiracy channels where they post without so much as a sniff of skepticism. I’ve worked law enforcement my whole career first as a beat cop, then a homicide investigator. I am obviously trained to observe and the confession video was what did it for me. No decent trained agent, or even an incompetent criminal would allow that video to be posted. I mean it screams “hey guys there’s someone off camera watching me and making me say this#. To have someone who actually does research on these things is so refreshing. Most of them don’t question anything because they post crap that any rational, logical human being could easily prove isn’t what they claim. Thanks for your professional approach and analysis. By the way, I love your snarky little sidekick)). If Andrew has passed I’m sorry to know that part was real, I’m saddened by it, and hope his family is coping well. Especially if he was a father.

I knew a kid in highschool. He was so good at telling a believable story and had me sucked in for weeks. When he told me if he wasn't at school the next day, he was killed. He didn't show up and I told the principal. They broke into his locker and found all his story notes, the cops got involved, and they found out he was on a family vacation. He was sent to a psychologist and never was at school again
I learned he was diagnosed as a psychopath. Years later, I found him on Facebook listed as a dentist. Double checked and, yep, he's a dentist. So, this guy on the video reminds me of his behavior. It was so believable until it's not.

This is why I love this channel, you present each story like most conspiracy type channels do with photo's videos and all the online hoo ha. But instead of leaving it there, making people think everything happened the way it looks to have happened, you then dig into what can actually be debunked or dismissed, what can be proven either way and what happened AFTER said mystery. Then you leave the audience to make up our own minds once we have ALL the information about a case and not just some of it. It's fab.

What I absolutely love about The Why Files format is that the focus of the content is "selling" the conspiracy/mystery as genuinely as believers believe in it. There's no punching down (well, Hecklefish's takes that role but in as an overt charactercher and not as the 'straight man reporting' archetype). Too many other "debunker" channels take on topics and gleefully make fun of the topics to the point where anyone outside of the conspiracy/mystery couldn't possibly understand or relate to WHY some people can believe in it.
By giving the topic the whole focus at the beginning, and I ly revealing at the end the strings and tape holding it together (the debunking or results of the research) youre able to get a taste of being drawn into the madness for a moment before seeing the man behind the curtain. It's such an enjoyable experience. Thank you.

In my 40s I started up making my funeral account slowly paying for it so my family would not be over whelmed with it after I die some day.
I update my obituary and funeral info sometimes.
And I have my music listed that I want played during the visitation time.
During the short funneral I want the speaker to keep it short and explain why he or she is going to be playing this song during my funeral:
"Home Sweet Home" by Montley Crue to play after the speaker explains that I am now happily free of this sick and aging body and have went Home to Heaven having fun there in peace.
      I'm 52 now.
I remember how me and my siblings had to try and get the odd spelling of this person's new married name and mention this or that. It was a long confusing mess after our parents died, so I made my own obituary at the funeral home to help keep it easier on my family some day when I kick the bucket.

If you want a suggestion, I recommend you cover the unidentified aircraft from the 1980s and 1990s known euphemistically as Project Aurora. I worked in air defense development during the late 1980s and heard stories from radar operators who saw hypersonic tracks on their systems that nobody could (or would) explain. It remains something of a mystery today. Was it real, fake, or a cover story for other black projects? I'd enjoy hearing Hecklefish's opinion.

      @InUteroKDC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

You should read the book The Hunt For Zero Point. Aurora isn’t the focal point of the book, but learning about black projects, I believe Aurora exists. The witness testimony and other whispers surrounding the Aurora are just like when the B2 Stealth Bomber was a black project for most of the 80’s. The government most likely has an official name for it, therefore they can also deny the existence of the ‘Aurora’. Just like how Area 51 is and was officially referred to as Groom Lake Flight Range Facility.

As an aside, CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) is mandated to investigate and report (to the Federal Government) on threats to Canada's security. The agency has no law enforcement role, nor does it have the ability to close roads. Around Jasper, that authority would rest with either the RCMP, or Parks Canada rangers (who would be in uniform).
But even if Canada has no "men in black", if you're on a remote road and a stranger blocks your path, telling you to turn around, it's probably a good idea to do so.

I thought the same thing!! And the biggest problem is his sister not posting anything on social media about his death knowing she posts every day, is enough for me to know ok this dude is full of crap.. It’s easy to find out if you really wanted to.. go to the town his wife lives in or the town his sister lives in, and you will eventually find them, and then you will find out the truth on if he really did die or it’s all fake.. also I was thinking about how AJ said he was trying to make it big in music.. when a musician dies and they are “famous” their music sells like crazy.. so is that also an angle maybe he’s trying to pull? Like creating a wild story to gain an even bigger following and then make it seem like the crazy story was the demise of your life and obviously your career to the literal point of death.. So in turn your music will sell like crazy and you don’t really have to work anymore, you can just be a dad and family man and still be able to provide for them because of the music sales.. it’s almost like he retired.. while also pulling off “one of the biggest internet pranks” it’s really a win win situation for him if he’s not dead.. but if he’s dead then obviously RIP.. I’m just stating my opinion/theory..

First let me commend you on what a spectacular job you do telling these stories My husband and I absolutely love your videos and the way in which you present them. This story is so tragic, so sad. How devastating to learn of his death. And by far the most disturbing fact is that it could happen to any of us. Many thanks for taking on such a sensitive issue.

Interesting story, but even before the ending I was already suspect that the story wasn’t legit. The “CIA officer” who tells him the road is closed seems more like a hired friend than a federal officer. Same with the car that sped off who was supposedly watching him. If he was being monitored I don’t think they’d make it that obvious.

Thanks for covering this one, A.J.! I was fascinated with this story last year. Glad to see you shining a light on it and clearing up some of the misconceptions put forth in those videos. And I agree with you in that I really do hope that this was not all just an elaborate social media hoax specifically engineered to generate clicks and likes, but if was real I hope "Andrew" (if that's even his real name) eventually comes forward and let's everyone know that he's okay. If this wasn't a hoax-and he really is dead-then ... yikes! In that case someone needs to open up a criminal investigation and get the mainstream news outlets onboard. This was wild.

Plenty of stones unturned; interview family members, check public records for death certificate, title transfers, etc., check public notices for court proceedings (probate). This is all free - just takes a little effort. Then there's the big guns like Private detective agencies who have access to lots more info than you can get on paid internet searches, but costs money....

It seems to me that if I'm going to be researching items like this, that would have the government on my backside, that I would take EVERY single precaution to either protect myself, or to where it resulted in exposure that the govt' wouldn't want if something happened to me.
You have to cover EVERY base when dealing with the government. You also either have to fight or comply/submit.
