    This is the best shot help video I’ve watched for being able to see what’s happening. Normally you just get “remove trim” which leads to me snapping clips! You’ve explained how to pull the trim off properly which is really useful. Great video

    Fantastic video, every stage explained perfectly. I'd never have attempted to change the switch without this video but it turned out to be really easy to do once I'd watched it a couple of times. Thank you!

      Great to hear! What you have said is exactly that I was hoping to achieve with the video. But you did the work, so you get some credit too ☺️ good work! Thanks for your comment 👍 Cheers, Phil

    Really helpful and clear video with detailed explanation. Excellent tip about taping over the horribly sticky secondary wiring!

    Thanks for posting this video, it's the clearest one I've seen. The tips for trim removal / replacement and taping over the denatured foam are excellent.
    One question I have is whether the battery needs to be disconnected or not to change the switch. Other videos are edited in a way that makes it look like the battery was not disconnected, though they don't say if it was or not.

      Hi, thanks for the comment! No, I didn’t disconnect the battery for this but there is no harm in doing so if you prefer 👍 Thanks, Phil

      Thanks so much! Yes, sometimes I watch videos and I can’t see properly or they skip steps etc. I always try my best to avoid that in my vids. Takes more work but great to see it is appreciated. Thanks for the kind words. 😊 thanks, Phil

    Would the switch also be the root cause where the detent part on it for the fog lights not staying on when pulled back for operation, or is it the piece that you pull back on?
    Lights work fine but won't stay on because of the detent issue.

      I'm really sorry, I don't know the answer to that. I was actually just fixing this problem for a friend, so only ever did the work as shown in the video. Hope you get it sorted. Thanks, Phil

    This switch always wear off. Is it possible to repair this switch?

    • @ReviveMyRide
      @ReviveMyRide  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I’m pretty sure you can’t repair them. I have heard that some people get a little bit more life out of them by spraying electrical contact cleaner in and then letting it dry before refitting. Yes, it’s a pain how often they fail!
